I guess I'm the opposite of you with Sacrament. I think Randy's voice is the best it ever was on that album. The way he shrieks "Walk with me in Hell!" sounds like nothing he's ever done before or since to my ears. He sounds like a big jungle cat and it's incredible. The vitriol on Pathetic and Again We Rise is absolutely palpable and in your face. Especially the latter track since it's about the whole "Lost Cause Ideology" some parts of the south cling to regarding the Civil War. For me personally, Sacrament is in my top three, behind New American Gospel and the Burn The Priest album.
I try to comically mimic Randy when singing along and like I try my damndest to get the tone and technique and I just laugh at myself and realize how great Randy is on Walk With me in Hell
Bro I feel you man, when I was like in Grade 8, I would listen to this album on repeat. I actually loved Randy's vocals the most on this album and Mark's solos and riffs are just totally badass imo. It's only my opinion so don't take it personally that this album is very high on my list.
@@GorbombZombay not even, songs like more time to kill, requiem, forgotten lost angels and again we rise has great riffs and solos that is so underrated
Ditch is such a good song man. Pretty impressed with the new album actually. Maybe everything blends a bit, but almost every song has something I love.
Great video as always. Thank you for taking the time to make it. Some other critics say Lamb of God should retire, I don’t agree at all. I think Omens and Lamb of God 2020 were 2 of their best albums imo. The other part I respect and love about Lamb of God is they have always stayed true to their sound. Not a lot of bands can always pull it off but I believe they have done a great job.
I like how omens is the first time since ashes of the wake that they’ve used that art style for an album, and only the second time they’ve ever done it. And I love both album covers Edit: and the only 2 to have bone birds
Late to LOG my first album was Wrath. Played it so much over the years that I bought a new CD. I echo what you wrote 💯. You sir are a man of taste ( and I’ve since got more of LOGs CDs )Wrath is their most underrated and most overlooked release in my humble 🇬🇧ish opinion. Laters.
@@davegreen873I agree wrath and resolution are both my favourite log albums because they're LOG at their "grooviest " signature groove metal sound and it's just fu****g awesome . Ashes of the wake is also up there with them .
I love LOG, even the new stuff. Saw them as burn the priest and bought as the palaces burn years later when I figured out they changed their name. For me Sacrament is my favorite album followed by As the Palaces Burn. I learned almost every song on Sacrament when I got back into guitar. Foot to Throat, Blacken the Cursed Sun and Lost Angels are some of my favorite songs ever.
Back in high school I practically “wore out” my DVD copy of Killadelphia. What a fucking great show and look into the band, I felt like they were guys that I knew and their commentary in the special features was absolutely hilarious. I had such a bond with this band, and I remember at the end Randy(?) said something to the effect of “Future of Lamb of God is pretty bright” and I wholeheartedly thought the same, but after that it just wasn’t quite the same. Like you said, I don’t think they’ve put out a “bad” album and I’ve still bought every release, but it almost felt like they stopped trying at a certain point. When Chris left I remember reading an interview where he said something like “I just don’t want to paint by numbers”, and it was pretty telling. Oh well, still love ‘em and lots of nostalgia. Ashes and Palaces are both easy S tier in my book.
Lamb of God doesn't have any bad albums. Very consistent and rather difficult to rank. S: As The Palaces Burn, Ashes Of The Wake A: New American Gospel, Wrath, VII: Sturm Und Drang, Omens B: Lamb of God, Sacrament C: Resolution
I’m going to be honest, initially I felt the same way about omens as you until I saw them play it live and then it gave me a whole new appreciation for that track and raised it up pretty high for me.
Excited to hear this one. I really enjoyed the self-titled album, so if it's on par or better, then i'm stoked! I had similar thoughts on the singles but reviews have been very positive so far.
I’d go Ashes, Palaces, Wrath, Omens, Sacrament, Burn the Priest, Sturm und Drang, Gospel, Self-Titled, Resolution. In that order, but honestly after Ashes and Palaces it’s really a toss up and I could put them in any order. Really says something about their consistent quality. Resolution is the only one I really don’t like.
