RIP Irish...talent and beauty...your voice will be missed...prayers to your family and remaining 702 members for strength and to continue keeping the 702 group memory going....you will be missed 🙏
This generation will never understand how DOPE the 90's were. ✌🏾😎
i do and i was born in 2001 lol old music is all i listen to. i know more about most music and more artists from that era that people dont know about than people older than me and certainly my age.
Trust me we know, r & b is still loved up to this day.
@@sorisacaIt’s not just the music. You had to be there to know the difference
@@oncode7735 that ain't what we are saying but today we hear stories and see on videos how it was. The point is we do know it was better times and we wish we were there. Today people don't even socialize outside together anymore. And when we do it always ends up with people just being awful to each other.
I lived through the whole decade, but jeez, it's not a competition!
R.I.P Irish so beautiful and young 😔 🙏🏾
they are all so freakin pretty
Crystol Bracey I know, right? lol
One of there songs is on a commercial I heard it twice yesterday and I was so happy 😁
Crystol Bracey sing it two ur man
Crystol Bracey unsung brought me here. Love their music
I knowwwwwwwwwww
Everyone in the UK loved this song so much because the beat is such a UKGarage beat 😭😭, it was crazy that a American R&B group jumped on a track sounding like this
This was the sound most groups and soloist were doing in the early 2000s here.
@@DominiqueJHealthWealthTravel nah this particular sound on this track is more different to the other early 2000 R&B groups... well for us in the UK because in the 90’s UK garage was big and this beat is VERY close to UK garage sound than it is to R&B
@@savageg7155 you should check this uk/garage remix of the song. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 ua-cam.com/video/M-hbrplrKMw/v-deo.html
Trust me, garage vibe defo
I did not know this...thanks
Love how all 3 of these ladies got equal camera time in the video as any group should. Kudos to the director of the video. 👏
Facts!
Underrated girl group whom in my opinion never really has been recognized for their contributions to rnb for the short time they were around! So I personally salute you 702! THANK YOU❤
blkcoverboy yes because the Star album was SO SLEPT on!
blkcoverboy I still bump tunes from all 3 albums
They're generic
They were seriously underrated as a girl group
✔✔💫
RIP Irish. This track is a classic from this trippy beat era of 1999. Throwback to Aaliyah (2nd album), TLC (Fanmail), Destinys child (Writings on the wall), Missy (Supa dupa fly), Total (2nd album), Shola Ama (First album). I think a lot of this was Missy and Darkchild beats.
RIP my beautiful Barbie! This one hit hard!!!
Arguably one of my favorite girl groups. Super slept on and honestly each album was better than the last-Star was FIRE!
Big facts!! I wore this album out...i didnt get Star till a few years after it came out. Motown dropped the ball cuz that album is phenomenal! But the 2nd album is still my favorite. Not sure why they often get overlooked when they talk about the great girl groups of the 90s. TLC, SWV and 702 were my faves!
@@alisonjenaefitjourneywhich songs do you recommend
Yes! They we’re underrated. It’s a shame they didn’t have more success.
@@sherronpowell1020 Irish has passed
@@roselynholloway7863There were so many good songs.
TRIO OF FLAVORS, Chocolate, Caramel, Honey
Rest in peace, beautiful Irish 😢🙏🙏💔💔😢😢
This was a huge hit in the UK but was slept on in the US - and should’ve been a bigger hit all around
RIP.RIH. Irish Grinstead. You are now reunited with your twin Orish Grinstead. Angeles singing in God's heavenly choir. I didn't get to meet you, or any member of the group but I enjoyed listening to you songs. My condolences goes out to your family, close friends and all who loved you. 😔
The old songs are like hidden jewels ..
Rip Irish, 702 forever🎉🎉
Just heard the passing of one of the members 😢😢 RIP 🕊🕊🕊 this was one of my favourites songs
RIP Irish. I am so saddened by your passing. 702 my favourite group of all time. RIP darling.
I've been trying to find this song for a year but couldn't remember the lyrics to save my life and then it finally came on the radio at work and I tried my hardest to hear some of the lyrics so I could UA-cam it later 😂😣
What station was playing this song??????lol
@@bryangonsalves4282 I don't quite remember now, either KISS FM or Radio 1 Extra lol
HAH! The struggle --- LOL 😂
BIG UP my London crew!!!
😂
Rest Easy Irish we miss you Queen 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This song should've been a much bigger hit. I was intstantly drawn to it when I first got the album. Irish looks so bomb in this video. She always had the look!
