I can only imagine what they sound like. The bass must be amazing coming from those huge enclosures. I wonder there are still more of these BBC speakers that are still around and in daily use like these. The owner must have very understanding neighbours.
An amazing design sensitive, dynamic and more fun sounding I bet than more modern alternatives, the drivers being in a large cabinet tuned low in frequency with low group delay means they would sound dynamic musical and rhythmic, great with well recorded material such as superoir in my vew recordings from the 50s and 60s. I use a pair of BBC LS5/1AEs (made by KEF) which also sound excellent but the LSU/10s were likely superor :)

The BBC LS series get a great reputation but these are quite outstanding.
