    Thank you, red denim is difficult to find and all I've been able to find is denim twill.
    I thought they were just completely different. Informative and helpful.

      Technically, only indigo dyed cotton should be used for denim. so what we call black denim is a denim twill. The problem is also that different types and qualities of cotton can be used in fabrics and it is difficult to find any answers.
      Leather is even more confusing, since "Genuine Leather" is the second layer when the hide is split. it is then sanded and a grain pattern embossed by heated rollers. Since most of the strength is in the outer layer, it is vastly inferior. It is no stronger than PVC, but at least it breathes. Bonded leather is simply all the rubbish ground up and mixed with PVC and glue, then formed into sheets. It is complete rubbish, weak, does not breathe and depending on the glue often highly flammable.

    What’s the difference between bull denim and natural denim?
    Is one better quality than the other?

    • @onlinefabricstore
      @onlinefabricstore  День тому

      Neither is inherently "better", it depends on the intended use. Bull Denim is smoother, fully dyed, and better suited for high-durability applications. Natural Denim is usually not dyed fully and has a more natural look.

    Good day. I did not understand the technical difference between twill and denim. Denim is twill turned 180 degrees?

      @Shawn Hawkins The one that always made me laugh was the expensive left hand twill denim jeans. In this case, the denim was high quality, but it had nothing to do with which way around the loom was set up.

    😁Very nice information. I have a better understanding as a whole, but I'm always looking for more refined detailed information. Although this was enough to make a purchase, I'll learn more as I go.. Thank you

    Does the twill fabric loose it's colour after washing?
    And is it suitable to but pants made up of twill weave?

      Twill is not going to loose its color, and it is the perfect material for pants!

    Denim seems like a denser twill weave. How about Gabardine or cotton drill?

    Well explained👍🏼 I have a question.
    It says on internet that chino pants are more breathable than denim(jeans), but when I test to breathe with my mouth trough the fabric I find it easier to breathe through jeans. I can barely breathe through the chino. So why does it say everywhere on internet that chinos are more breathable and better for warmer weather? Is it because the fabric is thinner than denim fabric? Really thankfull for some clarification of this.

      I would say that what they are saying is right. There are more factors to "breathability" than physically being able to breath through it. For example, Chino pants will also dry out faster than denim or like you noted, they are a thinner material, and real denim is 100% cotton, which makes super strong so it's great for jeans and coveralls, but also makes it a little warmer than other materials. I hope this helps answer your question. If you give me more context to your project I may be able to help more.

      @@onlinefabricstore okay thank you. So chinos can keep me cooler in summer even if I can breathe easier through denim than chinos?

    • @onlinefabricstore
      @onlinefabricstore  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, I would say so. But if you want my personal opinion, Linen is the absolute best summer apparel fabric.

    Twill weaves are cotton and polyester in a diagonal arrangement.
    Denim is a twill fabric

    • @onlinefabricstore
      @onlinefabricstore  3 роки тому

      It has a little bit of stretch to it but not very much. It is similar in stretch to denim jeans.
