Nice music choice- optimistic! I have the same fears for the coming summer north of Sydney- the firies are already backburning and the smoke shows in each sub as reduced snr even when it's not that obvious looking at the dark sky. As for leaving equipment in the heat, I've had the dreaded ASI sensor oil leak on both the 1600mm pro and 294mc pro when they were left in the summer sun early in the morning. Now I'm very conscience of not letting the Sun get on the cameras. So much to consider!
Rains in winter, scorching heat in summer…. I think we need a space telescope. I wonder if Elon will send our setups into space for us so we don’t need to worry about those elements anymore lol
We had >60 consecutive days with 100+F. 80% clear nights! I have been starting imaging with 93-95 F outside. Packing in morning (about 78-82), but leaving mount under telegizmo with fans blowing whole day. Worked fine.
Sounds like you’ve been lucky with lots of nice clear skies, I bet you have a bit of Data to go through. Glad to know you have a good system to keep your system cool
@@StevenMorrisPhotography Yep. After awful spring, it was “happy “ days and still continues. I indeed got many-many targets. I organized my AstroBin by collections. I substantially filled a lot of them. Thus, messier object collection is half way for completion.
Good luck this summer! It was brutally bad astro conditions in the northern US almost all summer here in the US due to the wildfires and odd weather patterns. Almost completely missed nebula season 😞 Thanks for the video and I sincere wish your Clear Skies!
Sorry to hear that, glad you were able to get some images. I hope we can dodge a bullet with fires here in Australia, we will see. Thanks mate, clear skies.
Shame about the clouds Steven, but the RGB looks good. Also good to see that all the gear is working, save for one slightly wonky flat panel. I'm not familiar with the object...does it emit a lot of H-alpha, OIII & SII too?
The object was new for me, I didn’t have an imaging session planned so I was planning around in steallrium. Could be interesting to image it some more next year, I only collected about and hour and a half in the colour channels so not a lot of data, not sure about the emission either.
Let's hope the weather really gets better and clearer mate Looking forward to a decent season this coming year
Likewise, fingers crossed for a good clear year and that we don’t have any major fires.
Awesome video, definitely coolest/craziest setup I’ve seen lad
Thanks mate!
