Planting Yam in ridges

- This video shoes how you can make yam ridges with condemned tires in a manner that makes harvesting a lot easier than it usually is for yams planted directly on a level ground.
The reason behind this technique is to ensure there is a cylindrical ridge which can take two to three yam seedling, as against the conical ridge which only leaves room for planting only one yam seedling whilst still taking the same basal area as the cylindrical ridge
These cylindrical ridges are between 2 - 2.5ft in depth and we are hoping that our harvests can ride on 80% of the dept which means extra work of harvesting will be required for those yam tubers that grow beyond 2ft into the ground beneath the ridges.
All harvests that are 2ft or less will definitely be very easy to get out of the ground.
kindly join us on this journey so that we can all see the result of this yam planting method for this season.
