I actually do not know the gauge of the wire that I'm using😅...Yes I just use the same size as it's ideal for the small figures that I'm making. Though for big figures such as this one you can definitely use a thicker wire.

If I'm not mistaken play doh is too soft to work with. While polymer clay, I can bake it so it hardens and it's easier to sculpt.
I might have exagerated with the wrinkles and ended up on making him older
