Same tho but fun fact! one of the high schools in my area was doing a performance of Chicago but without swearing (boring) and my class went and it was one of my first ever musicals and I got to talk to people that were next to me during the breaks in between and get to know them better and now their some of my good friends!

The “uh, uh, NOT GUILTY,” the breakdown of the guy in the sheer top, the dancing and singing abilities of these guys, the FANS, the falling into the chair with the head to the side at “I fire to warnings shots... into his HEAD,” the fact that the Hungarian guy doesn’t sing the English parts, I’m- THIS IS AMAZING. Why the heck does this university have such a talented musical theatre group?
Heyo, I go here and I know the boys, TXST is the number one theatre school in the state and #9 in the nation. These guys all went through an aggressive audition process to get where they are. Our Musical Theatre major is immensely exclusive, and our professors are all very impressive individuals. Hard work, dedication, and passion is why we have such talented individuals!!

I am very impressed. Using the fan is actually quite difficult, and they did as far as almost completely synchronising it.

@@obvigrace agreed! Most people have no understanding of the difficulty that props can add to a performance. Manipulating the fans so crisply with one hand while dancing is extremely hard. I loved it!

Wow! I just saw the professional stage show and tbh, this performance was far better! The professional version needs an update, imho. Since the movie, so much more energy has been unlocked. The grit, the aggression in the movement, it's fantastic and it adds so much depth to the story line. The stage show just seemed so bare in comparison now. The choreography for the leads is fairly basic. There are so many absolutely brilliant dancers out there who are so talented! It's a pity that the choreography doesn't currently allow them to show either their abilities or their creativity. I'd love for it to be reworked into a full production. It'd be (razzle) dazzling! 😉

Holy shit, I went to NESA (North East School of the Arts, San Antonio, TX) with Preston Perez. Dude is wicked talented, played the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera back in 2017. Great to see him doing so well!
