It is crazy how she kept up the power, depth, and energy of Decalcomanie singing SOLO!!! As expected of our broadway star Solar. Although she and the rest of Mamamoo had great voices from the start, you can really hear how her voice and technique have gotten stronger and matured over the last 10 years. Lee Mujin singing Piano Man was also such a fun surprise. His voice suits jazz really well. I loved Solar's energy in the talk portions too.
And the fact that Solar herself is a youtuber who's done a lot of hosting make this episode more comfortable to watch, because both of them had a conversation that flowing smoothly. Unlike others guest who was too passive and make it boring to watch. That's why for most episode, I'm just skipping it to the part when they sing because the conversation is so awkward LOL!
Listening to Lee Mujin’s and Solar’s duet at the end, I couldn’t help but be reminded of MAMAMOO’s early days when all they had was ambition and genuine love for singing. I think “Some” really highlighted how this is it for Solar: the stage, being with fans, and being able to share her voice.
Solar's performance of Flowers is so beautiful. I love her magnetic mid and low tone, and her vocal catched the rhythm of this song so well. Then, that belting at that "you can" part is out of this world!