Couldnt agree you with you more about palaces. It might be my favourite album of all time. Also in complete agreement with your analysis of sacrament. Nice vid man, these guys are my fav band.
Personally, I have a soft spot for wrath 🤘🏼🖤 not my fav, but probably my third. After ashes and then palaces. I’m actually keen one the newest stuff. Eye brow raising. Good video mate.

Nice video! Enjoyed it very much. Eventhough Sacrament is my favourite Lamb Of God album :D I loved that you put VII: Sturm and Drang in A tier - didn't see that coming - I love that album! :) Keep it up, your content is very entertaining.
Funny story well more memories from my past. One of my first shows was Lamb of God and Mushroomhead in like 03 right before Ashes of the Wake released in 04.
I totally forget about Burn the Priest. The first 3 albums are classics for sure. I definitely like the new album compared to their self titled album. Cool review
Self titled deserves more love in my opinion. I mean there is no GREAT songs except for Ressurection Man maybe, but also there is no song that you wanna skip, and blasting it in a car before a long way home is a great feeling.
I think self titled is personally my least favourite log album . Wrath ,resolution and ashes of the wake are my three favourite so its obvious i have a preference for their more pure groove metal sound
1: Sacrament 2: Ashes of The Wake 3: As the Palaces Burn 4: VII: Sturm und Drang 5: Lamb of God 6: New American Gospel 7: Omens 8: Wrath 9: Burn the Priest 10: Resolution
Pretty damn Good list, glad you gave Sturm & Drung the respect it deserves. The only problem with Wrath was the 2 of the best songs were the bonus tracks... Shoulder of your God & we Die alone are 2 of the best LOG songs off All time
Idk why I love yeowly vocals lol. Love it when Hetfield does it, love it when Matt Heafy does it, love it when Bjorn does it idk why it's fun. I'm not a metal connoisseur and don't really understand genres as well. Can't believe Groove comes from Thrash because I'm not much of a fan of the latter but damn the clips of especially the earlier albums you put in the video were fucking rad. Gotta give it a try.
I stop listening after high school so I missed a chunk of their later albums. Heard memento mori for the first time the other day I just relapsed like crazy
I don't agree on Sacrament either, but I can see where you're coming from. Probably has something to do with this being the first I spent proper time with and then worked my way backwards.
Really digging Randy’s vocals on Burn the Priest and debut album, like your said he never do some vocal techniques that he use to do. Also I found that I’ve never listened to Palaces Burn, only two singles, I was really impressed, Blood Junkie is breakdown factory
Took me a long time to appreciate Palaces, probably because of the mix. When it got remixed in 2013 it finally clicked for me. All the songs are aggressive as fuck and is what I wish they'd still sound like.
I never understood why "sacrament" ratings were so high on "metalstorm." I've always felt that album was pretty uninspired compared to the rest of the discography. That being said, "resolution" is bashed right off the get-go with some shit reviews despite having some great content, case in point...Ghost walking..fucking banger. But also it had a good mix of songs that kept it intresting.
First time ever, i feel like we are in complete agreement. Although after being massively disappointed by Sacrament, i kinda didn’t really pay much attention to later releases.

Always heard of log but never listened to them till this new album bc I didn’t know where to start and mannn the new album yanked me right in and I love this band now
Fuck yeah. The first four, including burn the priest, are dirty and heavy. I found them in Iraq when Ashes dropped. Me and my buddy were fucking blown away. I putt all the albums on random and don't have to skip any song. Makes work better. Great review Sir. 👏
Never really got into LOG... but with your many Pantera comparisons and the tour announcement, I started to listen and DAMMMN I have been missing out; 512 and Ghost Walking sucked me in. Love the channel buddah!!!!
