Happy almost #4thofjuly to celebrate I made a surprise inside American flag #cake perfect for a #summer BBQ! This cake had so many components but I feel like they all worked together so well! I did a American flag pattern on the inside of the cake, decorated it using a cake comb and buttercream icing to create strips on the outside, did a white chocolate ganache recipe drip running down the sides, then topped it with DIY fireworks, custom fancy sprinkles and fondant gumpaste stars! Hope you love what I came up with have a safe 4th everyone!

@@user-_-37470 Fourth of July desserts here don’t usually include a cake. A cobbler, pie, sure, cookies, taffy, fudge, fried Oreos/twinkles, funnel cakes, maybe even cupcakes, but layered cake is rarely bought to a 4th of July celebration. Wouldn’t stand the heat of a bbq/cookout.

I've always loved to bake. Since as long as I can remember, my dad and I used to bake together. I remember cracking my first egg. It got all over us and it was gross but I loved it. Right now I have the tinest kitchen but I still try to bake as often as I can. We're looking to move soon, and I hope we can find a place that has a bigger kitchen! Love your videos!
Bonus crafting!! Whee!! I sometimes don't feel right being patriotic with some of the things the flag has come to represent, but I also believe in equality for all, AND I love any excuse to make pretty things and celebrate with cake. Here's to a more inclusive future for everybody.
