It actually isn't knockoff. Usually in China employees at the official factories sometimes take home/steal the products that did not pass quality inspection and sell them themselves as "knockoff" to make extra money. I used to live and play hockey in Shanghai and these "knockoffs" were extremely popular there as they are basically the real thing.
That and the "official" factories sub out over production and the sub contractors make extra in case there's a QC issue so they end up with extra stock , sometimes they are shipping out the back door during the production run as well , I bought touchless faucets that are the same units a major company in North America sells for $200+ with their name etched on them for 13 bucks a piece with no name on them , the shipping was twice the price of the units but I sold them for between $80 and $110 each so I still did alright on 50 units lol .
Same thing in Bangladesh. I don't know if that's still the case, though. However, back back in 2009 I met a Bangladesh guy who was dressed with super expensive brands from head to toe. Turns out he bought all his clothes directly from the factories that made them. People would take all the things that were rejected and sold it across the factories for pennies (in comparison to the "real" price). I got a lot of Armani clothes for close to nothing. lol
I think the stick and gloves might actually be legit, it’s not uncommon for stuff to go “missing” in the factory then magically appear online for sale. So yeah good deal on those honestly. That helmet is a death trap tho, looks like it would just shatter at the slightest contact.
You should of just do a slap shot contest with a real and a knockoff stick and, do a deke (I’m not sure if that’s the right way to say it) contest (the kind you see at the all star game) to test the gloves and the stick. The game test should of been the last test. Great content guys. Keep it up.
Those mylec helmets give me ptsd, my summer camp used them in my first few summers and they were awful managed to slowly throw them away as more helmets were inherited
It's not necessarily fake. In fact, it's quite likely real, just "gray market" or factory seconds/blemished. Any Joe Schmoe who is motivated enough can get in touch with sellers from Asia who will get you literally any gear you want. A friend of mine bought a pile of Bauer and Easton sticks for a fraction of the retail price. The Bauers had the serial number strip on the insides of the shaft. We actually called Bauer and asked if the stick was under warranty, providing the serial code and not telling them where we got it. They said yes. Of course fakes are a possibility, as this is true of the golf club industry. A low end stick can easily be dressed up to look like a top of a line stick. However, in the case of that Bauer Sling, it's probably unlikely.
Would you ever buy knockoff gear?! 🤔
Maybe if I was broke
No why the hell would I do that
If it protects me the same then sure
I think I am going to for most of my hockey needs , this is legit
No

How’s the hockey in Shanghai
This is the case with the Bauer gear but that helmet is dust
So they are real sticks with the same performance
That is definitely a real ADV that fell off the assembly line in a Chinese factory lol
It is
I have a ADV like that
It was really copied well or it is the real thing
It happens a lot that in the factory’s making the real things workers take stuff home and sell it as “knockoffs”
There's no way I'd be rocking that Mylec helmet out on the ice. Other than that the stick and gloves look legit
It’s not a helmet. It’s a hat.
He’s basically playing hockey in a toy John Olerud helmet from a cereal box.

That helmet is a death trap tho, looks like it would just shatter at the slightest contact.
I'm pretty sure it's a cricket batters helmet, so it's definitely not made for the kinds of collisions in hockey, lmao
@@raimarulightning No, it's a street hockey helmet 🤣🤣🤣
I want to see you guys use an undercover ringer NHL goaltender in your beer league games. That would make an awesome episode.
YESS
Yeah bring in Carey price and call him Gary Bryce
@@dylanbushmire2623 Parey Crice?
Fun fact, those advs and other sticks aren't knock offs, they are the real blanks
Where do i get it
Man bardown is just ripping out videos like it's nothing and I love it
I feel like they got hacked lol
When someone who plays goal hears someone who plays forward say hockey’s expensive. Oh you sweet summer child.
That helmet looks like if it took a slapshot it'd explode into a thousand pieces
Idk about pieces maybe more like dust
Vince be looking like Pool Party with that bucket on. I'm guessing the goalie got confused wondering what he had on his head when he took the shot.
Do a video where you all have a C on your jersey and when someone gets a penalty everyone goes to talk to the ref
This would be hilarious
Lol more bangers from bardown
You guys never run out of banger videos
We need more of these knockoff ones 😂
That was a fun video all around! Loved it 😎 with the gameee winner too😂🙌 awesome
3 posts in one day I love it
Love this series we need more
We need more Vince!
The helmet makes me so happy, I use a Mylec net I bought 8 years ago to practice stickhandling and goaltending daily!!
The Mylec gear used to be pretty popular for roller hockey in the 90s. I had some of their shin guards that looked like a storm trooper would wear
I had one of thlse helmets in white. It was terrible i never used it. But it was pretty much identical including the cage with the nose
Props for Vince! Nice seeing you featured in this video.
Lol 1:50 "Djustable Ice Hockey Helmet"
i like vince hosting these
That helmet is insane 😂
Yes boys your back for more
Is it weird that I’m kinda considering buying some stuff from the site, these look good, and are cheap af.
I like your cat in your pfp :)
remember, it took like 3 months to ship to them lol
@@austriangroyper9308 true I should keep that in mind
@@atlaslogan750 thanks, polite cat is a go to
Don’t buy the helmet tho
The mylec helmet looks like haseks mask.
Haha 🤣
Bring back the BIN BOYS please and thanks
We need a video with Copperall pants and Cooper big dome of the 1980’s hahaha
I LOVE THE MORE BARDOWN
The helmet I have used that in special Olympics for floor hockey
Sooo much bardown content
When are you guys bringing back the bin boys? I love that series!
I’m a simple woman, I see Vince, I click.
You gotta include the prices for each item rookie move
They did multiple times
@@pcotto125 not all of them though..
I buy knock-off guitar equipment all the time, some of it is pretty legit
from where? i’m looking to buy some gloves and maybe sticks
Usually only the pedals given they can duplicate the circuits.
does anyone feel a resemblance between dominik hasek's black cage with the sabres and the jofa knockoff?
For the next installment, buy some skates off Ali Express and try them out, always wondered how those would hold up!
whl pfp

