  • Storms in Houston led to power outages and damage across the city, including at least four deaths after heavy rain and winds up to 100 mph hit the city according to mayor John Whitmire.
"Be patient, look out for your neighbor," Whitmire said. "We're in a recovery mode."

    "Houston Storm"
Skies did transform mid day blue
A storm turned skies a grey hue
Eighty mile an hour winds blew
    Shattering glass in Houston flew
Storm passed an left quite a view

Mother Nature has been holding back on us misbehaving humans, giving us gentle reminders to change our ways but now she is about to take off her slipper and chase us out of her house.

It's called geoengineering, and it's been going on for over a century. Wake up!

Some men will always think they're very powerful. The Bible calls this false pride and or foolish pride. Psychology calls it malignant narcissism. But a tornado is powerful a hurricane is powerful mother nature is powerful.

"Don't go to work tomorrow" yeah... right, are you gonna pay everyone for that day so it won't affects their income? Every working day counts.

I tried to stay at home on the Northside, but with all the crime and stuff that goes down, I took all my perishable food and made it to my parents. They live in Alief and even through Ike they somehow always had power. The only time it failed was during the freeze when no one was spared for a week. So if the city could bury some of these lines and keep the trees trimmed, that would be great...

This is Texas. If you are afraid of crime get a gun. And burying power lines is a no go. If contractors hit a live wire that could be extremely dangerous for them. When they call 811 to locate lines i mark the lines for them and they STILL manage to hit them. Besides, its easier to make repairs above ground than to dig and look for the issue underground
