Had an open adoption with my son I signed over 4 years ago when he was 2 months old after his dad tried to kill us. I was running for help. I asked to be more involved in his life and they closed it. My son's dad is now doing life in prison for a double homicide after he shot his mistress with her child in her hands , just like he tried just months before me. I'm using my pain to advocate for birthmoms. This song is my hope.

In 2021, this song gave me the courage to come out to my family as non-binary. I was terrified of how they would react, but my Dad looked at me so calm and said he was proud of me. I just finished watching Pinks special all I know so far. It ends with this song, so looked it up to see the lyrics and it’s amazing. If you haven’t watched her special, you need to. She’s not only an amazing entertainer but an incredible mom that loves her kids with all of her heart. It makes me love her even more. I grew up listening to her and I honestly feel she gets better with age. She’s so grounded and grateful and puts on an amazing show.

I have always loved pink music I was vacationing in Pensacola Florida on day of check out fell broke my hip I had to have a pacemaker and a rod put in my leg. My family stayed as long as could so here I am in a rehab till i could get better to go home to Columbus Georgia. Her music is helping me through this.🎤

While I wouldn't recommend spitting into the wind, I am truly grateful for Pink and this song. Brene Brown says we raise two types of kids - ones who can ask for help, and ones who can't. I think which category a kid will fall into depends on a lot of circumstances, which includes parents who don't expect their children to fit gender stereotypes (e.g., girls being loud and strong in their passion). If we create a place of safety for all our children, they will more likely be able to ask for help when they need it. None of us is perfect, and we will fall down but get back up again to do right by those whom we love. In the end, that is what counts.
