I was the 2nd drummer in Futurisk 1981, after Jack, and then after Jeff, Frank and I left to form Radio Berlin, he returned. Jeremy the singer was the founder, who after winning a guitar contest in Fort Lauderdale FL, sponsored by Modern Music a large retail musical instrument store.
He won studio time and quickly formed Futurisk with Jack on drums, Jeff on Bass, and Frank on Keyboards.
When Frank, Jeff, and I left to form Radio Berlin with Mike Green, Jack came back to Futurisk around early 1982.
IMHO, Jeremy was extremely talented and original in his writing.
He was also a good friend.
I hope he is doing well and ok.

I like this track, there's something really dark about it that inspires me to produce more music, If only there were more people who enjoyed synthpop/minimal wave, I love synthpop and minimal wave and people think I'm strange but who cares :D

Thanks minimalwave for posting this. I was in campus/community radio for several years in the 80s but never heard of this. I stumbled into this after watching some videos by The Screamers, another band I stumbled into today.

@ladronguapo I've been listening to electro music for almost like 32 years and I think there are hundreds of little electronic bands like this that most of us probably never ever heard of before.I used to have some weird indie electronic singles and cassettes myself.(I remember one of them was called Future Toys.God what a name for a band).Never too late to discover some of them still I think.

My brother played similar on his guitar about 1976/77, except, his was called 'Chest Expander',, it went like this.. Building muscles on your chest, watch those springs! They'll rip your vest,, Chessst Expander! Ahead of his time was our boy! ;)) Brill track! ❤️

@PandPfreestyle it does look like a Liberation, but it is actually Moog Rogue in the attachable strap-on encasement that was available before the Liberation, that's why it looks oversized on the underside. it was a real heavy bitch.

This is terrible. Really, really bad. I thought it was a parody, at first. Go watch the Screamers, they were an actual synth-punk band... or just watch Devo.
