A quick update: Two weeks ago I was able to return to work at a new company with some incredible people. We WILL survive this. I truly have the best friends a man could ever wish for. I am truly blessed.

Seems like an informal eviction. I dont believe the landlord seriously thinks someone will pay 2000 for that.

They paid their rent even through the pandemic. The Landlord is quite delusional to think anyone who could afford to pay $2000 in rent, would choose that run down dwelling.
The view of the countryside is beautiful but the greed is ugly........I certainly hope the couple find much better accommodations.

No, the landlord isn't delusional. As Tommy said, they want them out and can't legally kick them out, so they're resorting to raising the rent to an exorbitant amount. Once everyone is gone, they'll build luxury apartments on the property, or something like that, which is what they wanted all along.

I’ve been screaming about this for 2 years, when I kept seeing everyone around me working 2 jobs and they still couldn’t afford rent!
Or preventative OR emergent health care!
    Or medications!
Or good food for their kids, like fresh fruits and vegetables!
Both parents worked more than one job; their children were raised by strangers at daycares; they felt hopeless and like they’ve failed, just scraping by for food, rent and utilities, IF THEY COULD EVEN *FIND* A PLACE THEY *QUALIFIED* FOR-and of course, each place requires a separate $50 application fee!
In the 1950s, one parent could support the family on ONE FULL TIME JOB, eventually affording a house of their own! The family had a car, nice clothes, and took vacations to gramma’s house every summer. If the kids wanted to go to the movies, they babysat, mowed lawns, picked berries, and washed windows!
When I was a kid in the 60s, my after school & weekend wages for a GOOD week could be $30!
I could go the the movies and buy soda and popcorn for my little brother and me, for a total of $6 FOR BOTH OF US! If a family wants to go to the movies *today*, it’s literally $100 for a family of 4 😳.
It’s heartbreaking, honestly……to have a strong work ethic, and not be able to support yourself or your family.
This story states MORE THAN 50% OF RESIDENTS IN CLARK COUNTY PAY more than 30% of their income in rent. With that statement alone, you can kiss the middle class goodbye. Exorbitant rents leave ZERO money to save to buy a home. The rich get richer and everyone else is a slave to their need to have $10 million homes, because $5 million homes, well it’s just so last year-they have an Instagram image to maintain ya know!
Clark County is gonna start looking like Santa Rosa CALIFORNIA and Portland OREGON VERY SOON. CLOCK IT!
The lady from the homeless organization states people can’t work just one job- and the CONCLUSION is that many people are going to be living in situation they don’t want to-including being homeless. How does that count as an allowable solution? How is that OK? Good tenants for 3 years, and a 150% increase. How is that ok?

That is all true but only part of the picture. It's even worse than that, sadly. We have ALL been hoodwinked with their black magic potions and tricks for years and years......the demonics are raking in trillions as they kill people and make people suffer and conduct their power and resource grab. Much of the damage has already been done. Most of us only see it in hindsight. I can tell you this: God's wrath is about to come down on them like the world has never seen! This is a fact that people can choose to not believe at their own peril. Or they can choose God and His divine promises for His people.

According to our "leaders" each person should be working 4 jobs - 4 for mom and 4 for dad. Leave the children home alone - they'll manage to take care of themselves. Then they could afford to pay the ridiculously high rent (properties bought by Corporations/Hedge Funds/Wall Street and Politicians) - and put some food on the table. They need to get rid of that car which uses too much gasoline - which is now unaffordable. They need to get around on bikes and scooters - and, in some case, they could hitch-hike!!!!! Their Plan is Working!!!!

Looked what happened the last time the ‘govt’ got involved in private business. They forced landlords to house people for free for 2 years while the squatters could’ve paid and didn’t. Then they didn’t even have to pay back rent. The tax payers did and it wasn’t even full amounts. Landlords are sick of taking losses for their business. Time for the consequences of landlords housing people for free all while paying taxes, insurance, maintenance and mortgages, losing their savings and retirement and in a lot of cases their own homes while renters lived it up on employment and Stimmis and child credits. Oh well. Now it’s your turn.

But if Democrats were smart they would introduce legislation to control the rent increases & the home prices. They could also try to stimulate the building of more housing (which would help control housing prices overall). Most Americans could relate to this and appreciate the effort. It would also distinguish Republicans from Democrats in terms of the policies that would benefit Americans. It wouldn't look very good for Republicans to fight against that kind of bread & butter issue. It would be a free infomercial for Democrats. They are the ones who are allowing all kinds of taxes, insurance rates, gasoline prices, housing prices, to skyrocketing prices, food, medicine, services in general.. They are the ones inciting for people not to work. Blame the government. Imagine a micro-landlord, who is renting one of her bedrooms to help her alleviate the mortgage fees, she doesn't even have one fully paid house to start with, and yet tenants are blaming landlords? Blame the government. Property taxes went up, construction material went up, hiring someone for repairs around the house are charging double of what they used to charge, home insurance prices went up, electricity went almost 200% up in my case. You could get a nice 2 bdr apartment for $700.
When I got divorced in 2015, I had to move out from the marital home because I made almost 3x my spouse’s salary…. and was thrown into rental housing once again…..
$1300 was now the going rate for a 2 bdr apartment. Almost doubled in 10 years, while wages stayed stagnant.
I left that job for 80k back in 2009- TODAY it’s 2022, and THAT JOB STILL STARTS AT 80k.
The large home I previously rented was $2200 in 2015 and post pandemic, it’s $3200.
My 2 bdr apartment went from $1500 pre pandemic to $2200 post. And I’m retired. All I want is a place for my dog to run, and at 61, I have accepted I will never have that…. After working for over 35 years, working my way up thru education and hard work, sometimes working 2/3 jobs and raising kids-spent many years with literally zero days off! 😵‍💫

