This kind of thing can be a touchy subject, especially in the context of an industry such as the kpop one, but I think it's really important for people to have realistic expectations and hopefully maintain a healthy relationship with food and outlook about their bodies. @@melaniereacts I think you're doing a great job using your platform to do what you are already doing well in your life outside of UA-cam! ☀️ Having done some ballet and gymnastics earlier in my life, I've been close to so many people struggling with eating disorders and it's always heartbreaking to see (but also such a relief to eventually see them on a path to recovery). I think some contexts such as gymnastics (or being a kpop star) can make you hyper-aware of your body in a way that can be detrimental to people and be especially prone to developing disordered eating or other harmful habits. But, ofc, it's not something unique to these environments and we're all subject to societal pressures and the beauty standards that often get pushed can be tough on everyone. I know we don't personally know any of these idols, but I often worry about their health, as I do about the health of other people in our fandoms and broader communities. Well, this became a huge comment! But again, thanks so much for playing a part in spreading positive messages around this issue ❤️

For Japanese releases the mv releases before the album. I think this applies for all groups For circus the mv dropped 10th of June while album dropped 22nd of June But they've not released a song before the mv before

idk how i'm just now seeing that you reacted to this but yesss i can definitely attest to how starving yourself can make you gain all the weight back and then some. i developed an eating disorder and was slightly underweight at my lowest, once i stopped starving myself my ED became a binge eating disorder and i started to gain the weight back. a few years later i'm now 2.5x the weight i was (severely obese) and prediabetic. but, i finally saw a doctor, i'm on meds and working on my eating and exercise habits in a healthy way now :) i just wish i'd listened when people warned me about the consequences of starving myself and worked with a therapist on my ED earlier sidenote, i am so glad that the boys talked about nutrition and fitness in a healthy way, it seems like they have a better understanding of it now ❤ and i really appreciate your commentary on this subject as well!!
It’s a crazy cycle isn’t it. We really need more education around this when we are younger. All we are told is “calorie input vs calorie output. Eat less, lose weight. Whilst that is true to an extent. There is such a fine line! What’s also not taken into account are stress levels, hormones, quality of life, work etc… there is so much that goes into achieving optimal health and the fact that all we are told is “input via output” is so damaging and so sad 😭 Sorry to hear about your struggles, glad you are on a healthy journey! Sending you so much love ❤️

I didn’t have any sound quality problems I tried it on UA-cam, iTunes and Spotify after you mentioned it in you other video. They sounded the same but saying that I did use the UA-cam app and youtube music app on my iPhone and iPad. Having done some ballet and gymnastics earlier in my life, I've been close to so many people struggling with eating disorders and it's always heartbreaking to see (but also such a relief to eventually see them on a path to recovery).
I think some contexts such as gymnastics (or being a kpop star) can make you hyper-aware of your body in a way that can be detrimental to people and be especially prone to developing disordered eating or other harmful habits.
But, ofc, it's not something unique to these environments and we're all subject to societal pressures and the beauty standards that often get pushed can be tough on everyone.
I know we don't personally know any of these idols, but I often worry about their health, as I do about the health of other people in our fandoms and broader communities.

idk how i'm just now seeing that you reacted to this but yesss i can definitely attest to how starving yourself can make you gain all the weight back and then some. i developed an eating disorder and was slightly underweight at my lowest, once i stopped starving myself my ED became a binge eating disorder and i started to gain the weight back. a few years later i'm now 2.5x the weight i was (severely obese) and prediabetic. but, i finally saw a doctor, i'm on meds and working on my eating and exercise habits in a healthy way now :) i just wish i'd listened when people warned me about the consequences of starving myself and worked with a therapist on my ED earlier
sidenote, i am so glad that the boys talked about nutrition and fitness in a healthy way, it seems like they have a better understanding of it now ❤ and i really appreciate your commentary on this subject as well!!
It’s a crazy cycle isn’t it. We really need more education around this when we are younger. All we are told is “calorie input vs calorie output. Eat less, lose weight. Whilst that is true to an extent. There is such a fine line! What’s also not taken into account are stress levels, hormones, quality of life, work etc… there is so much that goes into achieving optimal health and the fact that all we are told is “input via output” is so damaging and so sad 😭

@@melaniereacts exactly, everything i was taught in school about nutrition was extremely basic, and growing up surrounded by diet culture and the glorification of eating disorders (especially in the spaces i was in online) was really harmful 🙁

I'm with you Mel, the quality of the audio in the MV is SO FREAKING GOOD, I'M IN LOVE! SO EPIC! And the way they make the camera shake for some of those parts legit makes the audio experience hit harder, it's wild. They also changed the bridge bit before Lee Know comes in so it's an octave lower and it sounds AMAZING that way, I hope when the full album drops that that's the version we get. Idk what's up with this release, I wonder if they weren't originally expecting to release the song early but they decided to perform it in Japan two weeks ago, so they had to rush the mastering or something? Who knows, lol. (Also, I figured out that The Sound has a similar chord progression / melody to "The Bird and The Worm" by The Used! My emo pre-teen heart is exploding.)

I didn’t have any sound quality problems I tried it on UA-cam, iTunes and Spotify after you mentioned it in you other video. They sounded the same but saying that I did use the UA-cam app and youtube music app on my iPhone and iPad.
