Yeah, the stock 72mm tires on the WL’s really hold them back and make them basically useless in all but the shortest grass. I found a set of aftermarket 87mm tires for my WL 124016 v2, which are smaller than the Rlaarlo’s, but make all the difference in the world in opening up terrain opportunities and increasing the overall performance. Was worried the 4300kv motor would have heat issues with them on, but it doesn’t even blink at the extra load.
Im a noob but planning on buying this for the black friday sale. Could you elaborate on which tires those are and where to find? I also heard about paddle tires? I bet this could be a bit of a 4 wheel sliding street buggy with the droop screws and some street tires?
I ran my cf Omni straight into a curb full speed today . Totally didn’t see it in a new area of course . It’s fine so far . Kind of astonished but I haven’t really checked it over really good . Sounds and ran fine afterwards . It’s not the greatest RC car . Doesn’t do what the big guys can but for its size its been a great backyard basher for a dbl sided ramp in the grass . It doesn’t like higher grass and can’t catch enough speed ot get good air off of grass mounds like a K6s or similar . Still , I like it . I decided not to get another small one and go with 1/10 size from here on out . The small ones sit there for the most part anymore . Prob give them to some kids in the neighborhood and let them destroy them and hopefully learn something like fixing broke stuff .
I like to bring my small hbx 16889 out with me for kids to play with. There's usually one or two kids watching me and when they do I give them a car.. I love the AMD 12 though. It's crazy fast and has held up really well and when it crashes it just bounces around from that spare tire in the back

@@insanebmxthomas Try Googling “YSIDO 12mm hex preglued wheels and tires for Wltoys”. They are also sold under other brand names.
If you run it on 3S be aware of tires ripping tire glue loose, it’s a torque monster. This buggy is a blast to drive. Cool vid btw! 👍🏻
Thanks man. It's the best 12th scale car yet.
Watch your steering column screws.. the two that threaded through the bottom of the chassis.. mine came loose and one disappeared.. ADD THREAD LOCK

I really wanted that car but I've been holding off. Recently I've gotten into RC planes so the cars are taking a back seat
