Gere joined 92Y Talks to host a conversation with Daniel Goleman and Richard Davidson, the authors of "Altered Traits: Science Reveals How Meditation Changes Your Mind, Brain, and Body."
As he prepared to take the stage, he reflected on how meditation has impacted every facet of his life.

Excellent, I hope many Europeans and Americans will embrace to Buddhism , and truly they will build the pities , the reason I see is that those people have achieved the highest possible in normal life , I mean they are well off with materialistic objects , and lately they find it is not make them happy, so they are seeking happiness where they step up to Buddhist point to know whether there is what are they looking for , so they find it , once they found it they will stick with it and preserve it than Buddhists who are inherited in the Far East . Many Buddhist countries, like Sri Lanka 🇱🇰, there you find people who inherited Buddhism ,but they are practically not Buddhists , this is the difference, therefore, I feel that Buddhism is beginning to thrive in western world . I’m so delighted.

. I do research on how Buddhism disappeared in Bihar. I realized it never disappeared from Bihar. Buddhists simply failed to research Indian Buddhism. They looked at Buddhism through the sphere of their own cultures searching for only the Buddha. Buddha had a myriad of names in different villages according to his teachings there. Example. His favorite teaching was 'Lust and desire causes pain. Remove lust and desire, and pain is removed'. Translated into Bihari (where the Buddha story took place) it is DHUKH HARAN meaning to remove dukha. Three dozen villages pray to DUKH HARAN Baba. Its clear that DUKH HARAN Baba is none other than the Buddha. Problem is Buddhists are searching only for the Buddha. In the real Vaishali the Buddha begged for alms. The locals there pray to 'BHIKHAINI' Baba (Beggar Baba). Bhikhaini was mispronounced by Buddhists as Bhikshu. Who is BHIKHAINI Baba. The Buddha no doubt. But people are searching for a man called Buddha. In the real Vaishali, in Beluha the Buddha suffered a sickness and felt he had grown old. The locals pray to 'BURHA' Baba (Old Baba). Who is BURHA Baba. The Buddha no doubt. In the real Vaishali the Lichavies pressurized Buddha not to die. They trailed him to Bandagawan pressurizing him not to die. To put pressure in Hindi is DABESHWAR. Three dozen villages around the stupa where Buddha gave the Lichavies his patra, the villagers pray to Baba 'DABESHWAR NATH' meaning the man who won the pressurizing game. It was the the Buddha no doubt as he gave the Lichavies his patra and succeded in sending them back. But Buddhists are searching for the Buddha. Forgive me for commenting out of the topic. I just wanted to impart this information to you.

I'm a Born Again Christian and I meditate on my Living Saviour & The Holy Spirit of God which speaks to me. I dont think my own thoughts. I meditate on God's word. Richard is an actor so his mind can be searching for what I've found. Buddhism is not the answer. Heaven. And eternity is the. Destiny of this life. Christianity leads to salvation & heaven. Buddhism leads to Hell and the great tribulation. It is a form of Antichrist. Beware Richard!My God created compassion and there is none wiser than Jesus, God my Father God!

Buddhism believed heaven and hell is in your mind. There is an actions and the results of your actions will come back to you only when time is right for it to happen. Open your mind, and learn all what have been teaching in all then "think" and decide by yourself. Not just one and believed without questions why? By the way my great-grandfather was a missionary.
