He’s not the protagonist, he’s the villain. The protagonist is the old man that got hit, too. But Hiro (this dude) feels like the main character on purpose.
Ngl I would preferred if he was the main character cuz wouldn't that make more sense since we literally this entire show is about him
@@Theonefrom2020 The entire show isn’t about him. If it was, he’d be the protagonist, even if he is a serial killer (think Dexter). The old man gets as much screen time as Hiro does, he’s just not shown in this video because CJ was focusing on the antagonist. Since the old man isn’t familiar with technology, he needs mini-training arcs to figure out his powers, sometimes only realizing he can do something because Hiro did it, like flying.

@@Theonefrom2020 Well, maybe this’ll help you as an introduction to writing, but both Hiro & Inuyashiki are Main Characters as the plot revolves around both of their actions. Inuyashiki is the protagonist because he has the proper arc & Hiro is the antagonist because his actions impede the ones Inuyashiki is trying to accomplish.
When you say MC, I’m assuming you mean protagonist, but these are academic terms that people throw around w/o fully understanding them. If you wanted to view the story as Hiro setting out to destroy all life & Inuyashiki getting in the way of that, you just switch what you call each one w/o changing the story. It’s not too difficult to do because of the fact that they’re both MCs, start in the same place & end in the same place.
The only reason Inuyashiki is the protag, & not Hiro, is that was the pov of the author. These terms don’t actually represent good guy or bad guy, except in laymen’s terms. They represent drivers of the plot & centers of the plot.

Every human has the capacity to kill for the sake of killing. Most of us just don't do it that much. Hiro just let every intrusive thought win and wanted to test how far he could go with his cyborg powers.
The thing that makes serial killer type villains like Hiro, Johan, Kira Yoshikage etc. so *vile* compared to world ending threats like, as you mentioned, Kid Buu who have WAY higher body counts is how much more personal and real the sh!t they do is.
Seeing a character blow up a planet and everyone on it doesn't hit very hard because its one and done usually. But seeing Hiro take his time with his first kills is *extremely* disturbing because the story lets you *sit* with it. Even worse when you remember that there ARE people like Hiro out there in the world. Seemingly completely normal and average, but constantly daydream about doing some seriously sick stuff.
I sat next to a kid who could potentially be a serial killer. In sophomore year of HS, he drowned a BABY bird in the bathroom. It was his GRANDMA’S bird too. This is real stuff.

I remember watching this series when it was releasing every week, and let me tell you you guys shoulda seen the communities reaction to the episode where Hiro killed that first family. I can speak for everyone when I say we was freakin' the hell out.
What made it wild was CJ put some drama on it, but in the show it was so casually done there was no build up or emphasis it just casually happened. Shit was wild. Yeah though this show's insanely good. We saw the villain in this video, but the MC is actually a saint.

i don't think he did it all for fun as CJ stated, and as it can be seen from what happend he had a reason for rlly everything but the families, crow, and maybe one other situation, but everything else was done with a reason like his mom doin "slip and slide" he went to kill to doxxers and news channel crew, his gf and granny were unloaded on but ofc survived cuz his healing, but he still spun back, and city was cuz no matter what he def wasnt gonna be able to live in peace with them. and he did try to change his ways before the kill count got too high for redemption, but each time ig he wasnt fast enough in doing so (cuz he was healing ppl at some point, because the gf convinced him to use his powers for good before swat came and fcked that up)
I'd do that if I had power like that. I'd try my best to hide my identity though

Even though we never get an explanation to *why* Hiro starts killing people outside of *"he wants to"* , if I had to take a guess it because he's *lashing out*
His parents are split up with his mom being miserable and his dad having a whole other family, seemingly completely content with just moving on ,so it makes sense that, given he's obviously got psychopathic tendencies on top of that, he felt genuine resentment for these families having a life he didn't.
Hell, same with the two kids. His best friend literally just cut all ties with him eariler that day and then he sees these 2 kids, who are obviously friends and, again, he lashes out.
That's just *my* interpretation tho
I think it's because it makes him feel 'human', Inuyashiki feels alive when saving people cuz he thinks it's 'human' nature to do that. Both of em got some kind of dysphoria with the new body like am I still me type of stuff. On the other hand, Hiro was also craving to rid of the dysphoria and he remembered he got some kind of tingling when seeing a man jumped in front of a train, and he tried to replicate the feeling by killing. Hence why Hiro kills.
This series really shows the difference between being kind and just being harmless.
Inuyashiki , the protagonist, chose to do good and tried to not hurt anyone or abuse his power even though he very much could.
Whereas Hiro is just a straight up psychopath who is choosing to live out every intrusive thought he's ever had. Showing that he was always a budding serial killer deep down who was just harmless because he didn't actually have the *power* to act on his fantasies

The reason this guy is more SHOWN to be a menace is when buu destroys the population, it’s all in a flash, and you don’t get to see anyone cry..well this mf, you get to see people beg for their lives as he shoots them

I feel like that's also the difference between black air force and what the new segment is. Black air force is just disrespectful and mass murder, serial killers are prime, intimately in the scene, and absolutely unpredictable. And I'm more interested in this series because I watch a lot of mysteries and boy howdy, I wonder what he'll pop up

to me this feels just way more insane than other characters that also destroyed cities and probably mass murdered even more people but this anime made it feel the most realistic yet. just seeing each personal kill/dead body had so much more impact on me than like sukuna or sum idk. might just be me.
