    Great video but there are a few things you got slightly wrong so i'll provide some extra info:3
    Shields: While they can't tank much, they take pressure off your ship's hull (it's hp can regen if not being dameged). It will be taken down often, so you want good regeneration over pure strength. Zetki has 1s regen delay, but regenerates only up to 12%/s. Vidar has 3s delay, but regenerates 30%/s. Both are good options, Lavan is trash (unless you got that one trait and a lot of energy consumables to spare )
    (also that one vidar trait that boosts your turret damage is a joke)
    Engines: Despite having lowest boost strength, Vidar still has higher speed when boosting than Zetki - so pick either it or Lavan. They also have pretty decent boosts to boost (V) and speed (L) when your shields are down, and since drifting is how you avoid damage to get your shields back i'd pick Vidar
    Plating: The effective damage reduction from armor is 90% on Lavan, 90.9% on Zetki and 92.5% on Vidar. So, the effective hp is:
    Lavan - 6k*10, Zetki - 5280*10, Vidar - 5500*10. Lavan is best pick, but Vidar is not far behind
    Reactor: If you're using Void hole, Vidar is best pick (But VH sucks now lol). If you're using Phoenix Blaze, Lavan helps you keep it up longer while keeping nice strength boost. Otherwise, go with Zetki
    Armaments: If you're using npc crew as gunners, pick something with 100 accuracy and hitscan - the enemy fighters will melt as they appear. This includes Talyn, Photor and Pulsar. Considering Talyn's spin up which isn't handled well by npcs and Photor's lower range, Pulsar is best pick for npc crew (but all guns can work well). For player use, just pick whatever you like. Here are short reviews with best house recommendations:
    Glazio - Zetki
    Medium range (full damage - 2k, fallof end - 4k) Status: Cold (stun)
    Very slow, so it won't work with Fortyfing fire despite it's amazing crit rate. Besides that, it's great.
    Laith - Vidar
    Short range (full damage - 700, fallof end - 1400) Status: Puncture and Slash (armor red. + damage received boost)
    It's short range makes it very weak as turret weapons, but it's incredible in hands of a good pilot.
    Talyn - Vidar
    Long range (full damage - 3k, fallof end - 6k) Status: Heat (DoT)
    Spin up makes it weak for pilots and npcs, but with it's range and hitscan projectiles it's great as turret weapons for player crew.
    Vort - Zetki
    Medium range (full damage - 2k, fallof end - 4k) Status: Electric (system shutdown)
    You'd wish it's projectiles had punch through, but even without it it can absolutely shred - as long as you can compensate for projectile speed, but with it's hitbox it's not that hard. Also, it looks really cool - rapid firing a swarm of flying blades.
    Apoc - Zetki
    Medium range (full damage - 2k, fallof end - 4k) Status: Puncture and Slash (armor red. + damage received boost)
    The ol' realiable. Better set your energy color to something dark cause it's pretty flashy. Good sustained damage, never a bad pick. Also best one for Fortyfing Fire.
    Carcinnox - Vidar
    Medium range (full damage - 2k, fallof end - 4k) Status: Toxin (disorient)
    Rapid fire, no spin-up neccesary but loses to Talyn in range and accuracy, also has the weakest status type. Still works well tho, and is fun to use.
    Cryophon - Zetki
    Short range (full damage - 700, fallof end - 1400) Status: Cold (stun)
    The slowest one, but hits like a truck. Lacks the crit stats of Glazio, but will apply Cold status a lot so if you can't kill it with one shot you will likely get another one for free. Also you can use it to stunlock crewships while your artillery charges. Bad for turrets, great for pilots.
    Photor - Zetki
    Medium+ range (full damage - 2.5k, falloff end - 5k) Status: Puncture and Heat (armor red. + dot)
    Keep it on target and watch 'em melt.
    Pulsar - Vidar/Zetki
    Long range (full damage - 3k, fallof end - 6k) Status: Puncture and Electric (armor red. + system shutdown)
    Npc crewmate's best friend, also fun for players who like to snipe. Vidar can get better dps, but Zetki has better status chance - so pick based on your preference (Vidar for slow heavy fire, Zetki for rapid bursts)
    Ordnance: Glavarc is fun, Tycho is great, Milati is a joke.
    Mods - Integrated: All i can say is i'd recommend to have a separate loadouts for your 2/3 preffered functions, and if you have 2 make 1 loadout for general purpuose. Also if you use recruit chat you can get dedicated engineers so cheap shot is not always neccessary (but always good)
    Forward artillery lets you always oneshot unshielded crewships, making turret damage pretty much a non issue. Ripload is not neccessary if you're playing with player crew, and even without it it's honestly a waste of slot with how many good mods we got.
    Mods - Matices:
    Indomitable's armor boost gives 23% damage reduction on lavan (92.3% total - 7.7% damage received, 10% normally) and 22.5% on vidar (94.2% total - 5.8% damage received, 7.5% normally) for effective 78k hp on Lavan (60k normally) and 77.2k hp on Vidar (55k normally). Shield regen normally helps take pressure off, but you will usually get full shields back when your breach is fixed so it's irrelevant here.
    Ironclad is great.
    Onslaught is amazing if you are or have a good pilot.
    Orgone is decent.
    Raider is fun.
    Mods - Battle
    Defensive: All of them suck lmao, thoguh blackout is decent if you're going for close range anyway.
    Offensive: Tether. Particle ram can be fun too, if you're a pilot. Shatter burst is nice but not realiable.
    Super: Phoenix is pretty op but the drain is pain (though apparently you can keep it up outside railjack lol), Seeker volley is great for fighter cleanup.
    Mods - Tactical
    Defensive: Breach quanta if you're running with npc crew, otherwise intruder stasis makes removing intruders less tedious.
    Offensive: Battle stations
    Super: Battle forge against grineer and their 6 crewships, Void cloak if you're gay, Flow burn if you like fun.
    Crewmates: ̶l̶m̶a̶o̶ ̶i̶m̶a̶g̶i̶n̶e̶ ̶g̶i̶v̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶*̶*̶*̶n̶p̶c̶*̶*̶*̶ ̶c̶r̶e̶w̶ ̶l̶o̶w̶ ̶a̶c̶c̶u̶r̶a̶c̶y̶ ̶s̶h̶o̶t̶g̶u̶n̶s̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶w̶o̶n̶d̶e̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶h̶o̶w̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶m̶i̶s̶s̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶l̶m̶a̶o̶
    Crewmate gunners are incredibly strong with hitscan 100 accuracy weapons. Get 2 of them and never worry about fighters again.
    If your pilot flies slow, that's a bug. Crewmate pilot + 2 gunners with you in archwing is the way to farm on corpus nodes.
    Crewmate defenders are a joke, you'd need 5 combat **and** endurance and if you have 2 gunships with pulsars or sth like that you won't get boarded 99% of the time.
    Crewmate engineers are a bit of a waste, get a pilot and a gunner with piloting/gunnery + repair total at at least 7 and boost them to 5 + 5. Then, just change their job remotely if you're low on revo. A single one won't always repair major breach in time but 2 most likely will, and if you have breach quanta you can freeze breach when it gets below 30s and just recall if it's not fixed by the time breach quanta runs out (very, very unlikely).
    (Also i'm not sure if DE added automatic recharge of dome charges but if not then your crewmates actually can make these for you, albeit very slowly)

