I still can't get over how the person who played the original Carly played Claudia. I love how original cast members return to the show. GH is the best soap opera in the world.
I know. I was like wow. I never listened back then, but I was like if Sarah Brown comes back, what's gonna happened to Laura Wright? same with Tamara braun coming back as Kim. I started really getting into gh july of 2010, but listened to all the clips before then. so, when I started, I had no Idea why Michael had to stay away from Sony, but now I know.
GH needs to get back to this type of material.

the best part about that line is how sonnys voice did a weird creepy voice change and then hearing the wow made it better
This was the only time Sonny seemed to have bitten off more than he could chew... The Claudia Zacchara storyline was one of the best on the show and the fallout of what happened seemed to have resonated for years afterwards.
He really did lose in the end. His son was shot rape and sent to prison over this mob war. He kinda won if you see he didn't die and she did. A crazy storyline. My favorite one.
Sonny was amazing and notice how Jason Morgan didn't hesitate to pull a glock on Claudia like a TRUE Hitman

That line delivery - and those audible gasps after - you still feel it.

The day they got rid of Guza was the day the GH I grew up with died. Whatever this show is now, it just isn’t capable of drama like this anymore and it’s a shame.
Guza was one of the worst things to happen to GH.

Sarah Brown played the Hell out of that role as Claudia. Most of the time, I felt sorry for her. She had an insane attachment to Johnny and took merciless mental abuse from Sonny and her father.
Mental abuse from Sonny?... where?.....when?.....Claudia was not abused a all....she told to many lies for that to be the truth....but I agree with the unhealthy attachment to her brother and her father was the abusive one.

Best scene EVER. This was the ultimate greatness of GH. Now the network has destroyed this show and is determined to see it end up in the toilet. I think Steve (Jason) left because the direction his character and the show was taking was making him sick. I can't even watch it anymore.
I wonder why. It didn't seem to bother Steve when he started playing a cold blooded murderer for the mob. And then what he just didn't want to play that anymore. Now that Billy Miller is playing Jason they are playing Jason like a bullying jerk and an idiot and to top it all off Jason is super boring now. He has nothing better to do than go around town bullying people and being a jackass.

Wanted to add about Claudia I actually felt sorry for her character more than I ever did for very early Carly as played by Sarah brown as well although brilliant acting to make early Carly who was pychotic & immature & extremely entitled & would eat anyone alive who got in her way including people that were nothing but nice or wonderful to her. Also weird how Claudia got all the blame for micheals shooting. Even more so than Jerry Jax who she originally contracted to take the hit out on sonny but sub contracted to Ian devil the idiot shooter who took the shot w/ Micheal standing in the room! Claudia had zero idea Micheal would be there & felt horrible it even happened. Sonny had kidnapped & beaten her brother ( later son which didn't shock me given her serious over protection & esp close relatiobship w/ him I recall it speculated she might be his mom but fans were saying sjb literally was way too young to be BB mom unless she was playing older & bb was playing younger & they did later explain she had him very young & underaged but in real life the actors were like 5 years apart but thats soaps!
This has got to be the best scene in 47 years of GH! I love that Brenda is back, but I miss Claudia so much!

Dude, i remember watching this show with my sisters after school, as a 13-14-15 year old it was some intense shit lol. This was when GH was really good. Id never stop to see it now though. I hate Soap Opera's, but this was good.

You remember when your own brother kidnapped Carly and chained up like a caged animal to steal her baby? How many times did Jason try to tell you and you didn’t listen? I’m sorry this is a pattern of behavior that even now has not changed.

MB was great but since this sadly was Sarah's 2nd swan song on gh she was masterful as usual. I never once saw Carly ever. That's incredible acting. To come back to the same soap where she originated & brilliantly dominated the show & in her first few years Carly was as pychotic immature narcissistic schemer as they come & somehow turned it into a leasing role. How horribly she treated people who Didn't deserve it ( bobbie her adopted mother Virginia aj even jason she destroyed who gave up so much for her she stomped his heart when he finally got up the courage to be in a relationship w/ her she immediately sabotaged it & broke his heart thus time viciously by banging his best friend. She literally took the 4 people jason Morgan from 96 to 99 loved the most sonny Robin Micheal & herself & ruined it. Robin sorta did it to herself though by blowing up the secret about Micheal after a year to stick it to Carly saw Micheal/Carly as in her way & miscalculated thinking jason would understand why she did it & I think she believed he'd get why she did it & never stop being in love w/ her instead he got wise that Robin was just as human & immature as anyone else when they lose the man they love when he chooses to live w/ another woman in a family even though at that point he wasn't in love w/ Carly the results were the same he chose Micheal & Carly to live w/ knowing it was crazy to think he Robin Micheal & Carly could all come exist in one home when thats just nuts esp given robin knew Carly had her eyes on jason. What she did to aj before Micheal was born was unforgivable & all that led to ajs spiral to the end. Tony Jones I didn't start watching gh regularly til the Carly bobbie Tony debacle but was a heroic wonderful dr & to quote Justus to Carly about how jason was starting to learn to lie " once upon a time Tony Jones was an honest man & then he met u " Tony was never the same after Carly & although I didn't have much sympathy for him when he went off like a fool sleeping w/ Carly who was half his age & burning down his family w/ bobbie. I know bobbie & Tony had a rocky marriage from the little buts of history I know & Carly telling him he was micheals dad over & over then when she discovered his custody papers when she was 8 months pregnant she brutally ripped Him to shreds & took the paternity secret about aj she moved heaven & earth to hide wielded as a weapon at Tony. It was actually quite scary & brilliant at the same time how quickly Carly w/o hesitation said jason was the baby's dad. She was so smart how she Said " all ur friends were right about Me I am trash & a liar & I lied to u " then " im gonna tell u a little story ... boom. Gh history changed forever that day & thanks to Sarah's stellar on her way to her 2nd of 4 emmys in 5 years playing Carly. So for sjb to return & be acting against the exact same characters & original actors was amazing & that in scenes where she had many w/ recast Carly Luara Wright & I never saw Sarah as Carly acting against Carly where Laura had finally owned the role in 08 when Micheal was shot. To hear Claudia talking about sonny & Carly or Carly & Micheal or Carly & jason & it's all from history she created & still not see her as Carly was amazing. Like I could never see anyone else that played such a major role come back to the same show & own a new character like that it's amazing. Like I could never see mo or Steve return as recast to gh as different characters. I suppose credit should go to Laura Wright as well for owning the role of Carly which was perfect as she was actually the 4th recast so the character naturally matured & aged a bit to pull off lws new spin to Carly. Like sjb Carly had a sorta lazy gold digging not the most classy element to her while Laura's Carly became more mature in terms of working being a career woman & being a much more hands-on mom than Sarah's Carly who really wasn't very attentive to Micheal in his early Years. Also I thought lws Carly was shockingly more mature w/ Jax about joint custody of Jocelyn. I suppose that was due to her being in love w/ Jax & marrying him for love while she was never in love w/ aj & at most liked him as a friend before the Micheal mess.
2024 and this is still amazing, LFG SONNY PROTECT THE FAMILY!
I just realized that if sonny never found out that Claudia got Michael shot he would have fallen in love with her
