Retiring from BMX? Ummm okay. I always liked Nate's riding but, like he could hop on a bike right now and get a clip. Those skills aren't going anywhere and just because you stepped away from the Stranger /Ect stuff doesn't mean you are never gonna ride your bike again. I just think its too strong of a word, there has to be a different term than retired. Just ride your bike and have fun. I just semi healed up from a broken neck injury and all I want to do is ride my bike and Im 39, I just love it, have been riding since 1995 and ill be riding until I die. I quit drinking in 2015. Caffeine need to get out of my life and I need to just start drinking bottled water like a human. But Thanks to medical bud I can function and ride my bicycle. Like I can't fully look left but I can still ride FDR and have a blast as well as digging down my trails. Like I have to work at my own pace but I went from being bed ridden to back riding empty pools and having fun. @@consoulate I know, and I broke my neck/tore every single thing in it June 1st, 2021. Thanks to RSO Capsules from the PA Medical Marijuana program seriously were a game changer. Its called Rick Simpson Oil if you have pain, this is the way to get back to a semi normal life. Like I'll never be 100% from my injury.. But if I take some RSO even smoking a few bowls and Im loosened up and ready to ride. I went from pain pills to heroin like so many back in late 2012-2015 when I actually died. But thank you Narcan. I had quit drinking because it was cutting into my Heroin money. I just wanted to die, then I got locked up, tightened up, got a new bike.... 6 months later it was stolen (WITH MY LAST PAIR OF SCERBO BARS) and I was back down Kensington. I just didn't care anymore. But after my sister had a kid. I just quit cold turkey which is THE ONLY WAY TO DO IT BTW. Even with booze, unless you like are drinking hand sanitizer you probably need to be hospitalized as its extremely dangerous to just quit cold turkey HEAVY boozing. But My back has also been ruined for years thanks to just riding back when bikes were like 40 lbs, and never taking a break from riding until I broke my neck. Even when I was a low bottom dope fiend I still was watching videos and finding spots in really grimy areas where I used to get my H. from as I didn't get it from the popular blocks, I went into the cut to get the good stuff. Everything now is just poison but seriously, weed saved my life. But I was just saying Life is Hard, Be Harder.

I was cheesing yesterday after the new line I built down my trails worked perfectly, just reminded me how much the little stuff sometimes just makes you stoked. But here's some advice as it seems like everyone took their first sponsorship offer up.... Like I turned down my first chance to get sponsored by a bike shop because they wanted Navaz and I to wear jerseys at the Skatepark and I didn't know how cool this was at the time but this bike shop built racing frames down the basement of the shop and we had the chance to collaborate on a frame, but we both had just gotten new Standards and I didn't want to ride anything else. I had no idea how cool of an opportunity that was that I just was like nah everyone says its wack but in my heart I was like DO IT YOU FOOL! So just a tip, don't be mister cool guy/girl/whatever if someone wants to hook you up. Unless its like some White Power clothing company, DO IT!!!
He kinda just seems like someone who only likes things for the cool factor or he needs a click. But i dont know him so what do i know. I just wonder if he really actually like bmx for what it is.

As a working father I get it. I just took a good spill in the bowl yesterday. BMX has just always been a garunteed way for me to find immediate peace and clear my head, and I did give it up for most of my twenties. Im glad I am back on the bike, but I understand that a good fall will make you question if its all worth it or not.