Fly high, Irish. You're reunited with Orish.❤😢
Gotta say I owe a lot to 702, Total, and SWV. Fell in and out of love to their music and saw me through the best and worst.
Michelle Howard and amen b4 the athotkalypse
Michelle Howard Ditto!
Michelle Howard 💖
It's the reason for your heartache, love songs are bullshit, just listen to rap and suppress that felling 🤣🤣🤣
This song and video has Missy written all over it.
This video also has Hype Williams all over it...He used to direct a lot of videos back in those days
Ironically, neither have anything to do with this song/video lol
Indigenous Alien lol
Left Eye/ Blaque vibes as well. Idk if there was a futuristic trend going but when left eye brought Blaque out she was already on that. That no scrubs video theme was all Left Eye. Missy been up as well. In the early 90s. No doubt 702 been out but maybe they was trying to catch the wave w/ this one. I’m just saying
Yep sound like her song tripping!
When female R&B groups were sexy, clothed, and classy. 702 will forever be one of my favorite groups. They were underrated as artists but highly rated to me. The 90’s was such a wonderful time. Music was everything back then❤️
The visuals are so stunning!!
And timeless

Likewise 😀

These beautiful Black Queens were ahead of their time 💕💕💕 their style and vocals are so timeless and still relevant today 💕💕💕
I love 702 so much. They’re my favorite group
702 were amazing even now their music still touches me
R.I.P Orish
Damn 13yrs ago huh now its RIP Irish.
@Mechi073182 702 were 3 sisters to start with, 1 died, so they brought in the dark skin girl. I was clearly misinformed on the name of the 1st sister
So Timeless...Rest in Peace Irish This Hurts
Love that whole futuristic vibe of the late 90's so much
y2k
Rest In Peace Irish 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
RIP Irish! Love you forever ❤
Rest in peace, Irish 🙏🏽❤️💔
When autotune wasnt really need to fix their voice but used as a style to give the song a futuristic sound smh miss these days
Swizzy Lifestyle it sounds awesome😩❤️❤️
Swizzy Lifestyle, this song definitely has autotune/synthesizer in it but I understand what you mean. Most of the vocals are not enhanced.
Auto Tune done right .. 👍👆☝️👌
@@leeluv96 thats what they're saying. Its not used to mask a terrible singer but to make it futuristic.
Facts
Had to play my favorite 702 song after hearing the sad news.
R.I.P Irish 💔 😢
Rest in Peace Irish
R.i.p to the twin sisters.. this will always be my favourite song of group. 😔❤
R.I.P Irish I'm so heartbroken. You guys together made my teen years musically. I was so obsessed with you guys💔💔💔💔💔😭😭😭😭😭
Damn I miss them. I love their music. And can we just talk about how FREAKIN gorgeous they all are? And those voices goodness!
2:35 - 2:48 that sound effects and transition 🔥🔥🔥
I love love how their lead singer is dark skin 💕
#BlackisBeautiful #TeamDarskin
On my momma...I been saying that!!!
yaaaaas
+Marcel And the other 2 are sisters (plus the 4th sister, Orish, also Irish's twin) who has since passed. RIP&H.
I'd pick dark skin gyal over any other type of skin & i'm Italian/persian
Irish giving Aaliyah vibes from the Are You That Somebody MV. Love it. RIP sweet Irish ❤
RIP Sweet Angel! 🕊️
Rest In Paradise Irish❤🙏🏿
Man u gotta love the 90s. Throw back chills
Rip Irish grinstead❤ 😔 🙏🏾

r.i.p irish god bless you and your family.♥️
Not only are they beautiful they sang beautifully too 💕
I use to play this song out!!! Reminds me of high school. Always loved 702.
TTSantiago821 you're beautiful and yes def reminds me of school
This song is so underrated.
how can anybody not like this .big tune still playing in 2016
agree
Lee Laws beacuse they are stupid and don't know good music their mids a polluted by the nonsense they call music nowadays
Still pumping it in my car on my original cd!
easy. they're called haters. no matter how hard you work on your music. they're going to hate you for whatever reason. feel me hahaha
RIP Irish, you will be forever missed 😢
This is one of my fav songs off the 702 album
Still love this song like it was summer 99'!!!
I remember that summer like yesterday! One of the best!🔥🔥🔥
RIP IRISH…PRAYERS FOR MISHA & MELA..THIS MY 1ST FAV 702 SONG
Classic 702 right here! They were definitely one of the best R'n'B groups of the 90s / 00s
Being from the UK this is played in a Garage playlist
Song before it's time
R.I.P Irish, get to be with your twin Orish ❤
LOVE THE BEAT! Jesus the wonderful 90´s!
