After what happened to Blue Protocol i'll just consider games as non existent until we get atleast a closed beta in western regions or some kind of confirmation like a set release date that is in the near future or something.
If gameplay will be like in original or kinda close it will be great. But its for mobile/pc mutliplatform and I have so many concerns. And I guess no character creation with classes?
They can implement PvP but without any gear a.k.a balance PvP like in OG dragonnest where no matter what you wear, all players have the same stat in the PvP room.
I played every class in Dragon nest it was AAA MMO back then, no other game had those smooth animations.. even the cleric was fun with his crosses falling from the sky 😂

Looks great..... but it's an Anime game so it'll either be really terrible or really amazing, there is usually never a middle ground.

hell no... look how netmarble massacre our game ni no kuni cross world... it's was fun on release day with guild activity but the progression patch by patch make it worse than before. After that I'm more scare with their future game 7DS:Origin. Hopefully H13 will do a better job than netmarble and nexon

Dragon Nest itself was the game that opened me up to the genre of action online RPG game and it's become my favorite genre, so if I do play it'll be out of...idk, sentimentality. Still, depending on factors I may stick with it or drop it.
Blue Protocol could have survived if they just released it in the West tbh. Bit we gotta move on now. MMOs in 2024 need to release globally, be multiplatform, and have Cross Play on launch. It really looks like they don't survive or make returns in profit otherwise.

The triple, dual up to 10-20 combo’s attack. when dragon nest came out after 2-3 years the combo attack from dragon nest 1 to dragon nest 2 decreased dramatically that why dragon nest style is different to other games this is how they label the game. Dragon nest is about combo attack 1-30 sometime more depends how you do it. Talking about dragon sword I would say not really dragon nest because where is combo attack from 1-30 or more? There is one issue with the PVP thing, that is that PVP is not needed and affects negatively to PVE, even makes the game potentially more P2W. But at the same time, PVP can help to monetize, and make PVE good by not breaking it with horrible monetization, so it's a kind of choosing a lesser evil. Gachapon and PVP will break the PVP side in terms of P2W, but might make PVE more fun and viable for others. Open world PVP will kill the game, not gonna happen.
I really like the look of the game graphically and I loved Dragon Nest's, I am really irritated that it looks like it's going to be a gacha game. Hopefully it won't be but God damn it, I wanted to customize a class.
Webzen i remember from Age of Wulin. Was one of the best open world pvp combat system but Webzen ran it into the ground with to much p2w monotization 😭

ONe of Dragon's Nest best selling part is its PVP, so no pvp is a no go. Also if you are worried about the p2w of gacha for pvp, did you not know or play Dragon Nest then? You can have pvp same with Dragon Nest where everyone has Equal Gears. To Elimnate P2W in pvp

I'm at the point that every time I hear of a publisher for MMOs, either they're VERY infamous for the terrible business practices they employ, or I've never heard of them and can't base an opinion on them. Reality is that self-publishing a game can be extremely difficult, especially if you plan on reaching a wider audience by having the game shine through multiplayer online, and if it's an MMO, it's nigh impossible to maintain without a publisher. Yet, every single MMO-oriented publisher I know of is terrible to a great degree.
I had unfortunate success to play a mess that was dragon nest mobile. Original dragon nest was great because combat. I thing there was also dragon nest 2 on mobile which was a complete garbage