      TLDR: get Zetki shields, Vidar engines, Lavan plating, Zetki reactor, whichever guns you like (but if you're using npc crew get pulsar/photor for turrets), use Tycho seeker for ordnance
      Use different mod presets for different roles but forward artillery + artillery cheap shot should be on all of them, use Ironclad or Orgone matrix, use Tether and Phoenix or Seeker Volley, use breach quanta/intruder stasis with battle stations and battle forge
      Crewmate gunners are amazing if you give them the right guns (better than 99% players), Crewmate pilots are decent for afk farming, Crewmate engineers are useful but not when afk, Crewmate defenders are a joke

      Defenders are a joke, engineers are great but i'd recommend to have them also be pilot/gunner so you can switch their jobs for afk farming. Defenders are weak though, even if we ignore that you never get boarded and if you do it's 5s to clean up

      also i just had my pilot with 5 repair remotely fix a breach while piloting, having repair as subrole on all your crewmates is broken lol

      Is forward artillery + artillery cheap shot really necessary? I mean ok, cheap shot is useful but forward artillery isn't, you can just shoot crewship jets and it will still oneshot

    I found this video extremely helpful. So much stuff changed in this update, and what I and others I've spoken to were hoping for was an invitation to go through everything one at a time and just talk about it. This video helped me enjoy the game more. Thank you for making it!

