They go from one scam to the next. This sounds exactly like a scammer I encountered who pulled the same scam from Malaysia (bidding on a contract, car accident requiring emergency surgery, crying, no money, fake pictures from a hospital bed). Fake doctor saying he would die without the operation. Probably the same group of scammers. Six months wasted. I knew it was a scam but they deserved an Oscar for that performance 😂.

If someone keeps calling you late at night, turn your phone off or block them. That’s such disrespect after being told not to do it and continue to do it anyway.
Personally, if you call me and wake me up out of a dead sleep, ya darn well better be calling to tell me that one of my elderly parents or my sister have died. Otherwise you're gonna get cussed out in a manner that would put an outlaw biker to shame.
Yep. That’s exactly right. That’s why I hate getting messages in the middle of the damn night while I’m trying to sleep! That’s why I have my iPhone on Do Not Disturb after 9:44pm! I do not wish to talk to anyone after 9:40! 😂 I need my beauty sleep dammit!
My dad used to hate being startled awake, so whenever he was sleeping, we all kind of tippytoed around til he woke up naturally and I take after him. If a scammer tried to call me in the middle of the night, I guarantee you he would only do it once. I would be calling him all kinds of names before my eyes were even open yet. 😴😴
