I like using Multi surface acrylic for coverage, and a second coat is always acceptable. Great save.

Hi I like all 3 the bumpkin looks great I would leave it clear and put candy in it love the turtle 🐢.
They all turned out pretty good. When you add the sprinkles you should wait for the resign too thicken a bit and the sprinkles will not sink as bad. I like the gold around the spirals. Have a great night. ❤❤

Love how these all came out! I wouldn’t have thought to add the gold marker to the conch shell, but it came out amazing! I’ve worked with sprinkles quite a bit in my resin crafts, but have found that the nonpareils sprinkles work best as the shape really allows the sprinkles to get in all the nooks and crannies. I’ve also had issues where the sprinkles sink, so I try to add more sprinkles to really fill up the molds to the top. It takes a bit of patience, but it’s worth it. Nice save with the paint on the pumpkin. It never occurred to me to try that. I’ve got some stuff I need to go back and try that on! Thanks as always for sharing your resin crafts!
Thanks! Yes I know now to pack it full next time! It worked with sand before on an octopus I did so sprinkles are in the same category.

Hey, not everyone can say they have a Halloween turtle 😅. Yes, glitter makes everything better. I've done sprinkles in UV. Good to know it works in both. I really like how everything turned out. I wonder how little lights would look in the pumpkin?😍
I've only run into one brand of silver sprinkles that runs. It turns into a really cool, drying blood color of red. They're fun to use with geodes, but otherwise, I've never had any trouble using pearls, sprinkles and sparkles for baking.

Great save!!! It looked intentional, if someone did not know you were covering up a mistake, I don't think they would guess this was not your plan the whole time. Now I have to go to Hobby Lobby and buy candies!! :)
I like the conch, I bet it would be cute with gold leaf. I do prefer it with just the edge done.
The paint was definitely an improvement. Maybe put rafia around the center tied into a messy bow. Or even a narrow orange ribbon?

Great save! Love them all I am thinking with the pumpkin it may have been a double pour.
Had I known I would’ve packed it completely full of sprinkles so there was no “extra” resin to give it wiggle room. I’ve done that with sand and it worked.
My fav from these reveals was the shell. I thought you did great saving the pumpkin. The turtle I'd find a wish pond and put him in. or one of those rock piles you find on occasion and people have added their decorated rocks in.

If you put Silly Putty (the one that comes in an egg) to block off the entrance to the head that will stop the resin. Then when it's cured just remove the Silly Putty (resin won't stick to it.)

I don’t know if it pertains to what you were asking about the turtle head or not, but I saw someone put a little piece of clay to block the resin. It may have been Steve McDonald.

Yes I think that might work! I actually made him again yesterday for someone (off camera) and I propped his head up with something and it kept the resin out as well! 😃
A air dry clay boundary Would help you? Just put a little strip of clay where you don't want the resin to flow until the resin you already have in their dries, then remove the clay and finish pouring
Try a cork I use corks to fill holes that I want different colors

I have put sprinkles in resin for a few years now, they never ever deteriorate either, they never have with the many different ones I have used. I have used in trinkets, soap dishes, coasters, wall plaques etc.

I like conch shell with the spirals and I thought you did a great save on the pumpkin. On the turtle you could’ve also done the intense chameleon in the head to hide the sprinkles although I’m sure it’s kinda hard to get that in the head.

You could prop the head end of the turtle up on something just enough to make the resin run away from the head a little it works with the turtle mold I have like that

LOVE them. The gold enhanced the shell nicely. But it looked good w/o also. The pumpkin looked great at the end...I would have used a coppery orange rather than the purple. they all looked GREAT

Love the conch shell and I think the pumpkin was a great save. Oh my mold came in today going to have a go at that big box with the bow. Going to try resin Crete pale pink with small white pearl to look cushion like. Will post on your face book page when done. Love your guys creations and getting ideas from you as well.

Well, that was a good save I’ve seen Marcy from Mix Media Girl use sprinkles in a coaster. did not realize how big Halloween is until I got to Florida in my neighborhood. I think it’s bigger than Christmas.
I’m not one who likes Halloween so I don’t do much for it on UA-cam but fall is another story! 😁

Hi saw on another channel using clay for making a border so the resin can‘t float in areas it shouldn’t be
Omg so cute as always, love the sprinkles.....make me want cake hahah,😂😂 great save at the bottom of the pumkin...other ideas you could have gone over it in green to match the stem as pumpkins go green to orange anyway, you could have either used glue and green foil that would have given the shiny match, or you could have just used the same mica powder over some black paint?
To avoid seeing brush strokes, mix the acrylic paint with a little bit of pva glue mixed with water mix or use a sponge brush 😁🤩

Oooooooo, I think other than aquamarine blue, the violet is my 2nd favorite color. OOOOOO funky turtle!!! Seems like your 2nd pour was much thinner - the first pour was so thick, I don't think it had a chance to sink. GOOD SAVE though. You can tell people it's a new veggie, half egg plant, half pumpkin LOL. Oh, I have used "sprinkles" before, but they were fake plastic sprinkles LOL.

I made some drawer knobs with some chocolate candy covered egg and over Christmas last year I put all my creations in the shed for some time off. Apparently unbeknownst to me we had some mice move into the shed for Christmas they nibbled the resin to get to the chocolate! So upon my new year start up. I found the drawer know and it looked awesome where they had eaten round the chocolate. So be warned even though we wouldn't eat it, it may still attract hungry mice lol!!😂

I've seen "poringyouheartout" make a bridge with some type of clay on a turtle. Like air clay or something like that.

I actually really like the pumpkin! I think the purple and black along the bottom enhanced it^^ And the shell looks amazing with the gold spiral and detailed edge. The turtle is cute, I would make him a tiny witch hat if he were mine, just for giggles XP

I’m not Julie LOL 😂 but when I pour to measure resin I’m looking at the ounce markings on the container I don’t weigh it like Julie Cutts does. The glitter and everything I use on any project is always in my description box with links.
What if you used the chameleon powder in the turtle head?

Can you use play-do, and make like a dam so it won't go into his head. t
Then when you are ready to do the head, just take out the play-do.