      Yeah, a railjack revisit was kinda necessary. But I have played a few of the new railjack missions now and i'm not sure i like that it's more of the normal gameplay now. In that I dont reallly want to do a defense mission when I go do a railjack thing. It could also just be those specific missions I played which are only like that so yeah dunno.
      Also really curious about the Nyx builds, never really played her. and combined with helminth will prob give a great build.

      I'm glad it was a helpful primer! Doing one long take like this so shortly after launch, there is bound to be an oversight or two. But I think more than anything else, it helped to solidify in my own brain what I was feeling about the changes so far.
      Definitely changed my own mind on more than one thing mid recording, ha!

    Form Up is REALLY good for solo play, as it's a free heal for all your AI crew mates in case they are getting stomped while you are away from the ship

      I've been using it in public lobbies to force slow players back into the ship faster to maximize the efficiency of the new weapon/sentinel grind

    from my personal experience i use 2 gunner crewmates and one engineer, they are actually killing fighters fast enough that i dont even have to use forward guns most of the time and one engineer is more than enough for repairs and as a bonus he also defends the ship from boarders when nothing needs to be repaired. I think its the best option for solo. Pilots i agree on, they are useless. Defenders are not needed because engineer does it and kuva liches i would never use for that very reason alone

    @Frothy For the wreckage, you can use valence fusion to “combine” to increase the stats or “choose” the perks if you have two copies of an items.

    I'm not sure what's wrong with your crew but mine with 5 gunnery in their skills constantly shreds everything. Even the highest level missions are a joke. They are multitudes more effective than anyone else that gets in my guns. My RJ is built for survival (5k armor, 12k hull, 4.5k shield) and crit/crit damage (Not all that activate this or kill that to get more damage yadda yadda) just Hyperstrike. It's an absolute Armageddon in space. Everything melts, I never even drop below 80% hull. Not bashing, you do you, but idk how you get anything done with that paper tiger you're flying. Also I wish you youtubers and twitch boys would stop announcing to DE things that are great, always gets them nerfed, Lavos for example. Shit like this is gonna get that nerfed. DE dont like fun, or ease of play.

    I'd agree that the piloting AI is mostly useless
    except in Solo if you intend to fly out and enter the crewships for getting the officers (for their mods)
    but Gunner is probably worth it for Solo players given how big the difference between the speed in which the player can clear the sky of fighters if they don't yet have the combat skills necessary to clear all the fighters in one cast chain.
    yes... solo pilot trying to fight with no gunner assistance and no skill to clear fighters quickly?
    not exactly the most fun experience...
    The AI gunner make that process somewhat decent, heck almost fun... if I am not in a rush to farm ever faster and one shot all the fighters with the skills.
    That's probably worth more than 'useless'

    Why are you apologizing for giving your opinion about a flawed system? Do you really care about getting your d e exclusives that much that you don't want to open your mouth and express your opinion??
    Just like any product if you don't like it you have every right to express your opinion..
    Personally I think it's a really coward way for companies like Electronic Arts of America to Blacklist people just because they don't like somebody's opinion even though in most cases people are right about necessary changes... example if CD projekt listened to their developers when they said that cyberpunk was not ready.. just imagine if BioWare and EA listened to their developers and listened to their consumers about changes that needed to be made both of these titles wouldn't have had so much issues to begin with and they would have been fixed right away just like what happened to Fallout 76.. don't apologize for caring about something

    Good video, thanks. I gotta say they must have fixed the gunner AI because mine obviously have superhuman (aimbot) type aim. I can immediately tell if a human jumped in their seat when shots go from near 100% accuracy and carnage from across the map, down to like 30% accuracy at close range.

