In today's video, I will be talking about the OPAL STONE. Opal stone is a magical stone. It is called magical because this stone has hues of many colours. OPAL STONE is a very beautiful stone. And it is known as the national stone of Australia.
In this video I will tell you about its benefits, then price, then who can wear it and how, and towards the end I will tell you how and where you can buy Opal stone from.
A) About OPAL STONE: There are 3 main categories of opal stone which are called - precious, common, and synthetic.
First I will talk about synthetic. As the name suggests, they are either lab made or fake stones. Duplets are also available in these particular stones in which the top layer is of opal and the bottom is either quartz or any semi-precious glass.
Common opals have different varieties but the quality is low. You can identify the low quality as there won’t be many colours visible in them. Only 2-3 colours may be visible.
There are many colours visible in precious opal. It is said that the precious opals are mystical.
B) Benefits of OPAL STONE:
1. Talking about the benefits, it is a very good stone for mental health.
2. Talking of sexual libido, if your relationship is not going well with your partner then you can wear this stone.
3. It is a mind opening stone and it also helps in opening the throat chakra.
4. There are multiple other benefits also for which this stone is worn. You can discuss this with your astrologer. If you don’t have an astrologer then I can recommend one to you who can guide you.
C) Formation: Over the years, silica is settled under the Earth’s crust in a particular arrangement. When the light falls on them, they give a prism effect. You might have studied this in school that when light passes, VIBGYOR is formed from the prism and different colours are emitted. Similarly, when light falls on an opal, silica will give you the prism effect.
D) Who can wear OPAL STONE:
Opal is the stone of Venus. What are the other stones of Venus? “Diamond”. If your Venus is strong and you want to make it more strong then this is the stone for you. Taurus and Libra are the two zodiac signs who can wear this stone without giving much thought. However, my personal experience says that anybody can wear this stone. If you love the stone, feel free to wear it.
E) How to wear Opal Stone: On Friday morning, wear it in the middle finger of your right hand at the time of ‘Shukla Paksh’ between 5am to 7am. It is said that a procedure has to be followed before wearing. In case you have a good Pandit Ji who you know, you can go for your ritual to them.
F) Price of OPAL STONE: Talking about the price, from Rs.1,000 per carat to Rs.10,000 per carat you will get very good stones. However, if there is an extraordinary stone that you feel ‘wow’ looking at then the price range can go up. As the size gets bigger and the properties are better, the price will also increase. So Rs.10,000 is not a limit.
Be very sure that whenever you buy a stone you get it with a certification. Without certification is a bad idea.
So make sure whenever you buy a stone, you get it certified from authentic labs registered under GJEPC and you should have an authenticity bill. Do not buy anything without a bill.

A good way to tell if you have australian opal is to buy a black light/uv light.. they will glow when shined apon and continue to glow for a few seconds after the uv light has been turned off.. no other opal apart from some precious american opal does this, and the american opal that does this is almost as valuable as australian opal is :)
Also if you soak opal in water and it changed colour at all, its ethiopian opal, 90%of scams will be, ethiopian opal pretending to be australian. Its worth uto 100x less then australian opals :)
