I dunno, I was led away from the Boss RV6 reverb because it was so boring looking. Turns out that was the pedal I really needed. A lot of these cheap boxes are covering up poor basic reverb implementation with massive signal tweakage. Great for demos, but for practical use most people want something more subtle, even for ambient.
This is wonderful! Sold! Heck, i might buy 2. I thought the Pure Sky was Caline's finest moment, but this takes the crown for most awesome Caline pedal and budget pedal, period.
So, I was undecided what reverb pedal to purchase, I'm torn between this Caline Mariana and Joyo Atmosphere. Thanks for this demo. I ordered mine via Guitar Pusher Philippines.
I dont know what sound you are looking for, but also consider checking the Caline Snake Bite. Its cheaper and you have more control options (at least of a Hall reverb) : ua-cam.com/video/0xN88L276og/v-deo.html
I have the caline ragnarok reverb pedal I will definitely be getting this and the wonderland to add to my board the price is crazy for the sounds you can get
This pedal is worth it alone for The Abyss setting...it's beautiful...how do you get the slow rise time ? The pedal would be even better with a stereo output but paired with a stereo reverb downstream you can get incredible sounds...

New pedals: Julianna, Mariana, Franciscana, Joanna....😋 Caline doing more than just copying other pedals as some other brands...Caline is actually making new stuff. Come on Behringer and Nux you can do it!
Mariana obviously refers to the largest and deepest trench on the planet, which extends several miles below the ocean floor. It fits with the pedal's oceanic theme.im not saying these cheap companies don't blatantly copy big named brands in both naming and circuitry, but this one seems aptly named.

Just ordered the Wonderland now I hear this in abyss and think I might have ordered the wrong pedal. This has so many options. Kraken might have sealed the deal.
The Wonderland paired to Mariana just sounds awesome! There are 1 or 2 review videos here that do just that, look for them. Today I could get a bargain on both so I ordered this one and the Wonderland as well. I was waiting for a nice enough discount to justify buying them as I normally only play straight rock and hardrock =)
I own a bulkload of pedals, except for like 20 different gain pedals I also have 3 delays, 2 chorus, a Pockverb that really has great reverbs, phaser, flanger, chorus, a Flamma Mod that has multiple fx, an old Digitech RP500 multi fx pedal that has tons of pitch and harmonics options, it would take a bit more work and fiddling knobs but I could produce all these sounds with what I already have, I tried, just to prove to myself I don't need this Caline pedal. Still I am tempted to buy this pedal after seeing your video, I wanted it since I first heard it and can get it for 71 euro now, would be a fool to let that pass. Then I want the Wonderland shimmer pedal, also for 71 euros, I fell in love with that too, even if it's more like a one trick pony. I will probably hardly ever use them, I'm a blues/rock/hardrock guitarist lol, but I like to experiment from time to time...

