What? He put up 5 defensive rebounds, 2 steals, 3 blocks, and 3 assists. He is a young defensive hustle guy with good playmaking as well, if he develops a 3 point shot (he already has one without the pressure of a real game, but he needs to learn to translate that to a real NBA 3 point shot), then he will easily earn his place coming off the bench as a 3 and D guard.
He was drafted 55th, but people are putting pressure on him like he was drafted 1st overall. He is already top 10 in both steals and blocks in the California summer league. That puts him ahead of most of the guards in the 2nd round on the defensive end. Most the guards drafted ahead of him don't have a defensive game as strong as his.
Remember that Pat Bev has been a single point average guard his entire career but gets respect as a defensive pest that will hustle and stick to you like superglue.
