Lan wangji character song
A story revolving around the carefree Wei Wuxian becomes fast friends with the righteous Lan Wangji, and during their adventures, the pair find out that the head of the Wen clan is the evil mastermind behind a series of plots that would wreak havoc upon the lands.
Wei Wuxian reappears sixteen years later, and works together with good friend Lan Wangji to solve a series of murder mysteries, eventually finding and defeating the true culprit.

You can credit it to Nie Huisang. He is the one push Mo Xuanyu to use forbidden technique. NieHuisang can't do revenge behind the Tiger seal and the one who can beat is the One one use it before ( Wei ying) so when he saw MO Xuanxu Suffering. He gave the manuscript of Wei ying to him and Study the forbidden technique to surrender his Body and Call Wei ying Soul.

This song makes me think , lwj have trouble deciding whether he should side with wwx or not in protecting the innocent wen remnants , he kept asking whether what the love of his life did was right or wrong , but then after his beloved died he realized that it doesn't matter whether what wwx did was right or wrong , the only thing that matters is that he loves wwx and wants to be by his side and protect him so he can be finally alive , safe and happy . When you love someone you love them entirely , including their flaws. Unfortunately , it was too late because it took the death of his beloved to realized something so important , but luckily lwj was given a second chance. He made sure he will never make the same mistake again and immediately decides to stay by wwx side and cherish his beloved for all eternity. I bet throughout the years of wwx death , lwj doesn't have a day that he doesn't think about wwx thats why this song is called bu wang , he never forgets.
Edit : just to make everyone cry more, after wwx died/commited suicide, did lwj realized nothing in this world is more important than xianxian not even his own sect , so from then on he will always be on xianxian's side , no matter the fight or arguement, even if he has to betray the world.(which he did)

I don't know if my wording is correct, but this saying was based on the song/music video Mourning for Love (that is, most fans use this quote). And is also related to this song.. Losing someone you really love is unforgivable. Lan Zhan was torn between the principles of his clan/sect and the principles of Wei Ying. Until that he felt regret for not staying by his side. Many years later, recognizing Wei Ying in the body of Mo Xuanyu, after he played the song that Lan Zhan composed, now, to set things right. Making sure that he will not lose Wei Ying anymore.. 😔
Inquiry is the song that has the power to make people communicate with ghost/soul. Lan sizhui plays it to communicate with Aqing in Yi city. Lan zhan plays it for years just want to get the response from the Weiying, since Wei is dead.

Omg.. This is the first time ever that I cried this much over a song.. This is so heartbreaking.. Lan zhan suffered a lot.. I know how painful it is for the ones or one who is/are being left behind by the deceased one...Wei wuxian must have definitely replied to Lan zhan but his soul was stolen as he himself said that he didn't know what happened in those 16 years.

This song makes me cry thinking about Lan Zhan playing inquiry looking for Wei Wuxian and he didn't get any answers. He was going everywhere in those years for all what he didn't do with Wei Wuxian but then some miracle happened and he got his second chance. So beautiful and sad at the same time

@@ashleyhua9705 almost all character's voices are dubbed but their character's songs are originally being sung by the actors themselves. Xiao zhan is a professional singer and Yibo sings too hence their voices are so melodious. They also have sung some single tracks respectively before "the untamed" too.

Okay first off, major credits to Wang Yibo for bringing Lan Wangji to life! His portrayal of the character leaves a lasting impression! Hard to believe he was only 21 at the time, he gave us a memorable man. 🤍 The way he sang Bu Wang, you can feel Lan Wangji's heart through it. That's true talent, he was able to not give us Wang Yibo as Lan Wangji but Lan Wangji himself that we could feel his pain. Thank you Yibo🤍

"Where are you now" ....After fighting all sorts of evil since wei ying stopped swordsmanship he uses crafty tricks controlled by the Stygian tiger Amulet which is said to make a person powerfull as yiling patriach was during Jin zixuan's mourning death people see wei ying on the roof and they start a war just to get Yin tiger seal wei ying angry throws it to them leading to death battling to get the yin tiger seal wei ying seeing this he decides to commit suicide that is why lwj asks where is he now?? Has he forgotten their promise???

The first few times i listened to this ,i couldn't stop my self from crying like a wreck. After hearing it many times ,now i could listen to it without getting teary eyed.I think that also had to do with the fact that i sing along and i don't have time to check the translation and lyric at the same time.In any case its one of the most amazing song i hve ever heard ,its a pity i am not chinese so my pronunciations are not up to the point.

I always listened to this song without looking at the lyrics.. (autoplay) but I know it is a sad song and when I look at the lyrics ...I was right and I freakin cried because I can see how hurt Lan Zhan has been when Wei Ying died... but the part "playing a song ask a soul, but no answer" gets me the most, I can imagine him playing Inquiry hoping for Wuxian's soul would answer him. Ughhh I know these character songs are all sad ever since I read the lyric for Shijie's song.. after that I don't read lyrics of character songs but it just happened to be today that I read this song's lyrics.. and now I'm a mess cuz i still cant move on from The Untamed.

I interprete this way, Lan Zhan playing inquiry to hear from Wei Ying but for those 13 years there is no response. So only two reasons either Wei Ying didn't die or his soul already dissolve or ceased. Thinking that if Lan Zhan thought on the first option, that hurts a lot. Because he want to wait but he knew already that Wei Ying died in front of himself obviously he can't denied that. So he goes with second option which also hurting himself because he never to get answer or reply... Because there's no soul to reply his inquiry.