Irish so damn fine with that baby blue on looking just like Aaliyah
She always was fine to me!!!
Kiss Galore t
The real Gerrod
She my favorite to yo
Man for real, she was my fav too
The real Gerrod actually envouge
I always loved this song. When I first heard it I thought it was a Tracie Spencer cut because it sounds so similar to her song It's All About You(Not About Me)that came out shortly before this was released. Both songs had that signature Karlin and Soulshock groove.
My heart hurts because of the passing of Irish. She was such a beautiful soul. She will reunite with her twin Orish. Rest well sweetheart. Your fans will keep your memory alive and prayers to the rest of the 702 girls. This one is tough.
What a time in music!! RIP irish 🕊🙏
Favorite Girl Group. I don't think they were underrated at all. They are definitely NOT one of the forgotten girl groups of the 90s/00s. Despite them not being properly developed and invested in BTS; Their music, charismatic performances and beauty solidified their place in iconic girl band history. 🔥🔥🔥 R.i.P Irish
I'm here after watching Encore. Those Cherish twins need to recognize
Rest in peace Irish you will be missed😞
702 had some many 🔥 songs back in the day! I still play this album out lol
That blue outfit seems like something aaliyah and left eye would wear
Right
I think Aaliyah was inspired by that outfit because in her Resolution video, there’s a scene where she’s sitting in this moving chair with a very similar outfit.
Back then there wasn't a big deal on inspiration and look similarities
Prince also had one
People look at Vogue from that time period. It was the style at the time
This is my favorite song from 702 love them all but this one hits different. R.I.P IRISH 😢😢😢
This video was definitely TLC influence. I loved how the 90s and 2000s had their own Renaissance of black girl groups. It was beautiful. I also loved this video, TLC + Blaque and 702 tapped into that Y2K futuristic aesthetic we should try to do this again.
I miss 702
Rest well Irish Grinstead 😢😢
Rest in eternal peace Irish. This song grew on me in the 90's because of my first lovelol. She loved playing this song for me. Just saw that Irish passed and this song came right to my mind. Damn I really miss the good R&B days
This could be dropped on the radio right now.
They had more hits than I thought. Damn 702 was doing they thing back in the day.
R.I.p Irish❤
RIP Irish ❤
The late 90s/early 2000s were all about jerky dance moves, metallic clothes and robotic voices
They were serving looks ❤️🔥 702 will forever be those girls!!
Love 702. They were dope.
702 had the runnings back in the day. Their tracks were getting remixed for every other genre. This one got smashed for UKG!!
R.I.P. to my homegirl :(
This was my favorite song on the album. The whole album was fire
Which other songs did you like
Gotta love the Hype William videos from the 90s lol. This song kinda sounds like Blaque - 808. Miss these days man, when Life felt like you were in a whole another Dimension like Heaven on Earth and when Music Videos had LIFE and COLOR and SOUL to them. Now we live in the Dark Age. They don't make songs or videos like this anymore. When I watch this video it takes me to another World and makes me think of the Summer Time back then when the Blue Dusk Sky would come out before Night and back when the Streets were full of LIFE and PEOPLE and everyone would be outside. Real Music was everywhere back then. Good times....
Yassss
***** Billie Woodruff directed this one.
SoulKidVids Promo Awwww.... Nostalgia kickin in 😢 At least we got memories!!

Such an underrated group I still love them to this day 2021
RIP IRISH U WILL BE MISSED SWEETHEART!!!!
CLASSIC.
Everything about this is beautiful, the men, the ladies, outfits and the tune 😍🥰
Memories! Was 14 in the summer of 1999 watching Cita’s World on BET
Rest well Irish 🫶🏾
Rest in peace to Irish grinstead 😢
TVOne should do a special on them. This group had MUCH potential!
This album was everything in my early 20’s.
I love the beat of this song and how they doing the movements along with it! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Rest in peace, Iris
Irish was definitely the face. She might not have been the voice but I always think of her face when I hear 702.
She was/still is gorgeous ☺😁
She definitely stands out! Especially during their second album, their look matured and the way they were styled was perfect
Irish can get it 🥵
DEFINITELY
She really should've modeled after the groups end.
I had totally forgotten about this song. Wow 😊
😢😢 love you Irish ✨ my childhood ❤❤
I was sad this song didn’t chart as well but I really liked it.
