      I agree. Making these videos also helps me identify frictions so as to improve the workflow. But I need to have simple things I can model in < 15 minutes. I hate making and editing long videos

      @@nickkallen1 I try free plan now, I use plasticity for create model for 3d print. Very nice soft. But can you add more visual indicator for enge lenght? It is visable only in edge view in bottom right corner in small font. It is not comfortable.
      Or maybe I dont finde other way to indicator edge lenght?

    Great tools and presentation of them. You got a spot on approach to tackle problematic functions where other applications let their users down. Its a joy to use plasticity even when its still under developement!

    Today is my first day to try the trial version of 1.1. It was a little touch and go but I was able to make it through this tutorial. Plus I was able to improvise a bit and do things my own way. I come from a background of using hardops/boxcutter in Blender. This is definitely a great program and I look forward to continue learning it.

    I am trying the latest beta, public version.
    It's a amazing program 👍 like a drug😊
    I love it so much despite great difficulties in some basic commands and navigation. I apologize for my criticism but I think it is good for the program and for some users.
    Mainly:
    - I use Blender navigation, with the ALT key activated (preferences menu). I think many other people also have reason to use this combination.
    So, this second alternative available by default in Blender is:
    - alt + left click for orbit
    - alt + ctrl + left click for zoom
    - ctrl + shift + left click for pan
    There is also the (important) ability to reverse the zoom as you like.
    Incidentally this is exactly the same combination as the default in MOI3d. Many people who use Moi with that combination will not currently find it in Plasticity.
    The navigation in Moi3d is the same as in Blender (with the Alt key activated).

    I've been noodling with the demo trial a few days now and I'm really really impressed. As I'm still exploring, and I'm finding that I likely WILL purchase the studio version eventually, I gotta make a request for exporting. The OBJ's that come back could really benefit from cleanup. I'm finding I love the tool, but the output geo for other applications is a bit difficult to use unless you plan on using it as is. Even noodling with the settings creates challenges where edge loops are not preserved as polygons and cohesive flow is heavily disrupted. This means objects can't be subdivided and they also can render with artifacts.
    As a solution for output (The base app is amazing so far), I'd recommend a remesh feature option in the future that allows topology to be remeshed and retopologized with input taken by the crease edges for proper edge flow distribution. Close examples would include Maya 2024's Remesh and Retopo solution, or ZRemesher in Zbrush, or the 3rd Party tool Quad Remesher by Exoside.
    The objective would be to output a clean remeshed object with good edgeflow and out of the box settings that attempt to maintain creased fillets/chamfers without spiraling. I feel like I'd use this tool for most of my hard surface work if I could near guarantee clean geo output from the project.
    At the end of the day I know it depends on your goals, but I do have to say it's blazing fast, really clean interface and easy to pick up and use. I really love the product so far.

    1 minutes in and I'm already lost, Loop selection doesn't work for some reason, I keep pressing alt and nothing happen, alt+ctrl does make a ring selection though.
    I thought maybe the shortcut is changed, tried looking into the see all commands panel and tried looking for loop selection and I can't find it, even when I search for "ring" to make sure I can see the shortcut for ring selection and nothing comes up. I then thought maybe it's because I changed the navigation to maya, revert back to default navigation, restart, and loop selection still doesn't work.

No message as to what was wrong or anything. Tried a few more times and I just don't get it because its not like the lines are not out of alignment or anything touchy like that. Totally stumped.

    Tell me why such logic?
    Why do you need to double-click on an object to select it? Instead of one.
    Why do I need to select an object move operation every time? Instead of appearing on the object when it is selected?
    These unnecessary actions affect work

    • @matsy7450
      @matsy7450 Рік тому +1

      In fact, the basic most frequently used operations could be made faster, avoiding the need for confirmation after each move. Perhaps it will come later.
      Also a gizmo with any combination of move rotate and scale at once would be handy...because you can do more operations with fewer clicks.

    • @УшлыйДруг
      @УшлыйДруг Рік тому +1

      @@matsy7450 Yes, this is the first thing to work on in such applications. Convenience and speed depend on it, I see the huge potential of this application, but everything is killed by such a strange logic.
      And all these confirmations of elementary actions, such as movements and rotations, must be clicked OK! Why?
      By the way, there are very few bindings as in Moi3D and alignment, this is just the basis when working.
