I mean ufotable made fire out of season 2 alone which was only 4-6 panels fights.
Personally I don’t think I would have been able to receive Demon slayer’s massage directly on a emotional level

I feel bad for the author, imangine releasing your first work with the sales being fairly high in japan then suddenly getting so popular globally just for it to get dogpiled everytime just because of the simple writing. For me Demon slayer holds dear for my heart simply because the simplicity is forgotten in the shounen jump mangas.
Its MORE complex to tell a simple story effectively and make you tear up and feel HYPE, which is what Demon Slayer does season after season. This is extremely hard to do. Anybody can make a anime out of genius stories, demon slaywr is a phenomenon for a reason. The STORYTELLING is what matters at the end of the day. And Demon Slayer nails that.

Meanwhile in UFOtable’s own library there’s Katsugeki and Fate series which looked WAY better than Demon Slayer S1 and were released in 2017. Katsugeki esp is like a print of Demon slayer but it released BEFORE it in 2017. But it didnt get popular, at ALL.
Theres a reason why Demon Slayer is the highest grossing Japanese movie in history somw ppl just want to cope 😂
The writing isn't "simple" lot's of great shows have simple enough and straight forward writing (Avatar The Last Airbender is one such show) the writing for Demon Slayer is complete f*cking dogshit, that's the problem. 😂
@@Teja If we're being honest the animation and action scenes did in fact carry the show, that's why Mugen Train is such a high grossing movie, not because of the story, lol.
The story, is as I've said complete dogshit.
From the unexplained power system, to how stupid Muzan was written, to under developed characters, I could go on and on.
As fun as Demon Slayer is, the show is just dumb.

in my opinion only fighting scenes are better in anime otherwise i think manga style is better. its just so eye catching, the way koyoharu uses black and white is very nice and manga style itself has that unique feel to it. i cant pinpoint exactly whats diffrent but you can notice it. also some scenes are better in anime, for example upper moon meeting.
i disagree that you can just skip kny manga, i think if you like demon slayer you should read at least a little bit of manga
It’s too late for me to skip the manga as I got the box set + the Fire & Water side story.
Animators like nozumo abe and masayuki kunihiro do an excellent job translating demon slayer in an animated format, they have animated some iconic fight scenes that were pretty Underwhelming in manga
Eventho i dont really like any of the designs, the characters are very recognizable, just like OPM (ONE) version.

Yea it’s utterly pointless to compare an anime with a manga visually, how can a black & white manga compete with a full colour anime? Of course the fight scenes are going to look better, but even though the anime looks better, I’ll choose the manga over the anime all day long. I just much prefer reading the manga to watching the anime, and this is across the board with nearly every story, the only one I can think of that I actually preferred the anime was the new Rurouni Kenshin, I really enjoyed that anime.
for the past few years, everybody claims that its a mid story, mid art, you get the point… i know its everybodys opinion but its been getting on my nerve, especially when i say i like demon slayer, i get hate or no reason, i love demon slayer not because its animation, but because it holds deep in my heart. i love anything that has to do with katanas and japan’s history, demon slayer was the perfect match for me, i loved everything about it… i love demon slayer and i respect everybody’s opinion. except most of the fanbase are pure brainrot 😭
Demon slayer is bottom 3 for me in terms of every shonen I've watched so far, but that doesn't mean its bad far from it. I get really annoyed when people say that demon slayer has a bad story because its simplistic, well you know what else has a really simple story? Vagabond. Simple does not equal bad.
BTW, bottom 3 is not an insult. Hitman reborn is at the bottom and that's a 6.75 so far, demon slayer is like a 7.75. Pretty damn good. I could probably name like 10 absolutely generational moments from this series and it's sad that it either gets praised completely or gets ignored for being basic or shitted on completely.

I collected the whole manga after I watched all of S1, especially after the Rui fight, and I enjoyed what I read. I can't wait to see Infinity Castle animated. That will be awesome, but the swordsmith village and final arc was pretty shit no lie.

I come to share my opinion I think demon slayer is heavily inspired by bleach and it could have been so much better if the guy who made bleach also made demon slayer
My favourite manga. short and sweet. Great characters and a simple power system. It's a story I can read in a weekend unlike some of my other favourites (Naruto, Fairy Tail), so I keep rereading it. I feel like I understand so much more about the characters on a reread. It's even the first series I've bought every single volume for.
Thank goodness for Ufotable for introducing it to me, too. Mugen Train was just too good I had to pick up the manga, lack of animation be damned, lol!
Side Note: Is the title a typo? The title currently says "Why You Can Skip Demon Slayer's Manga", shouldn't it be "Can't"? It sounds like you found value in the manga. Even at the end you say "You should still take time to read the manga and see how it inspired the anime".
I absolutely love the character designs, they’re my favourite of any manga, every character is extremely unique looking, I love every single one. When I started reading JJK I couldn’t tell some of the characters apart & they all look so boring. The story is extremely fast paced and has no filler, it doesn’t do anything extremely unique but everything it does, it does excellently. It’s an extremely fun story.