I've wondered for a while if there's any correlation between if you're a new or an old fan of the band. Personally I found the band just a couple years ago and really loved their more groovy and modern sound rather than their older very tight and aggressive ones. On the contrary, a few of my friends who have been listening since early 2000's seem to lean more towards that older sound. So yeah, I've wondered if the reason for this (if there is any correlation or if it's just a coincidence) could be nostalgia reasons, or perhaps newer fans prefer the more up-to-date production and sound of the band. Their self-titled is my personal favorite and truly one of my favorite albums of all time, but it really could be just because it was the very first one I listened to from start to finish and loved the sound, possibly setting that as the standard of what I'm looking for with a LOG album. Just some thoughts!
Meu Ranked - Lamb Of God: S - Sacrament A - As the Palaces Burn, Wrath e VII: Sturm und Drang B - Resolution C - Ashes of the Wake, Lamb of God e Omens D - Burn The Priest e New American Gospel
Surprised that Sacrament sits so low, but I guess one album has to hold the low spot lol. Requiem is a favorite of mine. Resolution got me into LoG, so maybe I’m biased but it’s an A for me. Glad you gave it the praise it deserves.
Interesting to see how your opinions have changed since the last one. A lot of LoG’s stuff has taken a long time to grow on me. 1. Wrath 2. Ashes of the Wake 3. VII 4. As The Palaces Burn 5. Resolution (super underrated still) 6. Omens (so far… it’s going to grow on me I think) 7. Lamb of God 8. Sacrament (I can’t help it. Besides a few songs, it bores me a lot) 9. New American Gospel (purely down to the production quality, maybe I ought to take your advice and get past that)
Well I just re-spun Sacrament. Shit. It’s far better than I liked it last time. Still not my favorite, but it’s super solid until Forgotten and Requiem. Then it loses me a little bit.
agree but sacrament is way better than people rank it. every track kinda has the same similar sound to it but the guitar and drum breakdowns are so underrated.
Ranking these would be so hard. Cause each album does something awesome for me just in a different way. But put a gun to my head and say I can only keep one, I think I’d choose Wrath. But man I’ve loved LOG since day 1 so this would be impossible for me 🤣
Please review Goatwhore next (including whole discography), they dropped their new album "Angels Hung From the Arches of Heaven" the same day as Omens here. It think the album kicked ass. Criminally underrated band.
Sacrament is Pure guitar masterpiece with awesome Old like Sound production IMO My Own S: As the Palaces Burn, Ashes of the Wake, Burn The Priest, New American Gospel, Sacrament A: Lamb of God, Wrath B: Resolution C: VII: Sturm und Drang, Omens D: Nothing All band Discography is Pure diamond, love everysingle composition from this band Metalcore, Metalcore is the reason why some albums are less haunting my soul than others.
I'll be seeing Lamb of God in Vancouver this Sunday! It'll be my third time seeing them as I first saw them in 2015 with Slipknot and the second time was in 2018 opening for SLAYER! As for the shirt you sported in the video, I actually have that same GWAR shirt. I saw GWAR a few nights ago in Vancouver. I was up front and got SPRAYED WITH BLOOD!
My opinion 10 - Resolution 9 - Burn the Priest 8 - VII: Sturm Und Drang 7 - New American Gospel 6 - Omens 5 - Sacrament 4 - Lamb of God 3 - Ashes of the Wake 2 - Wrath 1 - As the Palaces Burn
Papa Trenches, it's unrelated to the video but are you familiar with Ophidian I? I think they're a cool techdeath band from Iceland with great potential. Love your content btw
Got into them in 2008. Bought Palaces, Ashes and Sacrament and listened to them all the time. Hyped Wrath and was absolutely floored when it came out. Then Resolution did absolutely nothing for me, but Sturm I thought was their second best effort. Haven't really cared about the last two albums. S: Wrath / Sturm / Palaces A: Ashes B: Sacrament C: Omens / Gospel / Priest D: Resolution / LoG
I grew up on metallica, pantera, sepultura, testament so, I was a little late to the game in discovering lamb of god but should've given them a chance sooner! I'm hooked now! I was never into death metal at all. Also, I wouldn't classify LoG as such. And finally, growing up in the 90s with thrash metal, I love the more raw production versus the more, what I consider over produced more modern metal...
