Personally, no matter how much the sniper struggles, I consistently find myself having so much fun, and playing the best with it. I just think that with the sniper, melee is a bit more necessary, which makes for some interesting variety in gameplay. (not to mention how cool it feels to hit a quick scope shot with it)
Solid list Furnas, the middle of the pack weapons prolly come down to personal preference, but the top of the list looks great, i need to mess around with orb more, but that thing CHUNKS.

very true and I'll continue to say that it's not actually a bad weapon, it just ends up needing some stuff to work well for most runs and that's too limiting to be ranked high for this kind of tier list. If I were to rank specific individual builds, then rocket definitely has a very top tier build.
With rocket launcher, i had the privilage to build what i call "soldier". Theres a legendary perk that lets you launch yourself with your own explosive. thanks to that, i was hopping around like a mad man and getting to hard to reach places where i couldnt be touched. If you combine the rocket launcher with chances of a tripleshot, squareshot, or just anything that lets you fire more per shot, its not a bad damage dealer.
i agree with everything on this list but man i struggle using the orb launcher for some reason. it might be the slow projectile speed. i gotta give it another try
I would've usually put them in A or even B, but the current fire rate and base dmg is just too nice rn. I still prefer to run laser cannons or minigun for my vids though!
I've had the game for about a week now, I got my first diamond with sniper and just got my second with laser cannons. Me and my friend both really did not like the crossbow when we tried it, but I'll give it another try and attempt to get diamond.
Another thing I would’ve mentioned for the arcane wand is how the splash damage it starts with is also really helpful esp since this is a solo player tier list
I don't understand why you say arcane shot is better than fire shot. In 1 second you lose 10 fire stacks and 15% of arcane stacks. Above 66 stacks, 15% is bigger than 10. At the same number of stacks they do roughly the same dps, but the arcane stacks fall off much faster once you get above 66. if you can get arcane stacks faster than fire stacks that makes a difference, but I'm not sure if one gains stacks faster than the other.
Proc chance for arcane shot is 2x that of fire shot at level 1, so in general you'll see it proc more often in "normal" length runs. Yes 15% > 10% but 15% of 200 stacks is < 10% of 100 stacks so arcane would deal more dmg over time up until the proc chance for both elements is very very high. In an infinite run, fire might be better, but that's not what I'm ranking here.
@@TheeFURNAS_ I do agree that the wand is better than the flamethrower. The range on the flamethrower feels awful and having a base damage of 1 isn't good either. Plus you're right that the proc rate on arcane is also higher.
Imo the laser cannons are my favorite weapon due to fire rate, 1 you can activate shot abilities in seconds, examples are: mace shot, piercing wave etc. 2, sharp shot damage goes brr. And 3 greed perks are really fun to use since at one point they become insanely op but since you can't drop them you have to choose
yeah laser cannons go hard. They might move up to S tier once the current beta hits as a full update. I'll probably revisit these rankings with every major update now that they happen less frequently and contain more substantial changes each update.
Didn't expect a comment, also what do you prefer Glass cannon or damage seeker Aside, yea it might since getting things like dagger arc, waves, mace shot an more on this becomes overpowered if you upgrade them enough to get like a 3% trigger chance on each shot, and honestly greed perks help this gun a lot since the global damage makes it to a good enough percentage giving you like 126 per shot, 2x because dual, 50x because of mag size if you don't get anything like ghost ammo, and that is base shot calculations with like little global damage
Okay, I am going to have a controversial take here. I'd rather have dual pistols over dual shotguns. Reason being is that they both lose out on the Bullet Time ADS, but the safety net of range on the dual pistols made the diamond run for it MUCH more bearable. While I enjoy the dual shotguns, under the context that we are playing for a "win" and not necessarily maxing it out to its best potential, I'd rather have the pistols. With only 4 guns left to diamond (Arcane wand, cluster launcher, marksman rifle, and blade launcher), dual shotguns have still been the hardest diamond I've done to date. However, if you can get a consistent build with the shotties, yea, they are a lot better. With that all being said, the flamethrower is the worst weapon because its hard as hell to build in diamond runs, and also suffers from the range issue.
About to finish up Ruby for all weapons before doing full night are runs with them, honestly both the dual shotty and pistol are nerfed by not being able to aim, dealing with projectiles is so much harder when you cant change your land timing. Only got 4 achievements left then I want to try the speedrun stuff since it looks fun
What if duel pistols had a fast firing/low damage in the right hand and and a stronger but slower pistol in the left hand. This would make them a very unique weapon.
i was hoping for a list that had any weapon on F rank to try out, the rocket launcher was my first to get a run over nightmare run with full modifiers (i did before this video), so i don't know what to do now.

