I feel like literally everything anyone could possibly need or want has already been made. We don’t need to make anything anymore - we just need to redistribute it amongst ourselves!! Love this - I managed to do my stockings all second hand and consumables this year!
Great finds!! Just came across your channel and instantly recognized JC St Vinnies & GW!! I was at that same GW in Eugene on Black Friday and scored some really cute Christmas clothes for my granddaughters!! Happy Thrifting!!!
Wow! You did great! So many good finds! I never knew Good Will had Black Friday deals! That’s so cool! I love finding cool things my family would want by thrifting! I live in Oregon too and love thrifting!
So funny, I wondered about that very thing! With other channels doing this! My mother in law used to thrift shop for Christmas all year long at garage sales and flea markets and estate sales. I may do some of that this year as well.
Same here I live in Buffalo NY and the prices have sky rocket so that it makes no sense to purchase these items used when new is the same price or even cheaper
Fabulous idea, one yr i thrifted a wardrobe for my mother in law, washed everything and boxed it all up, she had no idea❤❤ new subscriber excited to support you
New to your channel ❤ I can say you and your brother knock this one out of the park with the prices 👏👏 great deals ! Now I might have to go look around at my thrift stores .Thanks so much for sharing 🙌 blessings from Florida 🌴🌴
Great finds! 🙌🏻 We only have one tiny thrift store where I live (I live on the edge of the world), we’d never find all that stuff here, but we do find some good items sometimes!
My kids LOVE the thrift store! 😂they ask to spend their own money there! 😅 On Christmas I’ll be like ohh I knew you’d love it! I got it at the thrift they are like oh that’s a great find how much! lol 😅
Loved this video im in london in the uk and love charity shopping here and often buy gifts second hand as well as cards and gift tags and just clothes and shoes and toys for me
I love this. It isn't how much you spend, it really is the thought that counts. You guys got some really great, thoughtful gifts for such a great price.
I love to thrift have always done this…. My husband tells everyone that we can take 100 dollars and completely decorate and furnish a room…. We live in a 1930 home and every room has been decorated by the thrift stores…. It took me three years to finish it but we love it!!!
@@SoleildePerez you can find new things at a thrift store. And besides if you’re shopping for children’s toys, the toys will be thrown out in a few months anyway so why shop new when you can shop used
Good Will’s prices are on the high side in our area and they never have a discount on anything. I prefer to shop at the thrift stores that actually support our churches, veterans, and homeless shelters.
I volunteer at a charity shop and I bought my wrapping paper there - also bear in mind that children under the age of 5 won't know that their Christmas toys are pre-loved.
Hi Iam possum from Sydney Australia and I think the idea of thrifting at Christmas is a awesome idea hope you and your family have a blessed and merry Christmas much love possum
@ReneeBrownVids I am enjoying watching your older videos. I came across this video this morning and I'm happy I did. Thanks for sharing your videos. I live in a small town and we do have a Goodwill but it is privately owned and they do not have color tag discounts... I've never seen that before, Lol. I have to go an hour away to a Goodwill that has discounts!
@@debbie5602 I’m so glad you are enjoying it! Color tag discounts are the best, that’s too bad your goodwill doesn’t have them! Thanks for all the comments!!
Hey, how's it going? From another Oregonian .... I grew up close to Junction City (Corvallis) and from what I can see, the thrift game in that area is a LOT better than it used to be. You did great ... all that Christmas stuff ... if you spend the full price on it, you risk having a bunch of stuff you paid a lot for that you can't/don't want to keep when the holidays are over. But your thrifting mojo is strong. Good job! BTW ... FAO Schwartz is that big, fancy toy store in NYC and if you've seen the movie "Big," that's where the Tom Hanks character dances on the giant keyboard.
My Goodwill no longer has color days, they didn't have black Friday sale either 😕 I have three pretty close to me and they only do their Sr sale and one 50 percent off sale per month. It's pretty lame...
Hello I’m new here! Hope we can stay connected!! I love thrifting. Seems like over the years people have truly forgotten the real meaning of Christmas and what it means to exchange gifts..
WE DON'T HAVE NICE STUFF IN OUR GOOD WILL..THE STAFF GOES THROUGH EVERYTHING AND TAKE THE BEST. ITS ALWAYS BEEN THAT WAY.LAFOLLETTEE TN.CAMBELL COUNTY.I DON'T EVEN GO ANYMORE .A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T GO. ITS NOT WORTH THE TRIP.STUFF THAT IS GIVING TO GOOD WILL.U CAN GO TO WALMART AND GET IT CHEEPER
Does anyone have any hints for getting rid of 'charity shop smell' when buying new items of clothing to gift? The clothes can be brand new with tags, and donated by a company, but after a few days in a charity shop they pick up a very definite scent which is hard to define. Not a dirty or damp smell, just a very identifiable odour. I am reluctant to spray them in any way, and don't want to wash them as then they are no longer pristine new. And it's a shame to discard the thought of giving them, just because of the 'niff'.
I would suggest washing them no matter what, it takes away the smell and is the safest bet as we don’t know where the clothes have been before we find them. You can wash them using a gentle detergent and hang them immediately to avoid wrinkles after the dryer :)
While I applaud thrifting and have often give thrifted items as gifts, I am working towards fewer 'things' and more experiences/charity. Why spend time and energy looking for another tchotchke to catch dust or another pair of jeans to replace those with small holes (instead of doing visible mending)? Why gift wrap (and then throw the gift wrap away to an already full landfill) when you can give a coupon for a picnic at the local park or a drive to the closest waterfall or even donate money to a charity in their name? Stop BUYING even second-hand things and instead offer EXPERIENCES.
Not everyone wears pajamas, my Family and sister prefer Gowns, and most men don’t like seeing their women running around in ugly pajamas ok , my Family doesn’t want used items for Christmas 🎄, But I do Love thrifting for my self, and Home Decor,

Thrift store prices here in Canada are getting ridiculous. Most times, it makes more sense to buy new.
You found some great items.
I hear you! I'm lucky that I live in an area with great thrifting, it's getting harder to find good deals for sure!
Same here I live in Buffalo NY and the prices have sky rocket so that it makes no sense to purchase these items used when new is the same price or even cheaper

Wow you found great items at fair prices.
I don’t know why people don’t thrift for gifts more. It’s reusing items and inexpensive(sometimes)
Right? Especially when stuff is new in the box 🥳
Maybe, because, once a year, people would like to get something new as a gift!

I would, I used to but in my area it's so expensive the thrift stores price items like it's brand new or even more. It started after covid.
Love this! ❤
Great finds, save the planet peeps 👏 😊🎉
Great video!
Loved the video. Genuine, relatable and no faff 😊
Thank you so much, that’s such a nice compliment 😇

That’s how it is at the local St Vincent de Paul, they mark up everything, even if it has stains and is super worn out, so not cool
Goodwill sells some of the more vintage or valuable items online.

I have come to the conclusion my thrift stores suck tremendously
This made me laugh out loud 😂 granted I went to multiple ones to get this haul over a few days (that’s my secret 😇) but yes some thrifts suck 😂
Do you buy new? Or both new and used?
In this video, all items in the haul were thrifted!
I love thrifts stores but dollar tree these days are much more inexpensive then thrift stores.

I literally don’t care what most men like or don’t like 😂 I can wear what I like thank you
