That shout-out from Patrick at the end was great, and very true. Grubb had some big shoes to fill and he crushed it. The whole GB/Fandom crew made these shows feel like the old days, so big ups to them.
You guys did a great job curating fun and interesting content through this whole “e3” really made it feel like the industry came together. Hats off to giant bomb.
I really enjoyed watching the conferences along with EZA, but SGF didn't really feel like E3 until I watched the Giant Bomb at Nite vods. Bringing so many facets of the industry together to have interesting conversations is just as important to this time of year as any game reveals. You guys killed it, great job.
StarField being on Game Pass means I don't have to worry about preordering and finding out it's a buggy mess. Which is a fair concern. Also to the comment about it being easy to unsubscribe to Game Pass unlike Netflix. I remember the absolute nightmare it used to be to cancel Xbox Gold on the 360. It was easier to just cancel the card and let it expire. Except you'd still get nag emails for years about not being able to charge the card...
27:00 Well, Prince of Persia turned out to be quite a bit better than 6/10, which was to be expected based on how it showed. I'm curious what made Grubb think that it being 2D was the primary reason for the negative reaction. That may have been part of it, but the disproportionately negative response to a thing these days sadly often have a common factor and I suspect the downvotes had more to do with the character than the game itself. There were people who took issue with the fact that the main character did not look Persian and blamed wokeness.
imo, i don't blame Geoff Keighley - I blame the billion-dollar companies for not promoting diversity in their ranks or sending diverse reps on the stage. Geoff isn't in charge of any of that, and he's done a lot for the industry to get us away from what E3 and the Spike TV awards was doing to gaming as a whole. Remember "booth babes"? remember E3 wanting to become more influencer-centered? Remember drunk Jamie Kennedy hosting the yearly Spike TV Game Awards? Cut the guy some slack and give shit to the companies with the actual power to hire/fire more diverse talent
Great interview but can we decaffeinate Jeff? Every time I see him he’s shaking and stepping on his own words. Lay off the energy drinks or whatever it is bro!
As he's mentioned on the podcast, he has ADHD. It doesn't manifest the same way for everybody, but it can definitely make you come off a little "anxious".

Pat Spencer, new up and comer at Microsoft
John Davison looks literally the same as I last remember seeing him on an episode of the 1UP Show nearly 2 decades ago. HOW THO?!
Y'all pulled this off.