I think LoG certainly has death metal elements, though I would argue Sepultura does as well in their early records. LoG reminds me of a heavier version of Pantera overall, with more death metal elements.
Glad to see Wrath and Sacrament not on S tier. People have rose tinted glasses with those albums. There's maybe one or 2 good songs on each where ATPB and AOTW don't have a single bad song.
My Tier List S: Sacrament, As the Palaces Burn A: Omens, Ashes of the Wake, Wrath B: VII: Sturm und Drang, Lamb of God, Resolution C: Burn the Priest F: New American Gospel
When you gave Sacrament a D, I knew all hell would break loose lol. But I can respect it. I really only came here to hear what you would say about Omens, and I can generally agree with you. Me personally, I give it an A though. Very fun album 🤘
Hot take: Sturm und Drang is easily their best album IMO. My ranking: 1. VII: Sturm und Drang 2. Ashes of the Wake 3. As the Palaces Burn 4. Wrath 5. Omens 6. Lamb of God 7. Sacrament 8. Resolution 9. New American Gospel
Personally, I'd put Wrath and Sturm Und Drang Lower and move Sacrament and Self-titled up. I've put so much time into those albums that I feel they deserve better
I HATED Wrath at first but now along with Sacrament, Wrath is MY FAVORITE LOG ALBUM BY FAR!!! I didn’t get into LOG until 2003 so maybe I’m not as old school as others
Great Tier list overall. I got into LOG a bit late so Sacrament was the first album I heard so it's one of my favs. My friends and I watched them live for the Sacrament and Wrath tours so I love those albums. What's even stranger is going back to Ashes of the Wake at first was a downgrade to me. AT FIRST. I love it a lot now. But Randys' vocals seems less dynamic. The only album I have gone back for here in 2023 is Ashes so maybe that's my new fav. I loved that one single, "No one left to save" or whatever it's called but by the time the full album came out, I had already lost most interest. Those last four albums might as well all be the same album to me. The third time I saw LOG, I didn't even know what album they were promoting.
Sacrament is my number three after as the palaces burn and ashes of the wake, with sturm und drang bringing up the fourth spot and omens rounding out the top five. Love all those albums, i listen to all of those more often than i care to admit lmao
Reclamation is still their best track imo. Wrath also doesn't sound as dated imo. Definitely number 1 for me. It's so funny looking at these lists after looking at Marks 😂

6. Omens (so far… it’s going to grow on me I think)
7. Lamb of God
8. Sacrament (I can’t help it. Besides a few songs, it bores me a lot)
But man I’ve loved LOG since day 1 so this would be impossible for me 🤣
Ashes of the wake is classic! 💘
"A warning" is such a banger!! 🤘
Please review Goatwhore next (including whole discography), they dropped their new album "Angels Hung From the Arches of Heaven" the same day as Omens here. It think the album kicked ass. Criminally underrated band.
I’ve always been kind of meh about them and the new album didn’t change that unfortunately

2- As the Palaces Burn
3- Sacrament
4- Wrath
5- Sturm and Drang
6- Resolution

A: Lamb of God, Wrath
B: Resolution
C: VII: Sturm und Drang, Omens

All band Discography is Pure diamond, love everysingle composition from this band Metalcore, Metalcore is the reason why some albums are less haunting my soul than others.
How did you skip over Ghost Walking. Maybe it’s just me but that track gets me pumped as hell
My brother in law got it for me from Riotfest
My opinion
10 - Resolution
9 - Burn the Priest
8 - VII: Sturm Und Drang
7 - New American Gospel
6 - Omens
5 - Sacrament
4 - Lamb of God
3 - Ashes of the Wake
2 - Wrath
1 - As the Palaces Burn
Papa Trenches, it's unrelated to the video but are you familiar with Ophidian I? I think they're a cool techdeath band from Iceland with great potential. Love your content btw
Thanks. Yes I believe so but I’d need to check them out again.