What is going to happen when landlords raise rents to $100,000 a month and no one can afford it and 99% of the people in this country are homeless. Congress sure won’t care. They will be holding congressional hearings calling Trump the bogeyman for the thousandth time.

@@jackwilson8051 TRUMP is all about killing care. He doesn't care about you or me - he wants us all DEAD and people need to get that in their HEAD. AND, these people probably don't even have or even can afford a gun in order to defend themselves when it EVICTION DAY comes. Been there done it and that was 2015 (post-Great Recession!)... Budget Truck - drove all the way from Rochester, NY to beautiful Colorado Springs, NY and stayed out there - lived out there as long as possible! Rode that 'wave' to Portland, OR, back to horrible NY, then to the Land of Enchantment & danger to Albuquerque, NM... back in NY State cuz I did it the messed-up way, but messed-up to begin with foreclosure. Now in Section 8 and it is the best of the worst! It's actually 'attached to a hospital & we are all a large test, control subjects (Sect 8 people) for the Big Pharma Establishment now, as we look hopelessly out our windows here dreaming of yesterday & hoping to die! I live in Senior, handicapped & disabled Sect 8 housing 'attached to a hospital right? (the cat's meow! the 'Rosetta Stone' of Sect. 8 housing!) - WE ARE BEING ABUSED HERE - REALLY BAD & I CAN NEVER GET ONTARIO COUNTY HUD/SECT 8 on the phone for anything at all! Same old crap - mgmt. Won't lift a finger for crapo - just easy fixes here. And, it's very difficult here - they have those hideous blinds in your windows that you get horrible, blinding light through that you have to gerry-rig tall windows pretty much on your own or it's bad-ass blinding light in your face 1st thing in the morning - adds to non-productivity - CORPORATE like it that way - to keep us trapped as 'purchase pointling's' for the GOV'T!!! Smells like a nursing home on the ground floor and there's 5 more floors with more of us 'casts-off's' just left to die here at the hands of Big Pharma!!! Horrible discrimination from the Property Mgr - her little 'Facist' clicks, people flicking out of their minds - they try to get into your apartment as a 'friendly' neighbor, and, then it's like what the hey - you're trying to give me Monkey Pox , Shingles or COVID-19, while they are casing your apartment for medical supplies & food that they can't afford.. it's a "shit hole" way of living (from the lips of Dump!)... There's something to be said here about having a car, preferably a van... if you're lucky. Inflation & wars & Global Populist Rulers. Wake up AMERICA - if you have a vehicle hang onto it - you'll be living out of it & you will learn how to live life on your own terms & you'll find out, that you can most likely hang onto more $$ - Goto CheapRVLiving now (Y.T.) - Bob Wells will kindly show you how... Give it up America! Sticks n bricks or Bricks n mortar are the old days of shruggling. I believe in RENT SOVEREIGNTY- alternative living. If you live out of a vehicle - the beauty is you can adjust your living 'up or down' - perfect for our global inflammatory economy & Corporate America doesn't like us people finding a way to hang onto our $$ by living out of our vehicle now do they!! Their precious fossil fuels are only ment for wars, the wealthy and 'ESSENTIAL' WORKERS and their message is if you're not any of the above, then the last thing they want in this country is a 'NON-ESSENTIAL' have-not living out of their car, hanging onto $$ and SUCKING UP their precious fosil fuels!!.. Don't live in AMERICAN cities living out of a vehicle -there are cities in California that will ticket you if you're sleeping in your vehicle & force you outside your vehicle to sleep at night on the sidewalk where you can be 'conveniently' killed!!! Homelessness is an industry in this country & becoming that way in others!!! They smirk & kick the homeless around & smirk while they are kicking you out the door into homelessness! If you have a vehicle GODDESS BLESS YOU, - you're one of the fortunate ones - and head to National Forestry or Bureau of Land Mgmt lands as soon as possible... I feel stuck where I'm at, so I ran me a GOFUNDME - check out "NEED VAN FOR NOMADIC MUSICAL LIFE!" AND... yes, the southwest & northwest is the best! ("The west is the best." - Jim Morrison ~ The Doors.