I have a debate with my friend about Crossbow (my fav) VS Sniper Rifle (his fav) which one is better, i got really defensive about it since he said that crossbow is one of the worst weapon in the game lol, good tier list and i pretty much agree with all of them.
Crossbow is better for normal length runs. But in a theoretical god-run, sniper will be better. Like if you have level 255 rapid fire and whatnot then fire rate doesn’t matter so it comes down to base dmg per projectile and sniper has the highest. But hardly anybody does those kinds of runs so Crossy is still effectively the best. Definitely better than sniper 99% of the time IMO.
They're both solid for sure. It's hard making these tier lists because of the different difficulties and solo vs co-op and how much weight I put on base DPS vs effective proc rate vs build variety.

Fair enough! There's definitely a lot of personal preference with the current weapon balance given how close everything is. I hate losing ADS and would prefer burst over DP 100% of the time though.
Too much emphasis on DPS. Arcane wand is meh because its a projectile, and has no damage. You can actually miss if you are forced into kiting mobs unlike hitscan weapons. While diamonding the weapons after coming back the ones I struggled with most were the cluster launcher, and wand taking me a total of 3 tries on each. If you have weapons that can always take out whatever target they want at almost any range (ie projectile mobs) then you have a weapon that can persist through really bad bouts of RNG, or you can onboard much more risk than you otherwise could. The 2 sniper rifles, and the Seagle are insane in my opinion for this reason alone though I think the autoshotgun is currently massively overtuned so I think its the best weapon in the game and its not even close.
Good points all around. Hitscan/fast projectiles are definitely super helpful. To be fair though I literally have wand at 13/17 so I think it's criticized a decent amount in my video. Maybe it could be 14th 🤷♂️

@@rgentry9 it used to be worthless. Now, mods like arc shot are additive. This means the arc that shoots is in ADDITION to your normal projectiles. So it would basically double your projectiles for the crossbow when it does proc!

So question. My buddy and i play crab champions quite often, he always tries to tell me that building crit is useless. Is it truly useless cuz i find it very useful on certain builds.
Building crit is absolutely not useless, it's just a type of build. If you want to build crit then you should be taking crit islands every chance you get. Crit blast is crazy strong right now and crit arrow/lightning are all still strong as well. Throw in a time shot to get extra crit procs, and you will cook things.

completely fair. I think in hindsight I would probably drop the flamethrower to dead last with its pitiful 1 base dmg and being forced to go the elemental route to some extent. Definitely needs a buff.
@@TheeFURNAS_ I think one of the things that makes pure elemental builds kinda meh for solo(most of the time) is that Elites/bosses have more resistance to elements.But on top of that,like you said,the flamethrower has 1 dmg. One way to mitigate a bit the lack of dmg for me was to run and stack "Hot steam",since most of the time the fire stacks would fall off and at least then it would take more dmg then when I actually hit it. But yea,that one thing isn't enough to redeem the weapon and it either needs a buff or like items that make enemies more weak to elemental dmg(not talking about things like poison vial and such).
it's a general gaming term use to describe the act of "something" happening. Like the % chance of applying elemental stacks. Or if there's something that happens when an enemy dies, then we say it "procs on enemy death". Make sense?

