I have your figure drawing textbook which I find really helpful to reference. And then being able to watch a video of the process outlined in your book is even more helpful. Thank you so much for recording this.

20 years ago, full process construction video DVDs from professionals like Scott Robertson, Ian McCaig, Neville Paige, David Finch... were few, far between and cost $40+. The only alternative was try to decipher the images in books or pay $150k+ for art school. Enjoy the fast track young people 😁

Thank you for sharing your videos for free. I've created a useful "cheat sheet" based on your content, focusing on drawing heads from various angles. It's greatly improved my understanding of proportions and perspective. When sketching portraits, I often use it during the block-in stage to quickly spot any issues.
I recommend to fellow artists to engage with these videos and recreate the drawings, stressing the importance of thoroughly analyzing reference images rather than simply copying what Michael demonstrates. If you have access to a digital tablet, drawing through the images can also be beneficial. Later on, experiment with drawing from different references. If you struggle to identify landmarks, you can always refer back to your cheat sheet. Though each head may appear unique, the fundamentals remain consistent.

Thanks for sharing this one! nothing makes a drawing as dynamic as dramatic camera angles and crazy perspective

Thank you so much for the videos, Mr. Hampton! Your teachings have been of significant help in my journey to learning art.
If I may ask, will you ever do a video some day on how to move from the construction sketch to a clean line pass for illustration purposes, or just making a "clean" presentation? I've been having a lot of trouble with it because it feels stiff and less fun than construction. I wonder if you've ever had such similar problem and how people can tackle it.

Love your content mr Hampton. Do you have any video that explain the gesture drawing when the figure is in front view?
