What usually happens at least with me, trying to learn so many things, I revert back to what I usually do and that means go back to my comfortable habits. Usually bad habits. 😮
Usually, when 46 things are going wrong, it stems from a single thing you do "wrong" early. Try to figure out the earliest thing wrong in the approach that leads to all the other stuff and work on that 1 early thing
For me this relates allot to baseball and how any good player will use there left arm ( with a heavy glove on) as a way to not only shift weight through your shoulders to the ball upon release, but also to point and aim at your target. I’m very excited to try this out with a bit of weight on my arm to be more accountable and also see if I can use my arm as a way to really aim and zone in on my target more. Great video, keep it going.
This is all I worked on yesterday night and over 5 games totaled 1,122 pins with a high of 279. Amazing how much more balanced I felt at the line. Great video!
This is great! I like that when I watch these videos, as an amateur (very), I can understand almost everything you are saying. Some I watch are so full of tech speak without clarification, or just colloquialisms, and I get so little useable information. Brad and Kyle, you really are great teachers. And thank you Coach Daniel! I now have something real to work on. I reviewed my own slo-mo video and I'm better at this than I would have thought, but I do see my hand peeking around my shoulder all the way through my (4 step) backswing. I'm going to work on better extension forward and start the shoulder rotation with both arms extended opposite each other throughout the downswing. Should be interesting.
Good video, I struggled with the same problem a couple of weeks ago and spent hours replaying my shots in my mind, worked it out, practiced and got my game back on track at my next league session. Correct on the programming it into memory, there are times I slip back but now I recognise when it happens and I am able to fix it before the rot sets in.
Saw this video about 10 times and will save it This is a bad habit I picked up and now my one pound hand weight will be with my arsenal. Thank you thank you thank you.
Super good video. This is EXACTLY what I need to work on in my game. I understand that major "repairs" in ones game takes time and practice. I'll get there ! Thanks for the awesome content (as usual!).
I have a tendency to "loop" in my backswing. I cannot feel it, so I have my teammate watch. We know each others' game really well. I worked on a few things this year, and I shot my first 800 series at 815. I had quite a few mid to high 700 series prior, but just couldn't eclipse the 800 mark until I perfected my release. Also, I did some research on Kobe Bryant and mental gameplay. Helped a ton. Love you guys' channel. Continue the good work and fight the good fight!
Great video guys! Back in October when I attended your in person bowling clinic, this was one of the things I worked on with Coach Daniel except at the time we used the wooden dowel, keeping it vertical until the "switch" of the downswing. I can most definitely tell when I do this right because my ball just tears it up and is meh when I don't. It does take a lot of work to master this. It will be my focus this summer.
👍 #600 for this segment - good one Brad! Body position from dots to foul line is what I work on in practice. It is very important and it shows when I haven't practiced enough before league or tournament I also go to the gym so I can have a better transfer of power to the ball without "forcing" the shot and throwing my body position out of whack. Good stuff. Great guest!
Excited to work on this. This could be one of the reasons for my inconsistent ball roll. It certainly aligns with what I see from my ball. I'll have to video myself and see if that's the case or not
I had a problem where my ball would turn super late. But the throw felt so perfect so I just took a step back with the same shot. It improved immensely
