- With a short amount of time off for neck fusion surgery, I’m itching to get back out camping and with a long weekend in front of us, the focus is darn to whether we can get this modified Navara with a VK56 V8 engine to tow better. Let’s try out the Dobinsons rear coils and an Interlock airbag from a Y62 Patrol
Dave, I'm so glad the neck is good mate, look after yourself
Need some chasis plates welded to chasis also mate. Night and day difference mate had them done less flex in chasis.
Film the uphill tunnel 😊
Nice one.
Horses for courses mate i tow with a y62 every thing you said about the patrol is true nothing seems to bother it when towing 3 to 3.5 ton
Relief to hear u still prefer Y62 for towing. With very minimal content on your Patrol of late the thought came to mind that you were going to sell.
Not until the y63 comes out, and even then, I’m not sure if I would pass up my V8
I didn’t see any level rides on the van, maybe trying some of those will help with the overall towing experience.
I hear you, but those things are a bit of work. I’m trying to avoid that
What air pressure did you have in the rear tyres, they looked to be a bit low, I would be running 50 psi with that heavy van.
For this trip I was running 45PSI
V8 or not, it's still a Navara. Garbage! Nissan 🥴
Love the idea of the v8 Navara looks the business well done
What was the spring rate you endedup putting in?
300kg constant load
