- Embracing the sizzling outdoor vibes, I dive headfirst into an exhilarating project in my latest video. Join me as I harness the scorching heat to tackle the challenges facing my Primal RC "Chevinator" Radio Controlled 1/5th Scale Electric 70lb Monster Truck. A while back, I embarked on an electric conversion journey, outfitting it with the formidable Castle Creations 800kv Sensored motor and XLX2 ESC Combo, alongside some mind-bendingly potent NSDRC steering servos and a plethora of other custom enhancements.
Regrettably, during our previous outing, disaster struck as a catastrophic failure struck the front axle, leaving the front differential in shambles. The once-thriving power delivery to the front axle dwindled to a halt, leaving me baffled and pondering the underlying issues. But hold tight, because those days of uncertainty are behind us now. With the expertise of a seasoned pro, I meticulously dissect the situation, embarking on a journey of diagnosis and repair.
But before we dive into the nitty-gritty, I can't resist showcasing the sheer grandeur of the Primal RC 1/5th scale truck. Picture this mammoth of a machine, gracefully cradled within a wheelbarrow, as I parade it through our court, an undeniable testament to its colossal presence.
The time for diagnosis, insight, and action has arrived. Join me as we unveil the secrets beneath the surface, breathe new life into this mechanical behemoth, and get back on track to conquering terrains with unmatched fervor. Are you ready to witness the revival of the "Chevinator" and embrace the relentless pursuit of RC excellence? Let's delve into the heart of the matter!

On my V3 Raminator I broke a total of 4 diff cups. I upgraded mine to the Taylor diff cups and I have not broken one since. My screws were doing the exact same thing on my ring gear. One thing that I saw that work that I actually did on mine was taking a longer screw, shaving the side of the differential case and putting a Nylok nut behind the screw. Love the videos keep up the great work.
That worked pretty well for me too, don't forget the brass bushing on the output shaft of the axle. Check all those axle bearings too, you will have a few that are failing.
Man I love the look of this truck!!! Very freaking cool!!! You and EXO Cage have the sweetest Raminators out there!!! Rock on MED!!!!🤘🤘🤘
I'm so happy you made it through the terrible weather in Nova Scotia. It's been a crazy weather summer in canada
I hear that Hawaii is going through the same thing now.
This is what makes the rc hobby so much fun, at least for me, and that's fixing thhings... great video with your analysis of the issues!

Amazing to watch ya working on your rc's the carnage of damage
I have always loved that truck. Good to see you getting it back up and running again
What a machine. When you twist metal that's strong. I like working on stuff like this. Thanks for sharing. Waiting for next video. Good thing you had to break it down, you found some bearings that needed replaced.
Great video Medic! Carnage like that is to be expected when you more than tripled the power going electric. But it was totally worth it! Cheers

Love it man miss your builds. Have you considered a little silicone to help seal the diff.

Weather looks great bro when are we gonna see your on road raminator again?💯❤️🤙
Will there be anymore smaller crawling? Like the little wood crawling setup in the shop you had awhile back?
Hey buddy you might need a jack stand it's dangerous without one or two 😆
I'm just getting into the construction side. What would be the best dump truck to purchase?
Would you say this is bigger than your XTM X-Crawlwer?
I really wish I could afford one but I can buy a full size truck for half the price not to mention the upgrade cost if I already had a truck and the money sure I would get one until then I will just live vicariously through you.
