I sensed Pastor Ian becoming Myopic in this sermon. I pray your extreme faith in the Lord, which I admire does not form arrogance in your words, ostracizing the young and lost, In Jesus name. Meditation led me to God. The first Bible verse I memorized was John 14:27. Before this I sat in silence and pictured Jesus. I repeated phrases in my head like “God Loves me”. Eventually my meditation sessions led me to an empty silence, and I became aware of a strange void within me. I discovered a sobering difference between self and God. Self is wicked and weak. I started meditating on John 14:27 (the first Bible verse I memorized) and I heard a voice that was not of me say “Peace I give to you, Trey. Peace I leave with you, Trey.” It was the entire verse but personalized with my name at the end. God knew I was searching, And He came to lift me up during a time when I was suffering. This is the first time I heard God speak audibly. Now I meditate on a Bible verses, one per week. I agree with Pastor, meditation does have a dark side. Meditation in the new age sense will reveal an evil side of yourself that may feel good but it’s not. Christian meditation is real and beneficial! Invite the Holy Spirit into your meditation session, have a scripture prepared and let go, so God can speak.

History is important. many gods is not new age! Spirituality is not new age. God wants us to love one another come together but all these religions cause destruction, divisions, war etc. all negativity. You ever think about that?
