The challenge is how to get the best deal. Contestants meet the dealers who offer cash for an item. The seller must decide whether to accept the guaranteed money or risk fortune or failure in the auction room. Of course, placing one's trust in a positive auction outcome is a gamble in itself! Will they make the right choice?

Where gold is concerned it's all about the scrap value - one person lost 60 pounds on something she could easily have scrapped herself- all she had to do was visit gold dealers. I don't understand- like is it worth £60 to get on TV?

Yes they film multiple episodes each filming day & unless things have changed recently each expert gets £500 fee per day (not episode)
Wounder why they don't have 100 pound notes or don't uses 50 notes instead of all 20 when they put 400 in 20

Good heavens! Bridget complained she did not get what she wanted for those lovely Ansley cups and saucers? She wanted 180-200 pounds and she got 180 pounds. Some people are just greedy.
