  • Understand why you should use a 1.5" focal length lens for engraving and a 4" focal length for cutting. American Photonics is constantly working to improve the quality of your Chinese design Co2 laser.

Do you gave a link to this chart?

I was not able to locate a pdf of this chart on the website. Is it somewhere to be found?
Of course one could recreate it (or even make an interactive version), but Im wondering if it is available as a resource somewhere.
Thank you for insisting on these key points regarding the beam diameter.

Steve, I'd like to see you do a short video explaining the use of beam expanders, why they are used and what they are doing with regard to why a glass tube would be a bad choice for them, vs the RF units. No one really explains any real world uses with them at all to be honest.

Thank you. Nice explanation. I was originally confused what you were using as the criteria for depth-of-focus. I watched again, and believe you're using the DPI number to specify the maximum spot diameter throughout the depth-of-focus. Is that correct?

Seems like something I should understand. Unfortunately, this was all over my head.

Hello sir i have the problem for my lens co2 the dot size is big i bought the lens theta co2 i installed it with my co2 tube glass. I changed distance between lens and matriel but the smallest dot size is almost 1.5mm.how can i reduce the size please thank you for your attention

    Hi
I have a doubt - why cutting is getting wider as the job is getting progress. First during the start the cutting is good and then getting wider. We use the machine for die board cutting. Material plywood
Machine power 600 watt laser tube

if the optics are not sized to handle the heat load from the 600 watts. the ZnSe crystal is soft and the crystal can move, changing the shape of the radius. either out of the tube or the mirrors or at the focus lens. in the tube and at the focus lens there is a pressure difference from one side of the ZnSe to the other. this can cause a outcome called "lensing". when the ZnSe changes shape the focal point will also change.

Thank you so much for your reply and now I will be trying with APC lens and should get it by next week and try that. I hope Lens from APC will solve the problem.
Chinese guys says that GaAs ia more stable than ZnSe
But I am not sure about it.
I hope Lens from APC will surely help me in this problem.
      Good day

You seem like someone that really cares about details and quality - I’m sad to say that this doesn’t reflect on your website. Totally convoluted navigation, the product pages have mostly marketing speak and absolutely no details about the products.