S: Wrath / Sturm / Palaces
A: Ashes
B: Sacrament
C: Omens / Gospel / Priest
D: Resolution / LoG
I grew up on metallica, pantera, sepultura, testament so, I was a little late to the game in discovering lamb of god but should've given them a chance sooner! I'm hooked now! I was never into death metal at all. Also, I wouldn't classify LoG as such. And finally, growing up in the 90s with thrash metal, I love the more raw production versus the more, what I consider over produced more modern metal...
I think LoG certainly has death metal elements, though I would argue Sepultura does as well in their early records.
LoG reminds me of a heavier version of Pantera overall, with more death metal elements.
Hey, have you heard about band called Drudkh? If it would be possible it would be cool to see your take on their discography and rank it.
I have. Maybe someday
Glad to see Wrath and Sacrament not on S tier. People have rose tinted glasses with those albums. There's maybe one or 2 good songs on each where ATPB and AOTW don't have a single bad song.
Absolutely
My Tier List
S: Sacrament, As the Palaces Burn
A: Omens, Ashes of the Wake, Wrath
B: VII: Sturm und Drang, Lamb of God, Resolution
C: Burn the Priest
F: New American Gospel
When you gave Sacrament a D, I knew all hell would break loose lol. But I can respect it. I really only came here to hear what you would say about Omens, and I can generally agree with you. Me personally, I give it an A though. Very fun album 🤘
Hot take: Sturm und Drang is easily their best album IMO. My ranking:
1. VII: Sturm und Drang
2. Ashes of the Wake
3. As the Palaces Burn
4. Wrath
5. Omens
6. Lamb of God
7. Sacrament
8. Resolution
9. New American Gospel
That Devin Townsend remark was so great!!!! He's not wrong. Anyone who has ever mixed something knows just how tedious it is!!
Personally, I'd put Wrath and Sturm Und Drang Lower and move Sacrament and Self-titled up. I've put so much time into those albums that I feel they deserve better
Departure Hymn off BTP fucking destroys!
11th hour got me into Lamb of God. And Ruin. Love them.
The only album I've listened to is Sacrament. The fact its D tier makes me excited for more. Lamb of God is literally the best thing ever.
I HATED Wrath at first but now along with Sacrament, Wrath is MY FAVORITE LOG ALBUM BY FAR!!! I didn’t get into LOG until 2003 so maybe I’m not as old school as others
Ashes of the wake and as the palaces burn are the album that got me into lamb of god and are always some of my favorites
S Tier: Ashes of the Wake, As the Palaces Burn
A Tier: Sacrament, Wrath, New American Gospel
B Tier: All the others
Lamb of God is Goat🤘
Yeah new American gospel still rocks man. Just listened to it tonight. It’s fucking awesome
I remember king me back first listening to that track I couldn't understand why lamb of god went that route lol
And yes the two after NAG were classics
Sacrament is my number three after as the palaces burn and ashes of the wake, with sturm und drang bringing up the fourth spot and omens rounding out the top five. Love all those albums, i listen to all of those more often than i care to admit lmao
1. Ashes
2. Sacrament
3. Palaces
4. Wrath
5. Resolution
6. Omens
7. Gospel
8. VII
9. LoG
Sacrament is my #1, new American gospel is bottom barrel for me.
I’ve got the same Gwar shirt! Did you also see them at Riotfest?
My brother in law did
I definitely agree with both S tier albums, I would put their live album Killadelphia up there too.
I wish more bands still did live albums
Ashes of the Wake is their best album hands down. It’s in my personal top 5 metal albums ever.
Best metal album of all time to me. Every single song is S tier.
Reclamation is still their best track imo. Wrath also doesn't sound as dated imo. Definitely number 1 for me. It's so funny looking at these lists after looking at Marks 😂