@@Dan-vr9mj I think it's great because it's short enough that I can reread it and understand everything a little more. The first time I read it, I didn't think it was my favourite. That happened on one of my rereads. In comparison, I can't reread One Piece in a weekend because it's too long, so I've never reread it. Heck, I never picked up Kingdom because its just too long, and I never picked up Berserk because it was always on break and I heard it moved at a snail's pace (something about a boat). In comparison, KnY is 205 chapters of lightning fast pacing, and throughout the manga's 4 year run, Gotouge never ever took a single author break.
Not saying your favs aren't great, just showing why I kept coming back to KnY and eventually fell in love with it.
In my opinion, the character design and themes in Demon slayer are something I can't find in other anime. But I do agree on the story being somewhat mid. Don't get me wrong, Demon slayer is better than a lot of anime, but its story just kinda felt empty. The author had great characters that the audience can connect with, good fight scenes, and good themes in the story, but the story just felt messy at times. Though most people say Demonslayer is carried by its animation, I think the characters and themes is what makes demonslayer great, not the story. I do hope the new movie trilogy can cover the remaining arcs better, as those felt the most rushed (although, the author had family issues which made writing the story rushed). Characters: 9/10 Themes: 10/10 Story: 7/10. I'm not going into the visual side of this story since that's mostly subjective. Overall, demonslayer is a 8.5-9/10
I am not the biggest fan of Demon slayer. I don’t hate or anything. It’s an all right shonen my biggest problem with the series. It’s so goddamn overrated, to me I just see it as a generic shonen nothing special.

I think demon slayer is a good show with some ups and downs but the thing holding the show back to be not as good as people rate it is the story for me. The story has some amazing moments like episode 19 and final episode of season three but they aren't as crazy as other moments in other anime. What most people would say about demon slayer is how well animated a particular fight was. Nothing else. (Imo btw).

Demon Slayer is ass
As someone who hopes to create a similar anime one day with the same artstyle I love both the Manga and Anime. I want to take inspiration from both and also enjoy what it is on it's own.
The only problem with the demon slayer adaptation is its slow pacing, there is no reason for swordsmith village and entertainment district to be 28 episodes in length.
They adapt only 62 chapters. Demon slayer chapters arent as packed as a chapter from undead unluck or world trigger, this really makes its episodes drag for me.
I haven’t checked those ones but they’re just adapting the manga, there’s no filler, it’s as long as it needs to be.
If they adapted it how you want it there would be 0 emotional connection lol

@@toontoon54 I haven’t watched Swordsmith village arc, but every other arc had no filler at all. You could follow page for page with the manga. I find it hard to believe they suddenly just started adding filler.
@@InfamyOrDeath-__- There's always been filler. There's only one episode that's completely filler, but there is filler present in many of the episodes with canon material. It's always been like that, though I do think Swordsmith Village does even more

This is incredibly disrespectful to the original creator, Koyoharu Gotouge, especially with that title. Just let people enjoy the story in the way they choose. You can't just only credit the author for the character designs, they literally wrote and drew the original story this anime is adapting. Without the manga, the anime would not exist. Curb your disrespect, you have a platform, you shouldn't be using that to wrongfully discredit the original creator of the story you're talking about and straight up saying you can skip the source material.

Just because the anime is really well done doesn't mean we should discredit what came before. That's not an "opinion", that's straight up just discrediting the original creator.

The author all ready had a bad story that didn't make sense at times like how did tanjiro think it was a fire breathing on the mountain when breathing affects weren't real does he have schizophrenia and how did he breathe in water when the swamp demon trapped him is he a fish and especially the ending tanjiro is no longer a demon king thanks to the power of friendship like how he has been genetically transformed into the demon King how could friend ship save him

Very hot take, but the anime adaptation is kinda terrible imo tbh. The manga is better in essentially every way. The anime has amazing voice acting, music and whatnot, which is awesome. But with the manga, I'd say every visual component looks better, you have important content the anime cut and important content the anime poorly changed. Ufotable frequently messes with the story, creating plot holes, ruining plot lines, removing tension and dialogue, etc.

There both lacking story wise the anime has good animation and it would have never gotten popular without good looking fights
