  • The first game of Playoff 1 towards qualifying towards Northern Division 1. We are playing against the winner of Division 2 Södra, Hörnefors IF in 2 games (goal difference decides the victor after 2 games)
In this first game my goalie partner Oscar is playing. We lost the game 7-4 and it was mostly due to a lot problems with mistakes and errors in the defense. That meant also that we would start game 2 with a 0-3 differential.
But what do you think about the goals, could the goalie done anything or what is your view of the goals that was allowed?

it looks to me, also previous videos, he's not ready... he should be on knees already when the other team has the ball.. helps for the positioning, and thats the next point. goalposts must be closed with the body, shots shouldnt go in in the closer side.

    My view of the goals:
1st = really hard situation for the goalie. MAYBE, really MAYBE if he would be a little more agressive... overall definetly not a goalie mistake or bad decision.
2nd = goalie´s mistake, from that angle, it should not be posible to allow goal over the right shoulder on far post. 1st mistake was at the moment, when Oscar put his left arm on the ground, so he lowered his stance. 2nd mistake (and it is hard to do it) is that he remained "on the goal line", goalie coach trying to teach us that when shooter or player with a ball leaves the area "behind the goal line", we (goalies) should copy his movement by movement on small crease.
3rd = just a bad luck, but still Oscar in the moment when defender "scores", did not even start the movement "with the ball". But definelty not a Oscar´s mistake. Only mistake I see is the stance near the post again, with hand down and weight on it.
4th = good shot, but at the moment when ball leaves the stick, Oscar is not at the "Shooting line", he is maybe 40-50 cm from it at left side. So given that the shot was really nice, Oscar basicly has no chance.
5th = again bad luck for Oscar. He deceided to use hand to block the pass, not the right leg. Hard decision, I would make same decision as he did.
6th = Oscar did maximum he could to catch the ball, sadly for him, opponent´s player did a great job. Mistake by defence.
7th = no chance for Oscar, it was situation 2 on 1 and defender did not stop ball or player, so he can score from his own rebound. Definetly defender´s mistake.
Overall, Oscar did a good job, many saves he did were hard and really nice.

Thats a very in-depth and good analysis. There are lots of ways to think about a goal and the situation around it. But as you state in several of the goals. You as a goalie can do small things to prevent a goal even if there is primarily a defending error that caused it.
And I know from my own experience that I look at goals completely different from gameday to the days after.

@@FloorballGoaliePoV Well, it is analysis that my goalie coach does after all my recorded matches. And even I can analyse myself from the video, becuase I can see things much better than in the crease, where I think that I was in optimal position but reality is different.
Well, sometimes goalie is basicly thrown to the pit when defence makes error. Not even critical one, but still...
Btw.: didn´t you and your team think about attending Czech Open tournament in Czech Repubic?

I dont think goalie could do anything, the goals often were after problems id defense and there werent lucky goals in my opinion, the oponents have just used ocasions. Thats my opinon that was a good game tho.
