Not really. Telling someone else what is 'punk' is, however. Punk is a way bigger concept than can be handled thoroughly here, or in fact anywhere as it's very subjective to each persons individual experience of the subject at hand. But. Punk is not just a style of music, not a strict lifestyle or whatever, it's an attitude of defiance you can find in many other forms throughout written history. Punk was never born (except as a 'fashion') and hence never died either. It just is. JM.
Emo and punks are different.. and to all those who say heavy metal rules your place is not here because this is stuff about punks and emos only.. no heavy metal said.. by the way Punk rules and its no closer than emo..
