+jonathan while it is easy to play, any good band can always take it to another level, expressing the music with emotion to provide feelings to the audience. For example, my band went to nationals a few weeks ago, and we played a 2 piece (On the scale of difficulty). However, using expression, we made it sound much more difficult and have emotion, allowing for a great score from our evaluators.

As a recent oboe convert (our band needed one, so I've been playing for a good three months now) I can say this song is too easy. It's a beautiful piece, and is fun, but is too easy. Such a gorgeous song tho

We played this for district band this year, and we first practiced it maybe 3 hours before our concert, and our conductor had threatened to cut it. Let me just say, the band would have been very upset. Every section ended up getting to do our own little dance for it during our rests. Also worth mentioning that this was a trumpet audition song and our section came up with the dancing. Too much fun!

I played Tenor Drums on this. I basically played the same thing on just a singular drum the entire song (with measure rests every once and a while). So I decided to re-write the Tenor Drum part (for the 4 Headed Tenor Drums) and made it more challenging and fun.
