After watching a few other videos about this game, I am even more impressed with this video. It's short, to the point, and gave me just as much information as a 30-minute video.
I think i was like 11 yo when first playing settlers i think heritage of kings. This really nostalgic to me😅 but yea, im pretty fan of settlers back then. This is quite nice.
The one thing I’d like for them to expand on is more variety on Units and multiple units can hit one enemy. Maybe even expand the variety of enemies and also add magic
Manor Lords will probably be just that the way the hype has been and recent early access footage is all positive. Might even surpass The Settlers series greatest games which seem to be games 2-4 but who knows.
Refunded the game. Sure it has the economy aspect like the settlers, but I really miss the AI opponents like there was in settlers 3 and 4, my favorite games of all time.
I totally agree. The building construction is great, the characters and movement in each building is nicely done. It feels very alive. However, the combat system is pathetic, completely random in terms of units fighting the enemy. It was far better in The Settlers - but that's my opinion. There is also a problem with AI opponents, 0 interaction, only trading which many times has a bug and it is not possible to 100% supply all resources to continue. Plus the AI city is empty, just a few buildings and that's it.
well that's Early Acces for ya. i dont think they even have an AI system yet. other then every couple min a bandit/thief is ordered to steal/attack. Hope the game will be great once it leaves Early Access but yeah its not close to a finished product yet.
Well id say it has an easy potencial to kick Old Settlers ass. but i think it mainly needs work on the NPC's. as other cities basically dont do anything but move there recourses around and other bad guys do nothing But attack/steal from you ignoring all other towns/factions or not even that and just hang around there camp/spawn. its fun for a day or so but after that you really see that its a real Early Access and it needs alot more work before id consider calling it a Settlers Killer. But yes it has Alot of Potencial to be way better then even the old Settlers.
Unfortunately I don't think there is a planned console release yet. They want to dedicate their entire resources to bring the game out of early access on PC first.

For me this is too boring. I love the artstyle and economy, but without an actual base building enemy to battle, this will never be settlers. The only similar thing is the art style and the basic idea behind economy.
This is still not as good as settlers 4. They need to tweak the military so you can command them properly and not just give them a waypoint. there are no ranged units either which is a lt down.
There are so many things I hate about this game. First, the grid system is freaking terrible and looks awful. Secondly, the path system also looks so freaking bad, they need to drop that and do organic paths like most modern builders now days. Third, the settlers very clearly look like agents, even queuing up like agents, and its immersion breaking as hell. Hide your algorithm so it's not so obvious, holy hell thats the very minimum thing you can do....
But it's just yet another copy game, as someone who played settlers as it was created and released, why would I ever play PoP, when all the features is something I got tired off in settlers 30? years ago.
It's not finished thats true, it just released in early access like I mentioned. I still think it already *is* better than the newer Settler games from Ubisoft

Settlers killer? Don't be ridiculous. You can't kill whats already dead.
Settlers killed themselves settlers 7 is legit made by people who only played spore rts phase and made a game lmao
yup, killed by ubisoft
If I wasn't completely engrossed in Against the Storm, I would be all over this one. Wishlisted for sure! And you get a shiny new sub!
This game seems really awesome! Just my cup of tea.
And i got to know about it from your channel first before steam could recommend it to me haha
This is a really fun game. I just dropped like 8 hours into it…. On one island
So relatable!
Indie games are great this year
For real
great year for indie games Yes
I think i was like 11 yo when first playing settlers i think heritage of kings. This really nostalgic to me😅 but yea, im pretty fan of settlers back then. This is quite nice.
This looks like a crossover of Settlers III and Northgard. So, definitely a reason to be excited!
I instantly recognized your voice from the Godherja video series. Keep up the good work brother!
The one thing I’d like for them to expand on is more variety on Units and multiple units can hit one enemy. Maybe even expand the variety of enemies and also add magic
good game i like passionate devs ❤ keep up i love the settlers series i started from The Settlers: Heritage of Kings 😅 and it was amazing ❤😊
The Settlers 3 is my favourite, but I`m loving playing Pioneers...It will definitely improve a lot until the end of early access.
this game is really great, especially for it’s price! Good video too
Medieval Flexsim... just brilliant!
I would buy but damn if the text size is too small for PC/Couch play.
You can adjust the UI scale

Does this game support wide screen?
good keep up 🆙😁👍
The only thing it keeps me away from playing is the fact that it doesn't have multiplayer

On big disadvantage (for me): I need a better graphics card, otherwise I can't get the game to work!
comparing it to cities skyline, how much gameplay do you get?
Well id say it has an easy potencial to kick Old Settlers ass. but i think it mainly needs work on the NPC's. as other cities basically dont do anything but move there recourses around and other bad guys do nothing But attack/steal from you ignoring all other towns/factions or not even that and just hang around there camp/spawn.

When is it coming to console ?
Unfortunately I don't think there is a planned console release yet. They want to dedicate their entire resources to bring the game out of early access on PC first.
I'm wondering if it has enough content to play a few hundred hours (at least)
I really like the game, but I dont think you'll get a few hundred hours out of it right now.
4 minutes in
"But.." - Action Music
I swear to god I thought it was a sponsor video for a solid 5 seconds.

Gets repetitive very quickly... but its early access. So lets see. A lot of things missing for my taste
For me this is too boring. I love the artstyle and economy, but without an actual base building enemy to battle, this will never be settlers. The only similar thing is the art style and the basic idea behind economy.
no fishing in the game?
no but its on the roadmap I believe
okay, thanks 🙂@@singleplayersquad1

Looks amazing
Feels a lot like The Settlers 2 10th anniversary, I prefer tha art style of that game though
This is still not as good as settlers 4. They need to tweak the military so you can command them properly and not just give them a waypoint. there are no ranged units either which is a lt down.
I actually kinda like the chill and relax nature of it. Since the game doesn't punish you for not being able to micro manage your military.
Thanks for the video. Like from me.
I bought it but only to support them. I don't plan to play it for a long time.

looks good
The art style is unapproachable. Hope people that can tolerate it enjoy though👍
none of these games even come close to Black and White 2 with mods
It doesn’t have a story nearly as good as heritage of kings
👍🏼👍🏼
The game has expanded the core gameplay too much. Way too big a tech tree, too many resources. I find it tiresome to finish even the first map.
But it's just yet another copy game, as someone who played settlers as it was created and released, why would I ever play PoP, when all the features is something I got tired off in settlers 30? years ago.
i loved when i got slam-dunked by npcs in the settlers 4 - it was a slap in a face that I'm supposed to plan and build, not creep on woodworkers
Maybe interesting to know for some: the lead designer of this game is the original creator of The Settlers.
The Settlers killed themself
Is just an okay game right now and not even finished.
It's not finished thats true, it just released in early access like I mentioned. I still think it already *is* better than the newer Settler games from Ubisoft
@@singleplayersquad1 I'd say its about on par since the enemies are just not fun, but hopefully it gets meaningful updates for that weakness.
Better than original settlers? Not a chance.
Wishful thinking.
Nothing here shows me it's better than against the storm
I played it, its kinda lame
