Agreed! Over 450 flights on my 470LM, with KST cyclics, MKS HV93i tail, and AR7210BX (BeastX). We got off to a rough start with the stock Align servos - those never did well with my flight style and I thought she might be headed to EBay, lol. After moving to the KST's, and particularly the MKS tail, it turned into one of my best flying birds. The MKS tail is something else. This particular model was geared for higher head-speeds, so the tail spins a bit more slowly than most. The MKS servo really got it under control.
I discovered that the Align servos didn't have brass inner cups to support the mounting pin of some of the servo gears. As the servos were used more, the plastic hole elongated, causing the gear-train to move in all sorts of unexpected ways.
Also upgraded to Hobbywing Platinum 50A V3 ESC. So much better than the stock Align unit.
Thanks Jeff for rebuilding it for me and getting it flying awesome! Hopefully harvest will be done and I can get a few flights in before it gets cold!! Thanks again buddy!

You must have eagle eyes flying these 470 Helis and smaller ones . Nice flying keeping it from dirt napping. 😆
Thank you! It’s all muscle memory lol no matter the size helicopter your stick movements are always the same and flying extremely fast airplanes you get really good at it lol that hand I coordination is key!
So I just started flying helis and my only experience is the BeastX.. Everyone is telling me I should upgrade the FC to an iKon or something. Is it worth it? Also, do you know where the hell I can get one?! :)
Yes 100% worth switching to a iKON! Microbeast/BeastX is a great FBL unit for its time! But! We have come a long way in FBL technology processor rate and so on. the iKON is a outstanding FBL, you get so much for your money. Auto level, rescue and unlimited tuning! I run iKON on all my helis! Right now they are out of stock for the next couple of weeks until manufacture gets the chips in that they are waiting for.

Yes, it is extremely easy to see. I film with a GoPro so it’s not the best on actual video link compared to a regular camera that has zoom.

I have thought about it but probably not, unless someone wants me to build one for them I probably will not personally buy one. Just because I am building a RAW 580 electric and Nitro so it takes care of that particular class for me.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 btw which heli would you recommend. 700 and 500 class. Want it to fly heavy like the trex 550x
SAB all day! The RAW 580 and 700 are incredible models! The RAW 580 is my favorite Heli ever! Both electric and nitro! I still need to build my electric RAW 700.