Amazing vid!! Similar (but better) to a previous vid a few years back about leading that balance arm. Time & again I've found great results when I remember to focus on this. Explained even better here. Definitely sharing this 💪😎
Was already going to book a lesson with coach Daniel today, but this video definitely made the decision even easier. Cant wait to get in. Awesome video!
So, I started practicing this swim move, and it speeds up my delivery. I don't have enough revs to hook it from faster. Moved in - ok results. Backed off my foot speed - moved right - ok results. Work in progress.
Tried this today during practice. Felt like I was able to stay under and behind the ball with less effort and swing was easier. Also was slightly more accurate hitting my target. I feel that with additional practice this to will improve.
Great video. I was working on this with the arm weight just this morning. I was not near as effective at making the change. I grew up bowling being taught to keep shoulders parallel to the foul line. It is a hard habit to break. I have noticed that when I get a little bit more open with my shoulders I have some difficulty hitting my target, mostly missing to the right. I’m assuming as I progress with this that my aim will improve as well. Looking forward to more instructional videos like this one. Thanks!
I've been practicing my arm swing like this just recently and i've noticed how much of a difference it's made in my game. I just now have to work on turning my hand too early on my release 😅
Could be a late release issue. I had that problem. If my release got out to far in front of me I would roll my hand over the ball. I didn’t realize your hand naturally turn’s when you reach out. I simply started my release earlier more near my ankle and it made a world of difference in speed and revolutions. It forces you to stay behind the ball
Coach Daniel is awesome. He will show you mechanics in your game that you would never know you needed to improve on. I know my average has increased because of his lessons. If you are in the St. Louis region, I would highly recommend you check him out!
I've had a similar experience by wearing my watch on my non-throwing arm. Needless to say, I had forgotten I used to do this until I saw this video. 😆 Now I just have to find that watch.
I'm curious. Is it even possible to put more speed into the ball if you are using the yo-yo/low down effect? I’ve noticed my average speed goes down from 16 mph to 13 a lot when I use that. It could be a normal amount due to the nature of the hook itself.
Does it matter if the thumb is pointing up or down on the balance arm? I was taught to point the thumb down when sending it out and horizontal or up when going straight up the boards? Or, should it be the opposite of what the ball hand is doing? Can someone clear this up for me?
Great Video. There Were Times That I Have Thrown My Ball Right in the Pocket and Sometimes I Rarely Get a Solid 8. But Most of the Time I Get a Strike Right in the Pocket
If I need Coaching, what do you need from me ? My Goal is to achieve more revs. My speed is about 9.5-10.0 & Minutes use a 4step and 80+. My max score has been 299 ( 10 years ago)
So...I watched this before I went to practice yesterday. Threw the first 2 games, 182, 183 respectively. My wife recorded my last approach on the 2nd game and I watched it. I was shocked that my balance are barely extended. So I figured I would give this a shot...threw a 210. Good tip...
I went and saw puerto a year or so ago and we went over this. One of the best lessons I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to get back over there again
Only 46 things to remember when throwing a ball
And remember to don’t overthink
😂😂😂😂😂😂
What usually happens at least with me, trying to learn so many things, I revert back to what I usually do and that means go back to my comfortable habits. Usually bad habits. 😮
That's why it's called "practice". You shouldn't be thinking about anything when you're actually competing.

