Thanks! I do have a rack at home but it is hard to get in a workout there without constant interruptions from the wife and kids! Lunchbreak at work is much easier.
Excellent tutorial! I agree with what all you said. Now you can do the knees over toes while doing air squats if you have that mobility to keep you back more straight, but I wouldn't recommend it with heavy weight on your back. Solid video and workout 💪🏽
Great work and message here Ken!! I can only imagine what half these trolls look like let alone what kind of real world experience they have at pushing any weight!! Keep killing it!!
I need to be doing more volume 1 day a week. The trick is to do enough without doing too much and aggravating my shoulders. I have been gradually trying to build up more volume slowly on Mondays for a while now, trying to increase how much my right shoulder can take.
there is a lot that goes into the squat. Lots of body mechanics. Some can do the more straight back, some not so much. I have tried and tried to keep more upright. It wasnt going to happen unless i squatted on my smith machine. Like ive mentioned before, you can lean into the smith machine all day long and stay upright. BUT free weights are way different. I worked on them for a LONG time. I even gave up trying to get to depth before. BUT i kept fighting. NOW im getting to depth but I will bend for sure..BUT super happy with my progress. AND you'll get your goal soon too..
There is a lot that goes on. Squats are such a complicated movement. A couple weeks ago I fixed one of the students squats. He had his heels coming up off of the floor and ended up on his toes at one point during every rep. In about 10 minutes he was doing a near perfect squat. The mechanics can be a little different for each person.
Squatting is the most normal movement we do as primates..watch kids do it. watch the African tribes and other people squat all day long. Its bad for US because Americans have lost the ability from lack of movement over the years. Laziness
It's funny that you say that! My M.I.L grew up in South Korea and she squats all day long working in the garden. When I help her I use "white man tools" that is tools with a long handle so that the work is done standing. She wants no part of it. She uses her short handled tools while squatting.
Good video. I appreciate it even more that you're trying to knock this out on your lunch break.

Thanks! Squats are a very technical movement and require constant work!