Those gloves look pretty comfy to sleep on.
The bucket looks as protective as those replica plastic souvenir batting helmets🤣😂
I feel like these aren't knockoffs and that you are just buying it directly from the factory in China.
Would love to see actual testing like Project Farm / Consumer Reports / America's Test Kitchen / VT Helmet lab.
would be interesting to make nasher try the stick for your channel, see if he sees a difference
somehow there was still an “are you keeding me” slipped in
Those visors are a crazy good deal.
Vince: what do you think
Me: looking like the fucking dominator out there
Vince looks scary
I might be making a odr so that’s pretty cool also live on Oakville so it’s already very cold but idk yet
i was excited for the knockoff skates tho
Those mylec helmets give me ptsd, my summer camp used them in my first few summers and they were awful managed to slowly throw them away as more helmets were inherited
That is the quietest rink I’ve ever heard
0:05 Jordan 4 skates what a Beauty
The opposing goalie looks like goalies from the 80's who can't bend their knees.
Jesse got the dawson Knox hair
Jesse's custom skates are still dope.
If there’s not goalie gear imma be pissed
Don’t think I would ever use a Mylec product on the ice, fine for roller hockey probably…..👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Why does Vince play goalie? Dude is saucy. He’s a top 6 forward.
It was weird not seeing Vince in net.
How do you know if my gear is real? I bought skates for sale
Stone hands my lord dude
Kids, dont play with a literal plastic bucket on your head
I have these things for the gift in my 9 years old childhood
The sticks are legit. Considering most gear is made over seas.
mans says i think it was 2 bucks it was 300 bucks
Hey bardown team I think your content is awesome and all but it would be better if jesey had a narley mullet
That helmet looks like a military helmet
woah 🤯
im from Indiana, USA. There are ZERO places near me that sells hockey gear. So yes! I would.
Looks more like a very good product that got rejected than a knock off
new challenge: win a game
That helmet kind of resembles the Dominik Hasek mask
Fantom is the next Ethereum
That helmet looks like a Moe Howard wig
...I don't think Bauer is going to be happy with BarDown after this.
Jesse’s yoked!
...but that’s average for Winnipeg boys 😎
The real crime here was that tape job
new bin boys when?
Good thing they had those masks on 😂😂

Lmao probably still better by far than the gear I wore in the seventies ….
Weird seeing Vince not playing tendy
Lmao he's forgetting that sometimes things sold online as knockoff are actually just stolen
That helmet was made for Homer Simpson
I wish you would have found some skates to try out
Huh so thats what a full size human head looks like on a 15 year old body lol
I'd use the gloves and stick but not that helmet
Quite funny but these guys couldn’t break many sticks with this power on skates and in the arms 😂
The Bauer sticks are made in china. Coach Jeremy ( how to hockey) visited a stick factory the make Bauer sticks. Look up the video
more bar down
Jesse been hitting the gym?
That's a real adv lol
Does Vince still play goalie or no
Lol now get the fake jofa in the picture
Vince is bae
Do not use a helmet that isn’t going to protect your brain.
I wouldn't try knock off helmet but stick as it really doesn't protect me
That looks like the helmet hasek wore