I had these pedals in my sight for a while now but was waiting until I could get a nice bargain, today was that day =) I managed to grab this one for 70 euros, thanks to Ali coupons and coins, and I managed to order the Wonderland pedal as well for the same price, that's 16 euros cheaper each, can't wait for them to arrive. I plan to chain them, feed a delay or 2 into it and then through another reverb, and use some modulation effects as well, I'll see where I end up but I already know I'll have hours of fun with them 🤘
@@peter333 Wonderland is good for kindalike shimmer effect. I use it in the same way as Mariana. It's interesting to put a Boss RV6 after it or even a Joyo Atmosphere. You can get cool reverberated tones at lower price 🎶
@@PerryFrank I have the Ammoon Pockverb, it has some great reverbs and can be used as reverb, delay or reverb+delay, I plan to put that behind the Mariana and Wonderland, and a Joyo D-Seed delay in front of it, as well as a bulk of modulation effects. I spend too much money on guitars (and watches) and I have a great sounding amp, that's why I like to save money on cheap FX pedals. I don't care if it's Chinese made with a weird name that costs 20 times less than a boutique pedal, but sounds the exact same.
@@PerryFrank Received both pedals last week, amazing! They're on my FX loop board, connected in between 2 delays and before a 3rd reverb. I put aluminium caps in matching colors on em, it's just an awesome and massive wall of sound. Even my girlfriend likes it, and the dog doesn't escape the room, that says a lot lol. I will spend many hours playing with these pedals.
Will not replace my main reverb (Caline Snake Bite), but is a nice addition. Wish it would have a mix option on the Abyss and Hot Springs mode, a bit more options on the longer verbs would be a blast. Still have to find some sweet spots for the other modes, a bit hard with the controls all over the place 😆. I mean why is the rate on Mermaids on knob A and on The Deep its knob B. And I guess the "speed" on Propeller could also be labelled "rate".....a bit confusing 🙃.
Agreed, most of these 'multi mode' pedals have the controls all over the place, because every mode demands different controls. I own a pockverb for almost a year now, it has like 7 or 8 different reverb/delay modes, and a Flamma Mod with like 10 FX, I am struggling every time again when i switch modes, I will never get used to it. It is confusing but I guess that's just part of the deal when buying cheap pedals. At least this one has a little list on top of it, even if it's in small print =)
It's a new pedal, they probably have to make a refresh in their site. I see they have uploaded only the new dcp series. Probably they'll do it in the next days or weeks.
Hi Perry Do you still enjoy this reverb? There are so many budget pedals that sometimes it's dificuld to choose what right for you. In my case I want a pedal that can give me traditional reverb but that also has the possibility to give some ambient sounds with decent quality.
Bought this pedal a few days ago and it’s quite challenging for me to find any use for it as of now aside from ambient music. Especially the Bends mode. Fun pedal though.

Ha un buon suono, può sicuramente essere paragonato alle serie mini della Mooer. Ovviamente non può essere paragonato alle fasce più alte, non reggerebbe il confronto. È un buon pedale di fascia medio bassa. Per avere qualità di suono, come in tutte le cose del resto, a parte qualche eccezione bisogna spendere ovviamente.
PS le modalità The Abyss e The Kraken sono interessanti e combinate assieme all'altro nuovo pedale della Caline, il Wonderland, si trovano sonorità molto interessanti che presto pubblicherò 😊
Bought it. Kinda disappointed at first glance. Ran it through the FX loop of my amplifier and it was a total tone-sucker. The level of the guitar went down significantly and the reverb sounds kind of like a tin-can. I'll try running it direct to the amp to see if it makes a difference, but at this point ... kinda regret not spending more money on a better reverb pedal. Guess you do get what you pay for. STAY TUNED!
Honestly this pedal sounds like a scam to me... the "mods" are actually just the addition of chorus, flanger and tremolo effects to a regular reverb. While the final result is kind of cool at first I think that it's almost guaranteed that the person will get sick very quickly. The reason is due to the lack of knobs to change the effects (chorus, flanger, tremolo) meaning that you're literally stuck to the factory settings. It could have been easily fixed by replacing the "bass" and "treble" controls with a "tone" and "rate", making the pedal too much more flexible. In short I would say that this pedal is for the guitarist who wants to produce crazy sounds but have money for only one shot. Other than that I would recommend to get separated reverb, chorus, flanger and tremolo pedals (or if you want to go cheaper forget about the chorus as you can get a very close chorus effect with a flanger). I came with great expectations but am leaving disappointed. _EDIT: If you want a GREAT reverb for a steal price go for *Ammoon Pockverb*. I think this is absolutely unbeatable._
@@PerryFrank On the contrary, but there's ambient and their cacophony. A couple of those FX certainly went into those regions . . .several others were very usable. I use either an EHX Oceans 11 with an EHX Small Stone or (when I have time) a Mooer Ocean Machine. I'm thinking of switching the latter for a Halo. The '11' is a handy size.

Probably the best Caline pedal ever, together with the Wonderland and Ghost Rain.
I got this pedal today. It doesn't do the swell on it's own, would need to use volume pedal/knob.

The Abyss is basically a fully wet reverb. Some of the other settings allow reverb mix.

Quite a few genuinely lovely FX, but a couple of equally appalling gimmicky soundscapes.