The tip to use my other hand like I was swinging for more balance jumped me up from a 178 to 188 easily. Thanx fellas.
Great coaches have a special talent for explaining things so that what they are trying to get across just clicks. Daniel has the gift.
Wow, thank you so much..great lesson❤
This was such a great tip video 😃

Cool video tech bowling Brad and Kyle
Great video. I'm really getting into bowling and trying to feel things. I love the weight idea. Thanks
Awesome tip!! After bowling for 30 yrs I've learned bowling can be complicated. All I think about is, I wanna roll the ball well.

What an awesome coach with unique solutions.
Great video. Honestly this is something I've been working on too
Excited to work on this. This could be one of the reasons for my inconsistent ball roll. It certainly aligns with what I see from my ball. I'll have to video myself and see if that's the case or not
Coach Daniel gave me a dowel rod to hold at the b&k clinic. really helped my balence arm
I had a problem where my ball would turn super late. But the throw felt so perfect so I just took a step back with the same shot. It improved immensely

Daniel is the man, man. I need to get some lessons from him!
Was already going to book a lesson with coach Daniel today, but this video definitely made the decision even easier.
Cant wait to get in. Awesome video!
Thank you, Brad! I'm not sure how those of us who grew up "square to square" can unlearn that, but when we see it, we want it!
👍
Excellent excellent excellent. Great breakdown on how to connect the brain and body dots.
Great tip! I’ll put that in my book!
So, I started practicing this swim move, and it speeds up my delivery. I don't have enough revs to hook it from faster. Moved in - ok results. Backed off my foot speed - moved right - ok results. Work in progress.
Great advice, thank you!
Add to my list of things to work on. Seems like a never ending list.
Loved the video
Tried this tonite and threw it great!!!!!
I’ll be honest, I used this tip this evening saw a much stronger roll out of my shots this evening and felt more control.
Tried this today during practice. Felt like I was able to stay under and behind the ball with less effort and swing was easier. Also was slightly more accurate hitting my target. I feel that with additional practice this to will improve.

I'm struggling with my release as well. I'm definitely trying this soon.
I'm on the B&K coaching program. It is great to get reminders of something I'm working on!

Fantastic video! Thanks!
What weight bowling ball do you and Kyle use? Does it very with ball choice?
Coach Daniel is awesome. He will show you mechanics in your game that you would never know you needed to improve on. I know my average has increased because of his lessons. If you are in the St. Louis region, I would highly recommend you check him out!
Wow, my mind is blown, and I'm not joking. Thank you so much!
I've had a similar experience by wearing my watch on my non-throwing arm. Needless to say, I had forgotten I used to do this until I saw this video. 😆
Now I just have to find that watch.
8:44 in kind of described what happened in my approach. I was fast with my feet, my torso collapsed, yet I got away with one (Lucky bowling strike).
Quick question Kyle, should I try to be keeping my shoulders open from the onset or do what's comfortable?
I'm curious. Is it even possible to put more speed into the ball if you are using the yo-yo/low down effect? I’ve noticed my average speed goes down from 16 mph to 13 a lot when I use that. It could be a normal amount due to the nature of the hook itself.
Me and my daughter seeing Daniel for the first time on Wednesday can't wait this is exact problem she has!
Is Daneil an active bowling coach here in the US?
Does it matter if the thumb is pointing up or down on the balance arm? I was taught to point the thumb down when sending it out and horizontal or up when going straight up the boards? Or, should it be the opposite of what the ball hand is doing? Can someone clear this up for me?

I tore my rotator cuff on my non throwing arm and it’s so hard to extend at the foul line and bring it out for balance. What should I do?
If I need Coaching, what do you need from me ?

Smart guy. Finally we meet the brains behind the bowlers. 😅
Brad was this something that came in mind during your big run at the TOC?
So...I watched this before I went to practice yesterday. Threw the first 2 games, 182, 183 respectively. My wife recorded my last approach on the 2nd game and I watched it. I was shocked that my balance are barely extended. So I figured I would give this a shot...threw a 210. Good tip...
Wow... so many elite bowlers in the comment section today. 🤣🤣
How can I get a lesson with coach Daniel
First, keep up the good work
You didn’t do the tip justice w those shots, but I’ll give it a whirl next time Im at open bowl and see if I can finally take the bumpers down
brad get some drysol for your hyperhydrosis
This is what I was coming to say. Drysol, not duradry
Can you guys PLEASE have coach Daniel teach this exact thing to someone who is a planter?
hey coach Daniel we know this very well . lol 😂
Mr daniel really looks like Young Sheldon's father 😅
Where is the content?
Seems like the Summit isn't the ball for that pattern.
Brad looks too much like Krillin from DBZ. Anyone else agree??
Can't you just bowl with the weight on all the time? There's no rule against it
Just bowl two hand and you don't have to worry about any of that 😂
Oh how to get the ball to stop being fast? Slow down...GENIUS!
Wow, so insightful
@@Codeeeeee I know! Rocket science!
BALANCE ARMS DO NOT CAUSE SLOWER BALL SPEED!
Brads failures have nothing to do with his physical game at all. His strategy in lane play and ball motion need work. That's it.
Are you on the tour?
You're wrong.
Yeah, who cares what you think? Holy shit. Just watch, learn, and pay Brad a supportive compliment instead of criticism.
