What was the comment about "mixed race" supposed to mean? Dylan Wang is decidedly at the top end of male good looks (and yes, is not particularly "Chinese looking"). I am European (from the Med) and over here, on my side of the world, the criteria as to what is an attractive, beautiful face are far from rigid. Different skin tones, hair texture & colour of eyes are present in various combinations in the population ...... It is not rare for siblings to differ in colouring, one is blonde, hazel eyed, another brown eyed with dark hair .... The term "mixed race" is considered to have negative implications and regarded as disrespectful. Use of the term would definitely not be allowed during a TV programme.

Mixed race isn't considered derogatory amongst the Asian people I know. A lot of people of mixed race are actually considered very attractive. In fact, several popular Chinese actors are of mixed races.