I love the passion! Sniper is probably A tier now that I've had more time on the current build of the game. But a new update is coming soon so I'll have a refreshed ranking a little bit after that drops!
Dual pistols are the BEST weapon in the game. The 'focus' you get with single guns in my opinion makes you too vulnerable. You give laser cannons an A but dual pistols a C is pretty dumb. they are basically the same. also not mentioning staggered shooting with double guns in this video is an error. Coz constant shooting while one gun reloads is a game changer. I could go on but 'teaching' you why dual pistols are the best seems like wasting my time.
Nonstop firing is a valid point for the dual wield weapons for sure. Dual pistols should probably be higher up than C but I just don't see much incentive to use them when other weapons do the same thing but better
@@TheeFURNAS_ all fast firing weapons from mini gun to dual pistols become god tier when you get a single damage shot. +4 dam a shot is kinda insane. next vid you make, factor in how easily a weapon can be improved upon with one or two powerups.
I think the dual shotguns are the worst weapon in the game. They're slow, inaccurate, and only useful at close range (the range is much shorter than the auto shotgun). The close range requirement and slow fire rate makes the fact that you can't ADS float the most noticeable of all the dual weapons for me because it gives you less time to clear your landing, which I have to try and do often because of being so close. Some bosses are really gnarly to try and fight up close so your luck on what bosses you get feels too crucial. Overall I think I dislike them so much because of how wildly inconsistent they feel. Hopefully something will click with me soon. Going through the tiers one at a time with all the weapons and this one is stuck at emerald. Still a great game and good list 👍 Edit: I just got to the end where you say to be aggressive and disrespectful. Idiot dumb goober

They're definitely good. Poison also makes any weapon nuts if you get the right things for it. Such a great element.

The Seagle is s in my opinion it's the best jack of all trades in the game in my opinion that's why it's s tears.

Fire claws. You can get a bunch of fire stacks
Stacking blender & big claws with it can be super nice also. Just crazy fast melee rapid firing everything in sight!

completely fair. I think in hindsight I would probably drop the flamethrower to dead last with its pitiful 1 base dmg and being forced to go the elemental route to some extent. Definitely needs a buff.
@@TheeFURNAS_ I think one of the things that makes pure elemental builds kinda meh for solo(most of the time) is that Elites/bosses have more resistance to elements.But on top of that,like you said,the flamethrower has 1 dmg.
One way to mitigate a bit the lack of dmg for me was to run and stack "Hot steam",since most of the time the fire stacks would fall off and at least then it would take more dmg then when I actually hit it.
But yea,that one thing isn't enough to redeem the weapon and it either needs a buff or like items that make enemies more weak to elemental dmg(not talking about things like poison vial and such).

what is proc?
it's a general gaming term use to describe the act of "something" happening. Like the % chance of applying elemental stacks. Or if there's something that happens when an enemy dies, then we say it "procs on enemy death". Make sense?

the rocket launcher has good dmg and aoe attacks and it takes 2 items to make it a busted weapon
I'm putting lots of emphasis on build variety. But in hindsight, yeah, it should probably be B tier instead of C
@@TheeFURNAS_ i meant not particular 2 items but something like split arc triple etc. it doesnt take much to build it but it doesnt have many useful items outside of those and spd and dmg modifiers

I love the passion! Sniper is probably A tier now that I've had more time on the current build of the game. But a new update is coming soon so I'll have a refreshed ranking a little bit after that drops!

Not really. Just unlocking more loot for the loot pool and weapons/melee/abilities that you bring into your runs.
Dual pistols are the BEST weapon in the game. The 'focus' you get with single guns in my opinion makes you too vulnerable. You give laser cannons an A but dual pistols a C is pretty dumb. they are basically the same. also not mentioning staggered shooting with double guns in this video is an error. Coz constant shooting while one gun reloads is a game changer. I could go on but 'teaching' you why dual pistols are the best seems like wasting my time.
Nonstop firing is a valid point for the dual wield weapons for sure. Dual pistols should probably be higher up than C but I just don't see much incentive to use them when other weapons do the same thing but better
@@TheeFURNAS_ all fast firing weapons from mini gun to dual pistols become god tier when you get a single damage shot. +4 dam a shot is kinda insane. next vid you make, factor in how easily a weapon can be improved upon with one or two powerups.
I think the dual shotguns are the worst weapon in the game. They're slow, inaccurate, and only useful at close range (the range is much shorter than the auto shotgun). The close range requirement and slow fire rate makes the fact that you can't ADS float the most noticeable of all the dual weapons for me because it gives you less time to clear your landing, which I have to try and do often because of being so close. Some bosses are really gnarly to try and fight up close so your luck on what bosses you get feels too crucial. Overall I think I dislike them so much because of how wildly inconsistent they feel. Hopefully something will click with me soon. Going through the tiers one at a time with all the weapons and this one is stuck at emerald. Still a great game and good list 👍