    This is a very good video, but what is it with people putting shotguns on the side weapons?
    I can understand if you're trying to stop people from just camping out on the side guns all day, but if you need more fire power or if your crew abandons you and you have 2 a.i. gunners (for whatever reason), they won't be able to do shit unless you decide to get in close (which isn't usually suggested)

    Even on the bottom of the screen it says contracts they could easily add a bounty system where you can do bounties with your crew members and you can help them to level up this would be a good way to introduce railjack bosses like maybe you have to kill certain railjack bosses in certain missions that are only exclusive to your crew member. From watching videos for the current updated railjack system it's pretty obvious that more people actually want de to make ship bosses where you basically have a boss that's on a ship and that boss is trying to destroy you and you have to destroy him first because honestly railjack is still f****** easy

    Most importantly for the ability on command where you can use these crew members during non railjack missions that should be the way you level up your railjack crew members. They could even extended further they could allow these companions because I'm calling them companions because that's what they are, digital extremes could introduce the ability where they have their own weapons maybe like for engineer and they could have additional equipment that you can level up that can allow them to repair the ship even faster. He knows similar to how like Excalibur has his exclusive sword they can give each crew member class their exclusive item that makes them more crucial than an average player on a railjack mission

    there is something to be said about follow up shots and ease of learning. alot of times you or new players even those who are 1st time captains will have even higher MR players on their ship with no idea what to do. velocity, range, and even the color of the projectile matters to an extent.
    Yah im sure u always play with the best of the best. but if a new captain wants a good weapon what is he looking for? MK-III?> no anything he can find. even more so this guide is to the Captains who were Captains pre and post patch. ur aduice in this is like 200 people. and your findings are correct given subjective. but why not tell people that are learning what is best?

    While I agree with the fact that all crew members should have 10 points at base, with 3 added by you, I disagree with it being a bad system. Looking at how you have it set up, I can see why you don't think it works well, but all crew needs is 10 points in the right places, and given the right rolls. I found it pretty easy to find a super solid crew in about 2-3 days looking at ticker, and that was with me being picky on what faction they were. For an excellent crew you want 1 engineer with 5's in repair and endurance, and 2 gunners with with 5's in gunnery and repair (repair only so you can switch them to aid in that roll if need be). The gunners are basically aim bots and do really good work, and the engineer doubles as a defender when the Railjack is boarded. I have had literally no issues with this set up so far and it took no time to realistically find them, since you can grab anybody who has a stat spread of 3-4 in the stats you want, and most have at least a single 5 stat.

    After looking at this, I understand your reasons behind piloting. But having 2 crew mates with gunnery role, along with good railjack weapons, you don’t even need to shoot anything, the AI does it for you and everything dies.

    Have you finished ship levelling to all tens yet. I have three tens and my last nine is almost done. But what with the last one with a lock command. There is no points on it either. So after the last nine becomes ten then what happens . Do I have to get another 512 or is it free for the last one.

    With those annoying corpus shields orbiting the crew ships I usually find an opening and then pop a missile at them, usually destroys all the security nodes so I can either board or blast.

    Honestly I kind of feel like for the crew members there was supposed to be a system where they level up because why would we have a point system for them that's just like a skill system that we have for Elder Scrolls Online for companions... these crew members are basically companions.
    I'm just guessing when command level 10 is out maybe you're able to level them up further to get even more points

    Hi i need help. My battle offensive mod are not working.. is it because of instrinsic level ?
    I got particle ram and shatter burst max rank but whenever i bring in the mission. It doesnt work at all i keep on pressing skill with full energy even i try with hildryn to convert energy into her shield usage. Still not working. Please help.

    From their workshop, for now we only get crew xp from the command intrinsic, but the goal is for them to have affinity like weapons and warframes: so they'll gain points from doing missions

    Surprisingly profound guide for a somewhat casual, non-competitive PvE game from you. Still going to run two Apocs though, cause both Liath and Glazio have painfully low fire rate for me. And corpus crewship shields are best killed by archwing btw.

      using archwing is absolutely a waste of time, just do 360s around the ship and shoot the drone from the back it's really not hard. I'm coming at this from a min/maxing mission completion time point of view and that's by far the best way to do it unless your away missions are already done and your extra players have the free time to futz with that
