Just wanna add up to someone in case all above solution doesn't work. You can still connect Wifi via QR Scanner.
-Borrow your relative/friend phone who has connected to the Wifi, go to the setting > Wifi & Network > Wi-Fi > Select the Wifi > and you can see the Wifi barcode.
-Now get your phone that have Authentication problem > find a scanner device within your phone > Scan the Wifi barcode.
Edit: Make sure you forget the Wifi first before scanning. That's all xD.

Here is my solution for you. swipe your fingers from top screen down and you will get a lot of icons. Press our fingers on the wifi icon. check in the wifi menu, that the wifi ON. Check your router name and the router on the list. Press a finger on the router icon, access to the advanced or sometime modify network. Tap the down arrow and change from DHCP to static. type inn 192.168.1.60. Type in your password and save, Now you can try to connect and the network will work like a dream. Good luck

Best thing to do first.......make sure you typed in the correct password. Don't go hacking into the system or deleting all your stuff. Do the simplest things first. You listen to these experts, and you might regret it.

Hi, I have the same problem on my zyzel6743 router and my mobile Lenovo Phaps 2. In the advanced setting for the wifi network, the dhcp is standard on. Change it into statis ip-adress f.instance 192.168.1.60 write on the password and it works fine. Sometimes the dchp function on the router doesn´t work. I have very good knowledge about home routers. If you have got authentication error is because the DHCP can not give your device an ip-adress. On a mobile device you cannot see if your device has got an ip-adress. In a home router the adreess range is always 192.168.1.0-192.168.1.256. As long as you give your device an static ip-adress in these range your device will work. Don´t use ip-adress 192.168.1.256. Good luck

I have an interesting problem that needs explaining please, we have a Huawei HG658b Router in the house, with a DSL cable attached to my PC with windows 7 OS, the thing is once I turn my PC on, the wi-fi connection in my brother’s Samsung Galaxy J7 prime automatically disconnects & keeps trying to reconnect but it keeps on failing.. the second I turn off my PC , the J7 goes back to normal & connects to wi-fi.. it also connects normally to other wi-fi networks outside the house.
please guys any explanation for this weird phenomena ?? any solutions?

The problem is that your router cannot give your devices an ip-adress because the router do not see the hardware adress of your devices. The solution is to change the advanced option for your wifi network fro DHCP to static. Go to settings. Start wifi network. acces advenced option or modify network option. Change from DHCP to static by clicking on the arrow on the right side. Type in 192.168.1.5. Do the same to all your network devices with different ip-adresses from 192.168.1.2 to 2448. Use the low adresses. Type in the wifi password and choose connect. Voila your problem is solved.

Sorry i mean from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.248. Use the low ip-adress first like 2, 3,4 up til 20. Because some internet provider make limit on the ip-adresses on the router.

I tried all of these methods and none worked. If this is the case with anyone, forget your wifi network, then restart your router and connect while entering your password (don't have to do static or play with any ip addresses just normal dhcp). This should work for you as it did for me. BTW all these methods ar effective but surprisingly they did not work for me

The worst you do is hard reset because it delete all of your data and your have to start from beginning. If you don´t make a backup before hard reset then you have lost all your documents, your fotos+++. The only solution for the wifi to work is to set a static ip-adress on your wifi network on your phone. I have solved my Lenovo Phap 2 Plus today and it works like a dream.
