The "mine plows" , are actually hedgerows sweepers/cutters. They were adapted on certain tanks to sweep through thick hedgerows, and destroy vegetation. Very useful following DDay, during the Battle of Hedgerows, or the Battle of Normandy .

My 1/6th scale Sherman and tiger 1 dwarfs that tiny tank. It's still a good piece which I have one as well.

Cool. I bought the Jungle Fever (Camouflaged version) from the Pacific theatre. I bought it at Walmart many years ago. I've only run it 3 times but is still like new.

It’s awesome to see you have such big smile on your face when you open the box and play with tank like a kid on Christmas. Love this tank it’s mind blowing how big it is and that it moves and makes sounds. 🖤🤩 plus you probably be able to fix cannon as it seems like a easy fix. awesome review and thank you for filming it. 🤗🖤

I had that same tank. I was a manager for the Hackettstown NJ walmart. We were cleaning up the toy section over in another store in Pa. I was asigned to run the store there while the manager went on vacation. So I bought this unit there when I saw it. Its pretty impressive. Its was good to run it out in the snow. It qould climb over many things.

Man that's an awesome tank. I have several Ww2 tanks and planes from 21st century in the 4in GIJoe scale. I love this stuff. Hey I remember your friend from a comment section onetime. He was buying all 6 Vipers at the targets when they first came out lol. I'm glad you're friends with him.

It's not a minesweeper, that's to change the model into a Rhino tank; it was used to literally cut or scrape the bocage in Normandy; a bocage is vegetation walls at the divide of fields, were the hedgerow has grown to become a penetrable wall.

the real m5a1 had a 37mm Canon that sctually has a smaller diameter and and about the same length as the models gun.

Use with care. The plastic is not good with friction. the wheels and axles wear quickly AND the front drive sprockets are a known weak area. The female hex socket on the inside will crack and split. When this happens that sprocket will no longer drive the tracks on the affected side. Some people have had luck putting small screw type hose clamps on them before they crack. I made molds from mine and cast them in zinc.

I have the non-RC version of this as well as the Ultimate Soldier Bradley IFV. They were each either $200 or $250 when I bought them at TRU way back in the late 90's. Amazing pieces. Still have the boxes and everything. 1/6th scale became very popular starting around '96 or '97 as I recall. I still have tons of figures and accessories and other vehicles. The only downside: they take up massive amounts of collection space! Great pick up, Greg!

YOU JUST ANSWERED MY QUESTION!!! I bought one at the Joe Show and could not figure out where the battery was to go. You made my day!

  • @thomasleigh8673

So I have one of these myself as well as the other version which doesn’t have the RC guts inside more of the toy version but if you want to say that the one in which you would be able to I guess rough house more and play with it where you can push it and not worry about it breaking gears, etc. lol But it’s my second RC one that I’ve had that has had the gears or sprocket I don’t know exactly the term but it has gone out on the right and I’ve been looking into it and am trying to figure out how to build them and take them apart not only with more ease, but also more smoothly, so I don’t end up with some plastic that I broke lol I had one that had a turret that was broke when I got it Got a refund for it. The guy I bought it from ended up tellling me to keep it instead of sending it back and I ended up fixing it with some spare parts I luckily had found on eBay. I was able to put it back together but the turret when it turns doesn’t turn smoothly but it still turns. Regardless though I’m wondering if you guys have experience taking them apart, putting them back together etc. as I am looking for someone who can teach me how to do this who has more expertise than I obviously have. If that’s possible maybe we could message and talk because I’m trying to figure out what would be the best way to go about restoring and even fixing the one that I have currently with the front right that’s out anyways would love to hear from you or anyone else who has knowledge on this thanks

Both are just like the one you picked up. They go great with the scout car and the Patton staff car. I would connect the howitzer cannon to the RC tank and drive it down the sidewalk in front of house . The kids loved it and it looked way cool.
